I like Tella but you are unable to use it with existing recordings. You have to do everithing in it. The upload section is pretty limited. I hope they update it so it can be more like Decript
I used it to upload a single recording so I could add zoom-ins easier, but it would be great if you could add in a screenshare AND a talking head and edit together!
Great insights in this video!!! Something changed about your mic/sound from 3 years ago sound fuller richer and more pro now. For Windows you can right click -> unclick show desktop icons .....also in Chrom to hide bookmarks bar Ctrl-shift-b
I’ve been loving Tella and its ease of use. I use my iPhone as my camera using Camo and had some audio sync issues in Tella. Solved it by using Camo as my audio output, as their app natively fixes sync issues. And in Tella I had to make sure to turn off recording system sounds because that conflicts with Camo as an audio source & doubles the audio. Wanted to share that tidbit for anyone in the same scenario as me. Another great video!
I am about to start recording a course and was going to do it through zoom mostly because the quality of what I look like on it is the best. I am just learning how to use ecamm but to use zoom through it you have to use the ecamm camera as a virtual and it's too blurry in the zoom window. I'm so curious how you do it because you look so beautiful on camera! You threw out a lot of tools though so I'm confused what your workflow actually is for your YT videos?

Another great video. Great timing too. Just getting ready to pull the trigger on Descript though, mostly since I felt it was your fave. You didn’t even mention them here. Are you done with Descript?
Thank you! Glad it was good timing for you :-) I talked about Descript at 5:18 but yes I still use Descript. It doesn't work for my camera setup to record directly into any more but I almost always being my videos into it to make my rough edits, then polish in Premiere Pro.
You sure did! How did I how miss that? 😮Especially when I was watching for you to mention them. Ok. The 3rd watch will be the charm. I do rely on your opinions as I research to make my own decisions. Thanks for the great content. As always, thanks for the reply.
Thanks for the video. Something you didn’t cover is virtual backgrounds. Zoom and Teams are good but the video quality is lacking. I’d prefer to avoid the complications of a green screen. I tried OBS but the virtual background plugin is poor quality. Is there anything that is as least as good as Zoom at superimposing you over a virtual background without a green screen?
Speaking of recordings, I have 2 suggestions....stay focused on the topic (Best/Worst Apps) vs this at at 1:49 . Also, put the name or logo of the app you're discussing on screen as you're talking about it. Lastly, use the app names in your chapter titles. I wanted to find what you said about OBS Studio and I can't find it. You've got it listed so I assume you talked about it.
@@jcepri as someone who is just getting started, meaning I haven't even done my first video, I very much appreciate that tip at 1:49. It's something I wouldn't have thought about.
Good to see your picks Ms. Meredith. Tella is what I’ve decided on, for now anyway. 👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome tips, thank you for sharing!!
very cool. thank you :)
Thank you so much! I’ve been struggling with Tella but it looks like Camtasia has the functionality I need and it’s the same price as Tella
Awesome! Good luck with it!

Honestly the easiest thing is to situate yourself in a space that doesn't require a green screen or virtual background.
Sucks that camtasia isn't connecting to Google at the moment
