Problem being, that unlike the rest of the protagonists, his ace was just too good, so writing a difficult duel while it was in the picture was impossible (combined with the shouting from the ocg and tcg). So they had to kill it and make him use his gaia/flame wingman/junk warrior instead. Also, fairy tail snow is still a stank bitch. anybody who faces lightsworns regularly likely knows this. The lack of grass does not change that. She deserved this bullet.

I always said Blaster is the only one that can come back, if any of them ever did. All it does is pop a card when it discards itself. The others are all extenders or searchers if I remember right when they discard themselves.

I remember when Mobius, the Frost Monarch was limited to 1. A 2400ATK tribute monster that has no effect for/when special summoned, and only pops 2 backrow *of your opponent only* . Also needs to be tribute-summoned for the effect, and no once per turn. Feel old yet? I do. Mobius used to be my ace back in school.
It was used 4 times in 80 episodes. The other protagonists (except Jaden) used their aces at least 15 times (at least 20 for Utopia and Odd-Eyes) in the first 80 episodes. I think it's safe to say Firewall has not got the same treatment the other aces did from the very start.

People complained about Yuma abusing utopia every duel, and some wouldve been sick of odd eyes were it not for its dozens of forms. the other factors that contribute it being the flagship ace pretty much stand, it just so happens firewall is the most ridiculous one and is somehow the worse treated probably to vrains trying to break a bit of the conventions seen in past shows.

Why the heck would they semi limit personal spoofing? Sure it shuffles any altergeist card to add an altergeist monster to the hand, but spoofing can't be searched by any current altergeist cards and it can't be protected by emulelf since it doesn't have altergeist in the name. Kagari at two would have been fine but at one is also fine! Recycling through Hercules base will become a thing and more skill in deck Building and playing!

It stupid to ban number 95 instead of errata of gandora. Now other decks that use number 95 will suffer, while in TCG gandora is no problem because of slight change in texting.

If you still haven't figured it out, VRAINS goes by an "Ace of the week" format, in order to advertise physical product. It's a commercial, and a far cry from the days of cards like Dark Magician which had an actual purpose in the story. Everything from GX-VRAINS are spin-offs and are not based on any comic book source the way the original was.
The fact that people still argue wether Firewall or Decode is the ace makes me think this is the first protagonist to not have an actual ace monster. Yugi - Dark Magician Jaden (yes, I watched dub) - E-Hero Neos Yusei - Stardust Dragon Gollum - No.39 : Utopia Yuya: Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon And now this guy.

I am happy with the route OCG went with Pendulums. Both can agree that Kirin and Monkeyboard were poorly design choices and keep them ban. But OCG decides that other Pendulums aren't broken enough to be banned and are fine at 1 unlike the TCG which either bans them or keeps them at 3.
I disagree, putting astrograph and chrinigraph to 1 is basically baning them, since it's not consistent to run them, wich makes magicians almost impossible to play
@@pedrodarosamello64 If Astrograph were that inconsistent then no one would play him and yet EVERY Magician player competitive or not uses him (myself included) because it doesn't change the fact that he is a Level 7 2.5k beater that special summons himself and gives a +1. Even with Chronograph at 1, it doesn't change the fact that he is a level 6 DARK Spellcaster so it can be used as materials for Supreme King Starving and Norito. And he is still searchable, he still makes combo plays happen, and he is still used as a fodder to level 8 synchro summons (Needle effect, special summon a Lv2 Tuner from deck and use that Tuner + Chronograph to make Savage Dragon). You can't really make an assumption about the deck in the OCG format if you haven't actually played it. There is a major difference between the game plays' of the TCG and OCG Magicians.
@@Real_Infinity95 I don't think Monkeyboard and Kirin were poorly designed. I know for a fact, if they weren't poorly designed then they wouldn't be banned. Monkeyboard and Kirin were the reasons why Pendulum completely dominated over everything in both formats when they were legal. Do you not understand that Monkeyboard is a free +1 that can search out another card that gives a +1? Joker is fine because it can only activate on your normal summon which you can only do once per turn. Monkeyboard on the other hand is activated as a scale which you can activate as many times as you want. I understand the effect is once per turn but even if the activation as a scale was negated you can find ways to recycle that Monkeyboard back on the same turn and activate it as a scale again. And it can be used as a fodder for Wavering Eyes and Electrumite (yes I know Elect can destroy your face up monsters too but you wouldn't get her trigger effect). Kirin is self explanatory. If you can't understand why Kirin is poorly designed then you clearly need to go back and reread the card again or at least look at replays of when Kirin was available. Like for ffs the card is a searchable Level 6 that has a low scale of 2 with 2k atk/def, can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects (semi-towers), can recycle your own Pend monsters, and bounce the opponent's monster back to disrupt his gameplay. All in either player's turn.
Gaurddragon summons Galaxy Cipher, then summon Dark Matter on top of it, Dark Matter send 3 dragon (Eclipse Wyvern and something) that some how bring back gandora. Or you can just search "Gandora FTK" in RUclips...
Basically Gandora nukes the field and deal dmg to your oponent equal to the ATK of the strongest monster nuked, note thst the FTK does NOT work on the TCG, since in the OCG gandora will deal dmg based on the monster that had the higest atk but in the TCG it will be the highest ORIGINAL atk

What Konami needs to do is experiment with what ban cards could come back and what couldn't. The way the ban list now is a cluttered mess.

It stupid to ban number 95 instead of errata of gandora. Now other decks that use number 95 will suffer, while in TCG gandora is no problem because of slight change in texting.

If you still haven't figured it out, VRAINS goes by an "Ace of the week" format, in order to advertise physical product. It's a commercial, and a far cry from the days of cards like Dark Magician which had an actual purpose in the story. Everything from GX-VRAINS are spin-offs and are not based on any comic book source the way the original was.
Phoenix blade is the proper hit for now. Not saying that isolde is not busted, but at least now looping gumblar would be much harder.
The fact that people still argue wether Firewall or Decode is the ace makes me think this is the first protagonist to not have an actual ace monster.

I am happy with the route OCG went with Pendulums.
Both can agree that Kirin and Monkeyboard were poorly design choices and keep them ban.
But OCG decides that other Pendulums aren't broken enough to be banned and are fine at 1 unlike the TCG which either bans them or keeps them at 3.
I disagree, putting astrograph and chrinigraph to 1 is basically baning them, since it's not consistent to run them, wich makes magicians almost impossible to play

@@pedrodarosamello64 If Astrograph were that inconsistent then no one would play him and yet EVERY Magician player competitive or not uses him (myself included) because it doesn't change the fact that he is a Level 7 2.5k beater that special summons himself and gives a +1.
Even with Chronograph at 1, it doesn't change the fact that he is a level 6 DARK Spellcaster so it can be used as materials for Supreme King Starving and Norito. And he is still searchable, he still makes combo plays happen, and he is still used as a fodder to level 8 synchro summons (Needle effect, special summon a Lv2 Tuner from deck and use that Tuner + Chronograph to make Savage Dragon).
You can't really make an assumption about the deck in the OCG format if you haven't actually played it. There is a major difference between the game plays' of the TCG and OCG Magicians.

@@Real_Infinity95 I don't think Monkeyboard and Kirin were poorly designed. I know for a fact, if they weren't poorly designed then they wouldn't be banned. Monkeyboard and Kirin were the reasons why Pendulum completely dominated over everything in both formats when they were legal.
Do you not understand that Monkeyboard is a free +1 that can search out another card that gives a +1? Joker is fine because it can only activate on your normal summon which you can only do once per turn. Monkeyboard on the other hand is activated as a scale which you can activate as many times as you want. I understand the effect is once per turn but even if the activation as a scale was negated you can find ways to recycle that Monkeyboard back on the same turn and activate it as a scale again. And it can be used as a fodder for Wavering Eyes and Electrumite (yes I know Elect can destroy your face up monsters too but you wouldn't get her trigger effect).
Kirin is self explanatory. If you can't understand why Kirin is poorly designed then you clearly need to go back and reread the card again or at least look at replays of when Kirin was available. Like for ffs the card is a searchable Level 6 that has a low scale of 2 with 2k atk/def, can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects (semi-towers), can recycle your own Pend monsters, and bounce the opponent's monster back to disrupt his gameplay. All in either player's turn.

Gaurddragon summons Galaxy Cipher, then summon Dark Matter on top of it, Dark Matter send 3 dragon (Eclipse Wyvern and something) that some how bring back gandora. Or you can just search "Gandora FTK" in RUclips...
Basically Gandora nukes the field and deal dmg to your oponent equal to the ATK of the strongest monster nuked, note thst the FTK does NOT work on the TCG, since in the OCG gandora will deal dmg based on the monster that had the higest atk but in the TCG it will be the highest ORIGINAL atk
