I can't get over the fact that Deus EX is so underrated, I mean how can you not like Adam Jensen ? what a charisma he has, and Mankind Divided was awesome, I enjoyed every bit of it
Ikr 🤷🏾♂️ It is one of the few games where I did several play throughs. You discover something different every time, even some objectives you didn't realize was in the game
I am a die-hard DX fan and DX is my favorite game of all time (with DX:HR being in the top 5 as well), but DX:MD just didn't feel right. It looked amazing, but it didn't feel like DX in some way. Maybe it was because a lot of the game was not during night time, which is honestly a must in DX (the last part of DX:HR in the arctic also failed to convex the DX feeling).
I love this game so much. What a shame the masses did not share my feelings on this one. I had a very special time with it and the music was a big part of it. Thanks for the upload mate :)
It is a good game by any standards, regardless of what its haters would have us believe. I think the story and its characters are really well-developed when compared to other contemporary RPGs, all while maintaining that touch of mystery reminiscent of previous titles in the franchise. I like the fact that the game takes place in Prague, which is a very nice although relatively unexplored setting in the world of videogames. I love Deus Ex! Hopefully there will be a future game. One can only wish...
the negativity was not so much about the game itself but rather about how scummy the "Augment your Pre-Order" and Square Enix's handling of the game was
I loved it while it lasted, but it was very clearly cut in half to make more money, which really annoyed me. Then ending isn't even a cliffhanger, it's just a midway point in the story. Real shame imo.
You guys think maybe the games we see die today could be the ones that relive tomorrow? Maybe one day tech will be so advanced that we may yet see them again in much better condition?
A masterpiece. The softer ambient music in this game not only ties in with the areas you are in, but with Adam's life. A lot of the quieter tracks allude to the sorrow and hardships he's had to face if you truly listen and think about all he's gone through.
Good observation. The main version of the TF29 theme does this well, too. The fast percussion and synths give the impression of the relentless activity of TF29 and by extension, Adam's busy lifestyle. But around 2:30 in that track you hear some sorrowful vocal elements that are drowned out by the more mechanical and percussive sounds. In other words, the demands placed on him by TF29 and all of the people using him (not to mention his augmentation) are drowning out his humanity.
Mass Effect 1: Ilos Battle. One of the tracks that will get burned into the player's brain, and happens at an important juncture. Naturally it isn't on the soundtrack.
"To me the saddest music isn't the purely sad type, but the type with a bit of hope" I feel the same way. I think I know the reason too. When music or a story is sad with no hope, that means you failed, you lost, you died, its over and done. The book is closed. Once the book is closed the sadness is not active or alive anymore. But sadness with hope, is different. It means that you are fighting, it means your are in the trenches, it means you are dirty and hurting, it means you are cut, bruised, swollen, and failing but not failed. It means you are in darkness but you know there is light somewhere, and you sure as hell won't give in til you are on the floor, dead, without a pulse. That music is the best, because that is where we all are in a sense. We are all in the story with all the sadness but moving forward toward to something. That something which we have all wanted our whole lives.
Love these ambient themes, they're probably from the important dialogues throughout the game. Nice job putting this together, you literally put my favorite tracks in one "video".
Same here, Sergio. Every single one too, it seems. I also agree with Eagle here, thats the best time to pay attention to the music. During social encounters. And firefights. Gotta love "The Machine God", that track is so inspiring...

I studied neuroscience to this track, it was great. I especially liked how it wasn't like many other ambient tracks where it's just one song basically playing the same thing over and over. This was the perfect combination of ambience, variance and 'mystery'. Made me concentrate through the last questions I needed to answer for my next lecture.
absolutely love Dues ex, was just very disappointed with how this one ended, with us getting no conclusion to any of the major plot points in the game, it was all like, "just wait for the next game" lol. however now find out because of poor sales of mankind divided which is most likely because of the negative backlash they got at the launch of the game, they have no plans for another sequel anytime soon, which really bums me out. I really enjoyed all the gameplay and side quests and music and atmosphere of mankind divided.
I don't get why people say that the game left most plot points hanging. Sure, you don't get a concrete answer on how Jensen got his new augmentations (although it's strongly hinted that it's part of a second illuminati plot to infiltrate the juggernaut collective), but you do find out the truth about the golden masked mercenaries and the train station bombings, as well as discovering the connection between TF29 and the illuminati (that serves to set up UNATCO from the first game) which is what you set out to do in the first place. You even have a face off with their operative in charge and, depending on your choices, foil their plan to assassinate Nathaniel Brown, and gain complete control over the augmented. The only thing you don't do is stop the Illuminati for good, and if you played the original, which I assume you did, then you know the why of that.
I come many years later to just share how much this game meant to me. Like many others before me. He music was integral to my enjoyment. Sometimes id just walk around an area or stand somewhere and jam out on the soundtrack and ambience for a bit. The entire series (not invisible war) was great. I replay it often
Lol same here. I remember I would stand outside an apartment in the courtyard and I had like beautiful lights on the ground. I loved just looking at it and listening to the soundtrack. The news channel in the game was really relaxing too. Idk it felt kinda real to me. Like I felt like I was controlling a real person in a real world. No game has made me feel that way until I played Deus Ex
A very close buddy of mine turned me on to Deus Ex series, and especially the musical score, which he loved and listened to all the time. Sadly, he took his life last year, and this music is now even more haunting and bittersweet for me to listen to.
I'm so sorry to hear that bro. Yeah, this music is moving in a melancholy way too. It definitely sets the mood to reflect on those we lost. My prayers are with both of you, on either side of the veil.
You've just survived the tower's explosion by escaping via the rooftop. The system self destructed down below, erasing all data. Your components mostly fried and malfunctioning, you clutch to the railing of the balcony. Breathless and bleeding, you use it to pull yourself up. Gazing down at the city you once called home, you see Augs and Naturals at war with one another. Rioting on the streets. Sirens blaring in every direction. The haunting screams echo out for miles. Neither side knowing the secret that binds them. You're the only man, well at least that's what you used to be, you're not really anything anymore. The truth lives and dies with you. You look down upon the sea of neon, smoke and suffering. Your light slowly fading. You close your eyes...

I know I'm late to the party, but this idea sounds absolutelly amazing! I adore McCanns' works even besides Deus Ex and his style is something that just really makes me appreciate synths more and more every time. Their collab could make an amazing mixture of Old-Fashioned Robocop Deus Ex and futuristic ambient trance with some amazing tension.
Michael McCann always does wicked moody atmospheres, I bloody love it. And 12:06 reminds me of Fear Effect, an under rated sci fi gem of a game with a great soundtrack too.

When my grandfather passed, I inherited all of his shooter games, loads of PS2, Xbox 360 and a few Xbox one games. I've been playing the PS2 so much recently, and I love it. I've only just started playing Deus Ex for the first time, and it's unbelievably amazing. But the soundtrack is understandably lacking, since it's only on a disc, so I'm listening to this while playing it.
Still holding out hope in 2023. One more game could tie directly into the OG game and then hopefully remaster/Remake the original for new audiences to enjoy.
This reminds me of my dream I had, I remember perfectly, I was 24 in the dream, sci-fi life style in a apartment and then goes boom, an emp shocks me to wake up, always wanted a sci-fi future
EPIC is just a poor world. You got a like and a sub from me, mate. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the links of those pictures too ;). Not much youtubers put pictures links in the description.
This is pretty late, but Max Payne 3 - Pain as well as Darksiders 2 OST - Crystal Spire are two tracks I enjoy that are kind of like this one. Sorry I don't have any specific genre recommendations, it's tough searching for ambient themes but those are two I remember that were sort of similar :/
They've been working in the shadows for years. Manipulating vote ratios. Controlling information. Innocents have lost their reputation as they play their game.
Cool in-game music (I'm playing DE:MD now) and found it good as background ambient music for my work tasks too. I have feeling that soundtrack part from 31:50 did the same composer who created soundtrack for Mass Effect :)
You forgot to credit Sonic Mayhem and Ed Harrison. They did some of the tracks for mankind divided. And check out their other works as well. Ed Harrison's neotokyo ost certainly has the sci-fi cyberpunk feel like that of Deus ex.
i dont care what people think of the game, I loved it and I love this franchise! I really hope they make a sequal soon, its such a shame they're going on a hiatus with it.
My heart hurts by one of the best games ever made being such a commercial disappointment and therefore shelved... I guess that the story content in this one was too adult for many and events at the end of the game take less absolute proportions as in past Deus Ex games. Although it may disappoint many it does emulates real life. I liked seeing the Deus Ex story and events being more grounded. I hope they don't dumb down the Deus Ex formula in the future for the more casual gamers... At least we still have this pearl and it's astounding Soundtrack. Great post!

The TimeSplitters series is also one of the best shooters out there, hands down.
Fucking beautiful! Great work, man! All the best in one place.
the trailer music is simply superb: a potent mixture of matrix, blade runner and elements of massive attack.
Anyone felt being brought back to the days of great sci fi films like the Matrix, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Minority Report?
TF 29 theme instantly gave me that special Deus ex Unatco vibe.
Goosebumps
Still holding out hope in 2023. One more game could tie directly into the OG game and then hopefully remaster/Remake the original for new audiences to enjoy.
This reminds me of my dream I had, I remember perfectly, I was 24 in the dream, sci-fi life style in a apartment and then goes boom, an emp shocks me to wake up, always wanted a sci-fi future
No
Very rarely buy a CD these days, but I've just bought this ost on CD. Fucking beautiful!
Turtle Power your username is beautiful too :)
i will have this in my collection...this is amazing
How was not this series continued? I only played Human Revolution and Mankind divided but they were both amazing games with amazing atmosphere
i love that in the songs there is that little original deus ex vibe (I love the original deus ex)
I ve never played DE but damn, this soundtrack is amazing.
Would highly recommend both Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. They’re both masterpieces in story telling and world building.
Play it bro, DE : Human Revolution
@@ezpzgz does it highly require 1st Deus Ex completed?
Mankind divided... How appropriate a title
EPIC is just a poor world. You got a like and a sub from me, mate. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the links of those pictures too ;). Not much youtubers put pictures links in the description.
This is amazing to play in the background while playing Faeria (or any card game actually).
still listening and will keep listening. its evergreen.
Makes entering these expense reports feel like I'm uncovering a global conspiracy.
Deus Ex, Blade Runner, Ghost in The Shell, Akira, Matrix are my favorite si-fi games and movies
Superb Job mate, what a great mix!
I never do Allison Stanek path as VersaLife is far more important narrative-wise, but damn she has an awesome theme.
Can anyone recommend music that sounds similar to 2:15
Not sound like a huge nut, but it speaks to my soul
Guess you need to look for some Church Organ.
This is pretty late, but Max Payne 3 - Pain as well as Darksiders 2 OST - Crystal Spire are two tracks I enjoy that are kind of like this one. Sorry I don't have any specific genre recommendations, it's tough searching for ambient themes but those are two I remember that were sort of similar :/
stranger things soundtrack
I found one psyambient song, almost similar to 2:15 but still amazing, listen to Alone In Canoe by Koan.
carbon based lifeforms maybe
Great concept art. Great OST
Oh wow Ed Harrison? As in Neo Toyko Ed Harrison? Good to see he's come far since making music for that little mod.
the track at 43 minutes gives me major mass effect vibes. quite cool.
Who is broke like me ? I need feel im not alone at all
Your not alone brother/sister!
thank you very much
You're completely alone
Drago Von Nova k and what's matter ? being dick is nothing new
deloreandmc85 WTF ? Brainless creature.
Adam Jensen. The Batman of cyberpunk
For everyone who wants the first track in the video, here it is : ruclips.net/video/x1emb3IQZcQ/видео.html
Would be helpful if you put a tracklist into the description with the links :)
VTS-VGM link doesn't work :/
Thanks for your work ! I really appreciate this and i'm not alone apparently.
Hello! You have a really good channel
Who downvotes this stuff?
They've been working in the shadows for years. Manipulating vote ratios. Controlling information. Innocents have lost their reputation as they play their game.
nice XD
Illuminati does XD or a "natural" one
Masna Prime The deaf
Roblox people that listen to 69
The best RPG to date.
Ever heard of Fallout?
Cool in-game music (I'm playing DE:MD now) and found it good as background ambient music for my work tasks too. I have feeling that soundtrack part from 31:50 did the same composer who created soundtrack for Mass Effect :)
My favourite track :D
This game has a soul T___T I love everything about DE franchise. It will be in my history.
22:45, everyone hit the Dance floor! Augs, normals, don't worry, Adam will make sure another aug incident doesn't happen!
Sleepy1988 Where can I find the full version of Bank combat 2 music???
Deus Ex: Best cyberpunk game ever created, even if cyberpunk 2077 will get close to Deus Ex, it will be miracle!
Спасибо за микс чувак! Отлично сделан!
Нет проблем (:

Ну сведено так себе, но микс хороший. Автор, ты из игры рип делал или из релиза соундтрека ?
My heart hurts by one of the best games ever made being such a commercial disappointment and therefore shelved... I guess that the story content in this one was too adult for many and events at the end of the game take less absolute proportions as in past Deus Ex games. Although it may disappoint many it does emulates real life. I liked seeing the Deus Ex story and events being more grounded. I hope they don't dumb down the Deus Ex formula in the future for the more casual gamers... At least we still have this pearl and it's astounding Soundtrack. Great post!
THE 1993 AND 1994 BLOCKBUSTER VIDEOGAME CHAMPION
Why mccan never do music for second game and why he has not made any music for long time? He was the best
