I LOVE listening to full films, just the audio. I'd listen to Star Wars repeatedly with my walkman when I was a kid, to fall asleep at night. Anyway, I'd love to get a copy of your '82 Blade Runner recording but that dropbox link is not working for me. Could you possibly wetransfer it? Blade Runner, the best of all. Never ever seen a film like this. And Yes, the music is fantastic. And Rutger Hauer (I am from Holland) has an unforgettable part in this movie. Till the day I die, this movie will always play in my head.

Movies of movies , indeed. BTW you noticed the resemblance between Roy Batty and the character from Ghost in the Shell ¨Batou¨ ? Even the clothes are similar many times. Blade Runner was the founding stone of cyberpunk and modern scifi.

The tune that starts at 10:15 makes me think of Deckard and Rachel wanting to be together but not knowing if they can or for how long they could be together. Kind of a futuristic Romeo and Juliet. Beautiful!

I escaped school for that and took risks to be catched... many many times to watch and watch BR ;-) I had BR's sketchbook with Ridley's storyboards, Syd Mead's artworks (cryocript, sidewalk diner...) and I bought Syd Mead's Oblagon later - I even got the French press kit, the little book given to critics and journalists ... I was leaving in BR ;-)

I actually did blackscreen because I like to listen to stuff on my TV with youtube and its keeps the room dark. But never thought of the battery saving aspect of it! Cheers!
@@AlexGreggstv oh well, good idea regardless. Especially pays off on phones with O-LED screens like mine bc they completely turn of pixels to portray true black color values, meaning it basically switches off the screen until you tap it to pause etc. Everyone should do it like this! :D

They should have a rollercoaster dedicated to the Blade Runner franchise! That would be magical. This is the first time listening to the first Blade Runner soundtrack and it brings complete joy to me! I feel...I feel like I'm having an out of body experience. Jeez, I sure hope our souls will continue to live eternally and one day, one day I hope I'll be born into a Blade Runner world or maybe this world will soon be it. a dystopian movie from the past that now rings even more true than before. The Vangelis sound track and the early - but exceptional - CGI make it an all time classic.
