      Ah wat leuk om te horen! Het is een hele mooie bak, maar wel gelijk heel groot! Je zou ook voor een 350 G2 of een 425 G2 kunnen gaan, da's net wat makkelijker, zeker als je net begint!

    Thanks for sharing. I went with the SCA150 Rimless instead and had Synergy custom make me my CL-44 sump with a matching 10 gallon ATO reservoir. As far as my Lights I went with 2 Orphek Atlantik Compact V4 (Gen 2) LED fixtures which will be plenty of spread for my 60x24x24 and will be adding two of Orphek OR3 Leds as well . Quick question - What kind of Live rock did you use, real Live rock or Marco E rock? Also, what tank are you upgrading to now?

    • @DutchReefer
      @DutchReefer  3 года назад

      Ah very cool! That sounds like an amazing setup :)... I used mainly Real Reef Rock and some Live rock as well from previous tanks. I have upgraded to a 320g tank, just check out the last couple of videos :) and also a RSR nano tank!

    Hey Reefer, is your U.V. steriliser ok running horizontal? I've always been told to mount them vertically( with the flow from the bottom ). To stop a air pocket forming around the bulb and allowing it to over heat. Unlikely to happen if you've put lots of flow through it when you set it up and blow most the air out first. Probably fine but thought I'd let you know. Good Luck with the move!

    • @DutchReefer
      @DutchReefer  5 лет назад

      Hi Ben, you're totally right, I found this out two years ago when I ran it up-side-down. This works better, but I agree that flow from the bottom is the best solution.

    Those pipes and pumps and sump really could use some cleaning or rather scrubbing and acidic baths like strong vinegar, for hours. Natural is NOT having a lot of rubish.. Natural look is for nature, not for aquarium, it simply is not clean enough as in nature for that amount of rubbish it has milions of gallons of water and algae forrests! There is ofc rubish in the nature, but not in that proportions.. Your skimmer is a growing chamber for coraline because you just let the light flow down ito the entire sump.. if you clean it properly, there will not be need for nopox and rowaphos in adition to a working refugium. All that shit is creating nutrition in overloads so the refugium wil not be enoug no matter how big.. And there is plase for filtersocks for a reason, they are to be used for media if you add a roller mat filter. red sea even sells alternative sumps made for rollermats in stead, but you need to take out the worst rubish thru filter before it turns into ammonia if you want to keep it clean. Basics man, basics!
