im sitting here after seeing this clip and wondering the same thing my brother.. it seems Good ol days have been missed.. Im recycling all sf4 content and even A3 thingys.. SFV was 2 bad.
It's actually really sweet to see Daigo trying to learn the psychology behind Akuma's ultra 1. Seeing him use it in the most predictable and obvious ways is a nice reminder that Daigo isn't so different from the rest of us.
@RajmanGamingHD It's an option select it's just that Daigo timed/spaced it a bit early and since the palm didn't hit anything the Ultra came out, which is the nature of that OS, if the palm whiffs it means that the opponent went for a backdash (most likely) so the Ultra comes out to punish but if the palm touches the opponent then it means they stood still knowing a DP wouldn't save them from the situation so the Ultra doesn't come out.
Daigo plays his Akuma weirdly. Burns meter recklessly, zones a lot. However, his corner pressure is insane and he knows when to switch up a gear when it's needed. Refreshing stuff.
@Linkcrc I guess another momochi was too much to hope for- but Daigo does seem the patient type- maybe its because of the changes to fireball meter building?
Wow he really has improved. I'm wondering what's the technology behind the fadc to standing close strong - hk tatsu. Maybe for stun? As a gouki player I'm impressed
Daigo mentioned that he plays under "gameinn"at a friend's place, so whenever you see an online ranked match like this, it's always possible that it's not actually him.
Never seen that before but I guess its because when done up close Akuma uses his knee first so he is still technically on the ground. Not sure about that though.
I have a question, how do you link Vega's two crouching medium kicks consecutively? I've been trying that and it doesn't seem to work. l.mk l.mk l.mp looks really awesome!
As much as I love playing street fighter I don't know how these people don't get bored, particularly when you're at diago's level. After 25 straight wins I'd move onto something else.
U2 has low damage, and it's not like it's really comboable. It's mostly used for fireball punishes, but Vega doesn't have fireballs. Also, U1 is about just as easy to land, provided you can set the perfect bait. Daigo hasn't been playing Akuma long, it seems, but I'm sure he'll figure something out.
This would be such a better game if throw tech windows were larger to account for lag. The number of times that Vega should have tech-ed is ridiculous.
He asked, "This is the latest version of the game" You said "This is sf2" I said "He was asking which verion of SFIV this is" Not which sfgame it is. So your comment came across a little trolly. Hence the crappy rating for the crappy troll comment.
Tokido would fear me..... NO!"!! lol i m not patient enough to be there waiting for the right opportunity.... even though i play SF since THE first ever game released.
why the hell am i watching Daigo play Akuma in AE2012, 9 years after lmao

I think everyone forgets that Daigo played Akuma in Street Fighter Alpha
Its nice to see Daigo go for the flashy ending for once.

has been waiting for so long for daigo's matches

Thank you! that's been a mystery to me for the longest time!
That is one of the properties of a focus attack. It does more damage than a regular hit but scales the damage down faster.
No matter what it seems that daigo will always be the most entertaining competitor in my opinion. I just really like the aggression he shows.
That smart rascal used the invincibility frames in the back dash to avoid the poke pressure in the last round
So Daigo doesnt OS his ultras, he shows throws them out? Nice

wow, that corner throw pressure was NASTY!!....WHOOOO....WEEE
Hey does anyone know when Evo 2012 tournament starts?
Wow he really has improved. I'm wondering what's the technology behind the fadc to standing close strong - hk tatsu. Maybe for stun? As a gouki player I'm impressed
Last time I saw Daigo's Akuma he played him like Ryu. Now his Akuma looks like Akuma.
I love how at the top you can see he finishes with a 29 win streak...
never give up, never surrender!!
Daigo gonna represent akuma on evo?
Daigo mentioned that he plays under "gameinn"at a friend's place, so whenever you see an online ranked match like this, it's always possible that it's not actually him.
Daigo has used akuma since evo of last year. He picked him up immediately after the poongko debacle.
gameinn is a shared account with a guy friend with daigo as i know and that doesnt mean that daigo is the one who is playin
So is SSFIV AE the newest one?. or SF xTekken?. And which 1 is the most active online plz reply any info will help!
Never seen that before but I guess its because when done up close Akuma uses his knee first so he is still technically on the ground. Not sure about that though.
wow, that was a brutal beat down. It's like through that fight you could feel Daigo's burning desire to destroy that flying bitch that is Vega.
Round at 5:54. Absolutely destruction. Holy shit.
I have a question, how do you link Vega's two crouching medium kicks consecutively? I've been trying that and it doesn't seem to work. l.mk l.mk l.mp looks really awesome!
DAMMMN i didnt realise how sick Daigo's Akuma was. Daigo should go back to him.
that saving pressure, only daigo can do that.
yes he does.. he has even said it when asked..
Good stuff, interesting daigo play, never seen him use tokido
Subscribed
agree, vega is free as hell. But is still pretty fun character to use i think thats the reason
Daigo plays Akuma patiently in a "Ryu like" of way.
Vega started as El Zorro, he finished as Sancho Panza!!!
hows does he he do that jab then always gets a counter with the srk afterwards. looks kool
Daigo needed that overhead to ultra up close
Fight 2 (round 26) was awesome
both of them are equally active online....I can't tell a difference...and I know this is old....
Daigo's Akuma is unique....
@XblackvegetaX no 30th win? what happened
this is the latest version of the game right?
Daigo's playing Akuma as if it's Ryu
Does anyone know why the Vega player pushes both roundhouse and strong for the Kara throws?
pink.
plink*
Why doesn't Vega user utilize 3-button backflips??
Its so true. When players use akuma like that, it takes the piss. Akuma is one of the best characters so why dont people use him properly
Good old fashion Ryuma.
would love to see daigo akuma vs tikiko akuma.. two very different styles..
Very nice sets ^_^
lol in Rival Schools for the original Playstation there's actually a character called Daigo.
Is he playing Akuma now or is still with Ryu?
3:23, daigo's caught the throw fever
His Akuma is legittt
@AWSMFOX is 3rd ok?
As much as I love playing street fighter I don't know how these people don't get bored, particularly when you're at diago's level. After 25 straight wins I'd move onto something else.
Free practice against a range of characters and these guys really really love fighting games where as you might just like them.
Love the first match, he's all: I WILL LAND AT LEAST 1 RAGING DEMON RAWR
Vega's backflips should be used sparingly. To be honest, players like Daigo would punish them without thinking twice.
is this on the ps3 or xbox
He play with akuma too. But his first main n ever main is ryu n yun.

Tatsu can be canceled on the first hit before he actually leaves the ground.
Where's infiltration at!!
I didnt realise Daigo's wins were at 25 til the 3rd round lol
25 wins against player with 5000k plus pp?
SF4 on the other hand...Online is hot like fire!
@tedd3y
The Sim matchup also comes into my mind.
What in God's name are you typing about?
daigo is not human he is a programmed cyborg by capcom
best player w/ 0bp i've ever seen...
@ew0k187 plus; the style is totally different from Tokido.
Don't you mean 29?
insane adaption.
Couldn't handle the flip pressure.
He uses it, but i think he has certain reasons to use u1 in this match up...
I take it diago is unfamiliar with akuma then? how unusual, but then again, I only ever saw him playing as ryu...
@IHeartDieWaffenSS2 and Kazunoko's tiers are the fucking final word on everything
Heh, he plays Akuma a lot like his Ryu. And looking at his buttons, it looks like he plays him more straight that Tokido.
this is not Daigo. this is Daigo's brother. lol
daigo play akuma just like ryu where tokido & Infiltration is way more aggressive but still good to see daigo matches daigo plz play wid evil ryu.
That win count!!!!!!
5:52 tokido took over
Noticed that in the second match :P
@fernandowhizard Dice el que no tiene idea de que significa zonear, safe jumps, no sabe leer frame data, etc.
5:07 to 5:09 mistake every Vega player will always make at least once
25 WINS?!! OMG!!!!
sure thing
with him being sponsored and all I would assume he would have had an xbox bought for him and yearly subs. Why does he play at a friends house?
Lol towards the end I start rooting for brokenG . Poor guy is getting owned despite his high level of play with Vega
Even Daigo wake-up ultras.
Bring the body bag!
Thx for replying :$
daigo has a xbox at home, get your info right..
@4:55 did he just cancel a tatsu?!9_0

man i cant stand watching vega get trashed to a pulp, has he ever been a favourite pick in tourneys :|
daigo playing akuma? wow.
Lol at BrokkenG for pressing crouch-tech. Daigo exposed that
