Hey Ted. From Canada and of similar age. Currently own a Mini 3Pro and decided not to add the Mini 4 Pro to my kit. As a Storm Chaser, I am satisfied with the features of my Mini 3 Pro. That being said, if DJI does add a 1" sensor and 5K, that would be a no-brainer for me. The added performance the 5 Pro would deliver in low light conditions, would be the cherry on top of the sundae. Thank you for doing these videos. They have helped me tremendously over the past year as I deal with burnout, a few health issues and just too much on my plate. Still figuring out where I belong so to speak. Cheers!
Hey Ted. Friendly neighbor from Jersey here. I like your videos. For some reason when I watch them makes me feel I'm just on the open road stopping at a local dinner getting pancakes before I go to my next sight seen. lol They are very relaxing and informative without fluff. Keep the good work. They inspire me take some trips in Jersey areas for pictures. Sadly, a while ago I sold my Mini 3 because at the time I thought that it was not easy to find a quite spot to fly without someone giving you grief. For some reason drone haters think we actually are into people's business or spying, when (at least me) all I want is to have fun to see and explore like birds do for however long the battery last. So, with that said I will be looking to the Mini 5 pro.😉

I'm in a similar situation with my Mini 3 Pro. It's still serving me well, but it's definitely starting to show its age. I almost upgraded to the Mini 4 Pro but decided to hold off for now as well. Can't wait. :)
Iv had my mini 3 pro for 12 months now and it does everything I need I don't really use any of those fancy settings and quick shots it's the perfect drone if you don't want to be noticed and I also have a air 3 that drone is insane 3x tele lens is amazing good and I use it often on my construction site videos and air 3 handles the wind like a champ so I'm not interested in up grading and yes just put in auto and enjoy I find the HLG on air 3 perfect maybe a couple of adjustments and your good to go because the quicker I edit my videos the quicker I get paid cheers col from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I agree with everything you say. When you first asked the question, I though, “What could be better than the Mini 4?” Where does it end? But what you say makes sense.
After I crashed my Mini 2 last year, I decided to by the Mini 3 pro to replace it. A week after I purchased the Mini 3 pro, I first heard of the Mini 4 pro coming out. I was so bummed out when I heard that & almost sold the Mini 3 pro for a loss, just to get the 4. I am glad I decided to keep the 3. If the Mini 5 comes out with some of the specs you have mentioned, I may consider purchasing one. An Air 3 or the next one in the Air series may also have my interest peaked. So many choices, so little time! Thank you for all the great drone content, and I am always looking forward to the next video!

@@MrArjay123 I am not waiting for anything. I merely said I might have to buy the 5 when it comes out. My Mini 3 pro is serving me just fine for now, but I guess if I want to upgrade or add another drone to my collection, that's what I will do if I so choose.

Hi Ted! Sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with the mini 3Pro. Hope you get it sorted soon. If DJI can’t pack a 1 inch sensor into its next mini, you might consider grabbing an Air 2S refurbed unit. It has a relatively small form factor and I personally think that the photos from the Air2S in raw form are better than those from the Air 3! Flight times might not be as good as more recent offerings but the camera is what makes the drone. Keep the faith! Better days ahead Ted.
Hello Ted. Today I got an email from dji pushing a mini 4k for around $299. This enlightens me that they can do a 4k under 249 grams. I watched a couple of you tubes with the unboxing etc. Many years back, my first dji drone was a Phantom 3 Pro. I replaced it with a dji mine 3 pro, and really like what it is able to do. I kept my fingers crossed with hope thinking dji would firmware upgrade with video way points. It saddened me that they pulled the rug out from under me and put that feature in the mini 4 pro. Money is tight at the age of 71, but instead of buying the present mini 4 pro...I'm gonna wait it out to see what they roll out. One feature I would like to see in their controller is a built in mic. It's a pain to hook up my Rode wireless Go mic system, but it works.
Looks like I'll wait for the 5 pro (currently owning 3 pro). Your comment about cropping just started the thinking process that it might be good to do that a bit more often in my videos too :)

Still happy with and learning new things about my mini 3 pro, suppressing the pent up demand I feel, skipping the 4 and waiting for the 5. Like you, travel is a high priority for me so that portability is a high priority . . .
I would like to see 1 inch sensor and the Lidar sensor rumored on the air 3s in the mini 5 pro. I like how the batteries are compatible in the mini line, and I hope they keep that up.

I have the 4 pro. That 1 inch sensor would be a game changer. If the mini 5 was identical to the mini 4 only with updated augmented reality and 1 in sensor it would amazing. The only thing that’s holding it back from bigger badder everything is the 249 gram limit and this tech gets lighter every year!

I have loved the versatility of the mini 3 but decided not to get the 4 as there was not enough improvement in the camera to warrant spending over a grand on it plus my RC pro would not work with it.Another disappointment was my mini 3 filters do not fit the 4 either which was an unnecessary change.
I've watched the second of your videos in a row...you're great! Superb attitude, not too weirdly hyped, but you have such a childlike enthusiasm...and I mean that in the BEST way! You're a very intelligent dude who is so into it. You're not trying to be cool and consequently, you are. I went from the Magic 2 Pro to the Mini 4 Pro. The little guy kicks the crap outta the bigger guy hands down!!! For me the best part of owning this tiny miracle is how quickly I unpack it and get it up in the air while still following all safety protocols first. I used to sometimes pass up opportunities to fly because I found the longer, more tedious setup of the M2P with the 8"+ monitor, the clumsy folding controller and less-than-stellar video signal transfer (even with the 4Hawks booster antenna) a bit annoying. Still, I was able to get some excellent videos produced with that wonderful setup. However...when I now see a shot while I'm driving I stop, get out my trusty little M4P and I'm off! I just wish the screen was at least 1000 nits, but I've managed quite well here in the desert with the included 700 nits. I've flown well beyond 2 miles away and have NEVER had any image transmissions issues. Also, the M4P's ability to fly in very high winds without the BRING 'ER DOWN! message appearing on my screen is surprising. The images from this little drone are truly amazing to me, at least. If theM5P is that much of an improvement, I'll get it and keep this as a backup, which as a professional videographer is a must. I've been playing with fire by not having a backup the last 9 months. I‘m just like you- news is depressing at best plus you don’t know what is true and factual- but the mini 5 spec Wishlist you talk about is definitely something I would love to see also 🥰🥳🤩 I waited to buy a Drone since the release of the Phantom and ended up buying the Mini 3 Pro and I reckon the wait was worth it 👍 obviously I was not in a hurry 😂 I don’t have the money to buy a Mini 5 Pro but sure would love to have one 😅 Ps: Downsizing is definitely a good thing- the more stuff you have the more problems you usually have - especially when it comes to travelling or moving around a lot. Great video. I’m on my second drone. First was Karma and we all know how that went. But it was a great start. My wife got me a mini pro 3 for Christmas and I’m just totally mind blown with it. I’m flying a lot more and still learning all its features. I make music videos. I’m working on a hummingbird music video and have been for over a year. I’m rebuilding my deck and that’s keeping me from finishing. But in the meantime I’m charged up and waiting/hoping for that killer rainbow shot to complete the music video. I’ve got a few already but sometimes there’s doubles that are super brilliant. Hummingbirds are incredible creatures. I admit to being hypnotized in studying their swiftness and agility in slow motion. But I do need to get the project off my desktop so that I can go back to creating awesome music. Your channel is great and thank you for it because I’ve learned a lot from you.
Hi Ted, I recently replaced my Mini 2 with the Air 3. It was a tough decision, but carrying the extra weight for the 70mm lens is absolutely worth it. I actually use the 70mm lens more than the wide-angle lens. Great video!

I have the 6 DJI Drones, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, AIR 2S, AIR 3, DJI FPV Drone, & the Avata 2. All Fly More Combo's. I don't think im going to buy the Mini 5 Pro, unless its a significant camera upgrade. I love my AIR 3 & ill probably be buying the new AIR 3S upon release
I would buy that in a second if it had the 1" sensor!! Great video Ted... I actually want a wider angle lens for what I do most these days with the drone, so a higher resolution would be welcomed for cropping! Totally agree about the tracking micro adjustment's makes it unusable for pro work. I find the point of interest way point method works much better, although more set-up time... All the best, Jay

@TedNemeth Yes I love the Dharma, always had an interest in spiritually and Buddhism certainly ticks a lot of boxes for me. I don't really have anything specific I would like to see. I have ordered the motorcycle mount for the controller so looking forward to coming up with some creative ideas for that. Previously I had documented some trips but I never seemed to find the time to do anything really creative. I have been interested in photography for quite a while but since I got a drone about 8 months ago I have become a bit obsessed lol I now have a mini 4 pro and recently bought an air 3. Hi Ted; your future look at the next possible DJI Mini drone etc is where I’m looking tooo…. For me, more resolution in a drone is what we are all looking for. Not really sure I’d find the £ to jump over to it. The 4 Pro takes good enough video for when I ‘actually’ manage to get out and about! Also the photo’s the 4 Pro provides for me up to A2 quality print (I use the EPSON P900 and quality paper). Yep ~ the world as I see it is becoming quite dark ~ so my walking and ground/arial photography give me focus on a better world. Keep your positive vibe.
It's gonna be just a spec boost. They've pretty much plateaud here. Best they could do is maybe give it the 1" sensor they're putting on the Air 3s. But there's a problem with that. What are you gonna wanna sacrifice to get that camera? Probably gonna use more battery power, and now you have to shave more weight off to stay under 250. Battery reduction? Or lose other features and keep the battery?
Thanks for the great videos, Ted. I love your positive vibe! I think for AI, which would be great, the drone would need to be connected to the internet. I'm not sure if that, 5k, and a bigger sensor would be possible without taking a hit on flight time. But, as you mentioned, you never know what DJI will come up with!

There was a big jump from the mini three pro to the mini four Pro. I have both of those to start with the obstacle avoidance in the four is great. The camera is a lot better and another feature that I really like is I can go out of HDM into my 15 inch rechargeable monitor. I love this feature to see a large monitor while flying.
hey Mike. You say the camera is a lot better in the mini 4 versus the Mini 3. I did an ACTUAL side-by-side comparison of the footage in different light settings. My testing showed they were exactly the same in day light and in low light. The Mini 4 was a little better at night. But in low light they are exactly the same. I stopped reading marketing specs and only believe what my actual testing shows. You say you plug a large screen into the controller of your Mini 4. I LOVE THAT. I used to fly my Mini 2 with a 12” Ipad. Wow I miss that. A firmware update in the RC1 controller deleted that ability.

1.) One and a half hour flight time. 2.) Ability to lift 1.5 lbs. 3.) quieter 4.). Exact landing on RTH. 5.). Additional commands/functions to add outboard things like lights, sirens, and lift motors.
A 1" sensor will never be in a drone weighing up to 250 grams) Even AIR 3 was not made with such a sensor. It's simple - the sensor and optics will be very heavy for such a drone, and you will also have to increase the power of the motors and battery - this will add even more weight. So no... The number of pixels can be increased. Taking everything into account, it is unlikely that we will get a mini 5 this year)
Try cleaning the props (or swap out for new ones). Mine would do the same thing and I smoothed the props from some tiny rough stuff and it stopped the ripples.
One correction to your guess on specs, Mini5Pro will have 4K 120fps (and 240fps at lower resolution). As far as a darker World, I totally agree. I was a pre-teen in the Sixties, and every decade seems to lose something, except maybe the 80’s - love it and the music! Finally, great video, as always. I like how you turned the darkness into light👍
Great video! I have an inspection company, I started with the mini 2, air 2S for real estate photos, Autel 640T rugged bundle v2 thermal for inspections. I would love to get the mini 4 or 5….i do get worried with the non obstacle avoidance on the mini2 but glad I learned on it…😀…not sure if I should wait for Air 3S or go with Mini 4 or 5….hate this dji banning BS and yes, it is all political pressure from skydio. These dumb politicians are buying it🙄
Ted, this is another great, thought provoking video, even though it's more on the tech side vs the artistic side. Thanks for everything you do! I started out with an Air 2 and after a crash that left one of its legs broken, bought a Mini 3 Pro as a replacement. Now don't get upset at my next statement, because I love my Mini 3 Pro, but after flying it for about a year, I've decided that I will never get a Mini drone again*. The main reason is that it is still, ultimately, effected by the wind way more than even the Air series, but it really isn't all that much more compact than my Air 2. I think my next drone purchase will be the Air 4, assuming it is close to the schedule you suggest, and (fingers and toes crossed) has the 1" sensor. *Caveat: I like to have my drones be mission-centric. The Mini drone is great if I'm travelling or hiking or generally to keep with me at all times, but if I'm planning out a shoot where I know the location and time, I would prefer the beefier drone that would not let windy weather sidetrack my plan. So someday when it breaks, I will replace the Mini 3 Pro with whatever Mini drone is available at the time.
Good morning Ted, I really like watching your videos on creativity but, I have learned this little tidbit even using my DSLR cameras, I have yet to have a client ask me if the camera produces 24, 48, or 100-pixel photos. My point is this if I am not making serious money and my client can really tell the difference between 48 or 100-pixel photos, I will not allow myself to desire the next big thing. Technology is forever changing, but I do agree with you that if the upgrades are not that significant then I won't be purchasing it. I do still use my Mini 3 Pro and my Air 3 as well as my Nikon D7200 and my D850. I am still not bored with what I can do with that equipment. That's my take. Keep on producing good content for creatives.

Been enjoying the Mini 4 Pro for over a year. My rule of thumb, never make your purchase decisions based on a future product. It may never come. Enjoy the present , you can’t go wrong with that. That being said, when Mini 5 come, I will sell 4 and buy 5. Pretty simple.
Hey Ted I had the same Jitter problem with my mini 3 pro after a crash. The solution was to replace gimbal R axis. There was a verry small crack in it on the bottom where the camera-unit is mounted.
I’m 6’4” tall. Whenever I go to Asian countries…..i get lots of funny looks. SE Asia is my spiritual home. I treasure the people, the palm trees, the way of life. But never been to China.
Nice video! About jitter, see clearly if camera plastic arm is not broken, if it is, glue it with one drop of super glue - I had that problem, maybe yours is different. I own Mini 3 Pro and I think that they will slow iterations because is a niche market and it will be difficult to find new technologies each year. You have great suggestions about future updates, however I want combination of Avata fpv and Mini Pro in one drone.

Ted thanks for your insights. Never say never. Especially when it comes to batteries. I know this from the foldable phones is using something other than Lion batteries and it has 5100mah and the it's -230g. Currently it's the lightest thinest foldable in the market. It's the Honor Majic V3 and to my knowledge, it's the only smartphone using this technology. Hopefully other companies are working on this technology also. Hint, hint DJI, Apple, Samsung and any technology companies out there.
Great insights and projection of the mini 5. We may want to expect more than 5k, say at least 6k like Autel has already done and an upcoming competitor in the selfi/mini market is ZeroZero Robotics which I have just ordered their Hover X1 Pro Max that shoots at 8K! far under 249g with 16min flight time and fully encases rotors that the whole unit will fit in your pocket, oh and full obstacle avoidance.

dont confuse 1 inch sensor with 1 inch "type" sensor -- DJI uses "1 inch type" which is *MUCH* smaller -- like 3x smaller than an actual 1 inch sensor

Iv had my mini 3 pro for 12 months now and it does everything I need I don't really use any of those fancy settings and quick shots it's the perfect drone if you don't want to be noticed and I also have a air 3 that drone is insane 3x tele lens is amazing good and I use it often on my construction site videos and air 3 handles the wind like a champ so I'm not interested in up grading and yes just put in auto and enjoy I find the HLG on air 3 perfect maybe a couple of adjustments and your good to go because the quicker I edit my videos the quicker I get paid cheers col from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

I agree with everything you say. When you first asked the question, I though, “What could be better than the Mini 4?” Where does it end? But what you say makes sense.
After I crashed my Mini 2 last year, I decided to by the Mini 3 pro to replace it.
A week after I purchased the Mini 3 pro, I first heard of the Mini 4 pro coming out.
I was so bummed out when I heard that & almost sold the Mini 3 pro for a loss, just to get the 4.
I am glad I decided to keep the 3. If the Mini 5 comes out with some of the specs you have mentioned, I may consider purchasing one.
An Air 3 or the next one in the Air series may also have my interest peaked.
So many choices, so little time!

Hi Ted! Sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with the mini 3Pro. Hope you get it sorted soon. If DJI can’t pack a 1 inch sensor into its next mini, you might consider grabbing an Air 2S refurbed unit. It has a relatively small form factor and I personally think that the photos from the Air2S in raw form are better than those from the Air 3! Flight times might not be as good as more recent offerings but the camera is what makes the drone.

Hello Ted. Today I got an email from dji pushing a mini 4k for around $299. This enlightens me that they can do a 4k under 249 grams. I watched a couple of you tubes with the unboxing etc. Many years back, my first dji drone was a Phantom 3 Pro. I replaced it with a dji mine 3 pro, and really like what it is able to do. I kept my fingers crossed with hope thinking dji would firmware upgrade with video way points. It saddened me that they pulled the rug out from under me and put that feature in the mini 4 pro. Money is tight at the age of 71, but instead of buying the present mini 4 pro...I'm gonna wait it out to see what they roll out. One feature I would like to see in their controller is a built in mic. It's a pain to hook up my Rode wireless Go mic system, but it works.
The Mini 4K is the old Mini 2, and still a good drone. The Mini SE only has 2.7K
Looks like I'll wait for the 5 pro (currently owning 3 pro). Your comment about cropping just started the thinking process that it might be good to do that a bit more often in my videos too :)

I have the 4 pro. That 1 inch sensor would be a game changer. If the mini 5 was identical to the mini 4 only with updated augmented reality and 1 in sensor it would amazing. The only thing that’s holding it back from bigger badder everything is the 249 gram limit and this tech gets lighter every year!

I have loved the versatility of the mini 3 but decided not to get the 4 as there was not enough improvement in the camera to warrant spending over a grand on it plus my RC pro would not work with it.Another disappointment was my mini 3 filters do not fit the 4 either which was an unnecessary change.
I've watched the second of your videos in a row...you're great! Superb attitude, not too weirdly hyped, but you have such a childlike enthusiasm...and I mean that in the BEST way! You're a very intelligent dude who is so into it. You're not trying to be cool and consequently, you are. I went from the Magic 2 Pro to the Mini 4 Pro. The little guy kicks the crap outta the bigger guy hands down!!! For me the best part of owning this tiny miracle is how quickly I unpack it and get it up in the air while still following all safety protocols first. I used to sometimes pass up opportunities to fly because I found the longer, more tedious setup of the M2P with the 8"+ monitor, the clumsy folding controller and less-than-stellar video signal transfer (even with the 4Hawks booster antenna) a bit annoying. Still, I was able to get some excellent videos produced with that wonderful setup. However...when I now see a shot while I'm driving I stop, get out my trusty little M4P and I'm off! I just wish the screen was at least 1000 nits, but I've managed quite well here in the desert with the included 700 nits. I've flown well beyond 2 miles away and have NEVER had any image transmissions issues. Also, the M4P's ability to fly in very high winds without the BRING 'ER DOWN! message appearing on my screen is surprising. The images from this little drone are truly amazing to me, at least. If theM5P is that much of an improvement, I'll get it and keep this as a backup, which as a professional videographer is a must. I've been playing with fire by not having a backup the last 9 months. Great video. I’m on my second drone. First was Karma and we all know how that went. But it was a great start. My wife got me a mini pro 3 for Christmas and I’m just totally mind blown with it. I’m flying a lot more and still learning all its features. I make music videos. I’m working on a hummingbird music video and have been for over a year. I’m rebuilding my deck and that’s keeping me from finishing. But in the meantime I’m charged up and waiting/hoping for that killer rainbow shot to complete the music video. I’ve got a few already but sometimes there’s doubles that are super brilliant. Hummingbirds are incredible creatures. I admit to being hypnotized in studying their swiftness and agility in slow motion. But I do need to get the project off my desktop so that I can go back to creating awesome music. Your channel is great and thank you for it because I’ve learned a lot from you.
Hi Ted, I recently replaced my Mini 2 with the Air 3. It was a tough decision, but carrying the extra weight for the 70mm lens is absolutely worth it. I actually use the 70mm lens more than the wide-angle lens. Great video!

I have the 6 DJI Drones, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, AIR 2S, AIR 3, DJI FPV Drone, & the Avata 2. All Fly More Combo's. I don't think im going to buy the Mini 5 Pro, unless its a significant camera upgrade. I love my AIR 3 & ill probably be buying the new AIR 3S upon release

I actually want a wider angle lens for what I do most these days with the drone, so a higher resolution would be welcomed for cropping! Totally agree about the tracking micro adjustment's makes it unusable for pro work. I find the point of interest way point method works much better, although more set-up time... All the best, Jay

Hi Ted; your future look at the next possible DJI Mini drone etc is where I’m looking tooo…. For me, more resolution in a drone is what we are all looking for. Not really sure I’d find the £ to jump over to it. The 4 Pro takes good enough video for when I ‘actually’ manage to get out and about! Also the photo’s the 4 Pro provides for me up to A2 quality print (I use the EPSON P900 and quality paper).
Yep ~ the world as I see it is becoming quite dark ~ so my walking and ground/arial photography give me focus on a better world. Keep your positive vibe.

It's gonna be just a spec boost. They've pretty much plateaud here. Best they could do is maybe give it the 1" sensor they're putting on the Air 3s. But there's a problem with that. What are you gonna wanna sacrifice to get that camera? Probably gonna use more battery power, and now you have to shave more weight off to stay under 250. Battery reduction? Or lose other features and keep the battery?

I think for AI, which would be great, the drone would need to be connected to the internet. I'm not sure if that, 5k, and a bigger sensor would be possible without taking a hit on flight time. But, as you mentioned, you never know what DJI will come up with!

There was a big jump from the mini three pro to the mini four Pro. I have both of those to start with the obstacle avoidance in the four is great. The camera is a lot better and another feature that I really like is I can go out of HDM into my 15 inch rechargeable monitor. I love this feature to see a large monitor while flying.
hey Mike. You say the camera is a lot better in the mini 4 versus the Mini 3. I did an ACTUAL side-by-side comparison of the footage in different light settings. My testing showed they were exactly the same in day light and in low light. The Mini 4 was a little better at night. But in low light they are exactly the same. I stopped reading marketing specs and only believe what my actual testing shows.
You say you plug a large screen into the controller of your Mini 4. I LOVE THAT. I used to fly my Mini 2 with a 12” Ipad. Wow I miss that. A firmware update in the RC1 controller deleted that ability.

1.) One and a half hour flight time. 2.) Ability to lift 1.5 lbs. 3.) quieter 4.). Exact landing on RTH. 5.). Additional commands/functions to add outboard things like lights, sirens, and lift motors.
A 1" sensor will never be in a drone weighing up to 250 grams) Even AIR 3 was not made with such a sensor. It's simple - the sensor and optics will be very heavy for such a drone, and you will also have to increase the power of the motors and battery - this will add even more weight. So no... The number of pixels can be increased. Taking everything into account, it is unlikely that we will get a mini 5 this year)

Try cleaning the props (or swap out for new ones). Mine would do the same thing and I smoothed the props from some tiny rough stuff and it stopped the ripples.
One correction to your guess on specs, Mini5Pro will have 4K 120fps (and 240fps at lower resolution).
As far as a darker World, I totally agree. I was a pre-teen in the Sixties, and every decade seems to lose something, except maybe the 80’s - love it and the music!

Great video! I have an inspection company, I started with the mini 2, air 2S for real estate photos, Autel 640T rugged bundle v2 thermal for inspections. I would love to get the mini 4 or 5….i do get worried with the non obstacle avoidance on the mini2 but glad I learned on it…😀…not sure if I should wait for Air 3S or go with Mini 4 or 5….hate this dji banning BS and yes, it is all political pressure from skydio. Ted, this is another great, thought provoking video, even though it's more on the tech side vs the artistic side. Thanks for everything you do! I started out with an Air 2 and after a crash that left one of its legs broken, bought a Mini 3 Pro as a replacement. Now don't get upset at my next statement, because I love my Mini 3 Pro, but after flying it for about a year, I've decided that I will never get a Mini drone again*. The main reason is that it is still, ultimately, effected by the wind way more than even the Air series, but it really isn't all that much more compact than my Air 2. I think my next drone purchase will be the Air 4, assuming it is close to the schedule you suggest, and (fingers and toes crossed) has the 1" sensor. *Caveat: I like to have my drones be mission-centric. The Mini drone is great if I'm travelling or hiking or generally to keep with me at all times, but if I'm planning out a shoot where I know the location and time, I would prefer the beefier drone that would not let windy weather sidetrack my plan. So someday when it breaks, I will replace the Mini 3 Pro with whatever Mini drone is available at the time.
Good morning Ted, I really like watching your videos on creativity but, I have learned this little tidbit even using my DSLR cameras, I have yet to have a client ask me if the camera produces 24, 48, or 100-pixel photos. My point is this if I am not making serious money and my client can really tell the difference between 48 or 100-pixel photos, I will not allow myself to desire the next big thing. Technology is forever changing, but I do agree with you that if the upgrades are not that significant then I won't be purchasing it. I do still use my Mini 3 Pro and my Air 3 as well as my Nikon D7200 and my D850. I am still not bored with what I can do with that equipment. That's my take. Keep on producing good content for creatives.
I like the Mini series for sure. I don't think I would buy another one though. I really enjoy my Mavic 3.

Been enjoying the Mini 4 Pro for over a year. My rule of thumb, never make your purchase decisions based on a future product. It may never come. Enjoy the present , you can’t go wrong with that. That being said, when Mini 5 come, I will sell 4 and buy 5. Pretty simple.

Hey Ted I had the same Jitter problem with my mini 3 pro after a crash. The solution was to replace gimbal R axis. There was a verry small crack in it on the bottom where the camera-unit is mounted.

Nice video! About jitter, see clearly if camera plastic arm is not broken, if it is, glue it with one drop of super glue - I had that problem, maybe yours is different. I own Mini 3 Pro and I think that they will slow iterations because is a niche market and it will be difficult to find new technologies each year. You have great suggestions about future updates, however I want combination of Avata fpv and Mini Pro in one drone.

Ted thanks for your insights. Never say never. Especially when it comes to batteries. I know this from the foldable phones is using something other than Lion batteries and it has 5100mah and the it's -230g. Currently it's the lightest thinest foldable in the market. It's the Honor Majic V3 and to my knowledge, it's the only smartphone using this technology. Hopefully other companies are working on this technology also. Hint, hint DJI, Apple, Samsung and any technology companies out there.

Great insights and projection of the mini 5. We may want to expect more than 5k, say at least 6k like Autel has already done and an upcoming competitor in the selfi/mini market is ZeroZero Robotics which I have just ordered their Hover X1 Pro Max that shoots at 8K! far under 249g with 16min flight time and fully encases rotors that the whole unit will fit in your pocket, oh and full obstacle avoidance.
