I feel like Rob is the only one who understands that this could have been avoided had they just talked to Vanya. You guys need to understand that Vanya will always be the bomb because of the trauma her family has scarred her with. The only way to fix it is to rekindle her relationship with her family but no one understood that except Allison. All she wanted was to just play the violin and feel special for ONCE in her life and she couldn’t even do that because of her brothers. So yeah, 100% Luther’s fault here.

@@user-rz3cr1zi4y Luther gets better in season 3, and Allison was great the first 2 seasons but then all the pain just made her snap which writing and watching wise was awesome but having empathy for the characters made her change sad, and her forcing Luther to kiss her was really f'd up
@@fireelite0z622allison was really never good. she raped her ex husband patrick. would continuously rumor him and her daughter and was whining when she lost custody because of the abuse she put them through. she was never a good person but she started redeeming herself in season 2 but went downhill season 3. she blamed everything on viktor when it wasnt his fault. even though viktor ended the world if were being technical allison ended it and not only that she lost claire even before the world ended so it didnt matter anyway
when vanya was playing the violin and allison smiled at her and she smiled back that always makes me tear up. she literally just wanted her family's acceptance even at that point
Guys, feel super blessed you don't get left off on that cliffhanger and can start S2 right away lol. That was such a long wait for some of us back in the day

How can someone justify child abuse? Kids are vulnerable, impressionable, they are like clay, adult influences in their lives has a huge role in shaping them into whatever they'll be in adulthood. Reginald was a bad father, that shouldn't even be argued.

Vanya was just trying to play a concert and she smiled when she saw Allison. I'm fully convinced if Luther let Vanya out when Allison told him to, none of this would happen. I'm also pretty positive if they let Allison talk to Vanya and didn't attack her at the concert it could've been avoided. I'm glad we have Rob cause he's the only one with good takes. I'm sorry but to think that it isn't Luther's fault and to scream "schoot" to Allison and then say that Reginald was good... You can't be serious 💀
Vanya's abilities are reliant on her being in contact with sound, causing her to resonate with sound and energy. In the Umbrella Academy she can convert her powers into a bright white energy source capable of applying destructive amounts of force and even more.

edit,, I'm fully aware of what her upbringing and her father's neglect did to her mental state, also that he ironically suppressed her powers because he THOUGHT she was unstable, but suppression only made her a ticking time bomb

Along with the mental and emotional abuse she endured those pills they had her taking also stunted her emotionally which is a key factor to why she’s so unstable in the first place.

Great reactions for the whole season. Please do season 2 and the upcoming season 3. What most people miss about Vanya blowing up the Moon. Is that she did not do it with just her powers. She was absorbing the guys powers through those tentacles. It was a joint effort. So literally everything they think they were doing to prevent the apocalypse was bringing it closer. Thanks again for your efforts.
This was a great season finale but iv gotta say I really liked this first season but imo I feel like they really ramped it up with season 2 I loved that season can’t wait for you guys to start it

In all honesty, this isn't just Luther's fuck up it's all her brothers. Five is the driving force in killing his own sister and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Allison is the ONLY that sees beyond her power to her pain and is willing to love her thru it.

Viktor is still coping with withdrawal from the meds his dad put him on since Age 4 no wonder he was so highly volatile. I think Vik really wasn’t going the apocalypse way till Luther intervened the concert, it was another “Take away my moment” moment.
Also what’s fascinating is that in the previous episode the only person Viktor knew was on his side was Allison since he couldn’t hear Diego and Klaus standup for him, only saw hand movements and aggressive faces (which were in reality directed at Luther)
He could see Allison stand up for him through her written words knowing she was not mad at him.
The saddest thing about Pogo’s death is that The way Viktor hugged him in the 1st ep it’s clear he trusted him the most and was the closest to him, however right before he trusted Leonard and he manipulated him, then he trusted Luther and He betrayed him too, Realising that Pogo played the same game for almost 25 years of his life made his anger towards him much worse
Five was also on her side cause he wasn't there . And in the comics five was the one she was closest with when they were children.
@@TheGodfather-bm3ow Actually in the Netflix series it’s hinted him and five were the closest (there was no bad memory of him when he blew up the house, him shaking his head while Five argued with their dad, making those sandwiches and Him coming to Vik first) BUT in the Comics he shot Vanya (I’m saying Vanya since I consider the comics different from the Show and the Character has not transitioned there) in the head and said He never liked her. Diego and Her were the closest in the comics before she left and before her book.
@@TheGodfather-bm3ow but yeah I agree Five in the show did love his brother but in the end, between the Apocalypse and him, he did say they had to stop Viktor (but not kill so there’s that too since he wouldn’t have hesitated if it was someone else) . He was very sad about it too.
Honestly, fuck pogo. I couldn't understand why people felt bad when pogo got killed when he literally never did anything for these kids except maybe homeschool them. He let Hargreeves abuse them all those years and still kept doing his bidding even after. Grace is the only one that loved those kids and the only reason she didn't get them the fuck out of their is programming.

It wasn't the same. She exploded the moon because of Allison. The first time around Allison wasn't there to shoot beside her, so she likely just destroyed the earth itself.

there were some stupid decisions in thew last 2 episodes, especially from Luther, but the root cause is Reginald, he maybe meant good but had no idea how to take care of this children...

We don't know how the apocalypse happened in that alternate timeline. Obviously Vanya, but not in the same way.

@nostrum6410 how. Allison distracted her this time around but she wasn't alive during the first apocalypse, she died during the attack on the academy, so vanya didn't destroy the moon

Thank god at least some reactors have common sense 🤦♂️ I’m tired of just watching reactions and everyone blaming Viktor when it wasn’t his fault at all. People need to understand that the amount of trauma Viktor went through was well SCARRING. And he was on emotion suppressers his whole life and when Leonard took him off of them all of the things that were happening at that time was overwhelming him and the fact that he now didn’t know how to control his emotions because he barely had any. If they had just talked to him when he needed them most they wouldn’t have been in that situation. But either way there was no preventing the apocalypse. Either way if Allison had just shot him or did what he did in the end if season one the world was gonna end anyway because even if he died the energy that viktor was getting and storing had to be let out somewhere so he would’ve just exploded like what originally happened in the original apocalypse when five jumped forward into the future and got stuck and saw everyone dead in the ruble of the academy. Also five cannot just do a spatial jump and teleport to Viktor because of the amount of energy she was emitting would’ve forced him back anyway. And Viktors powers are basically what sound waves should be explained as. He basically listens to a sound and amplifies it which i give props to her because the way he uses his powers is a smart and tricky way.

I have hope that he will get better in season 3. He is a little less anoying in season 2 but i think he need to be a loooooooot better
fun fact - we don't actually know in which time period the show is set because if you notice closely, none of them use smartphones/tech in their lives so for all we know the show could be set in the 90s

Except that the Umbrella Academy characters were born October 1st, 1989 and are 29 years old going on 30, setting the show in the year 2019.

The White Violin storyline is the Dark Phoenix saga from X-Men done right. Which the movies never got right.
No matter what this was going to happen one way or another. Because of all the trauma she had endured to this point.
Allison had the right idea. Lurther was in the wrong. He is pretty much doing what his father would do which is what caused Vanya to become the White Violin.
Luther was literally keeping the others from talking to her in the previous episode.
I like to think that Elliot Page drew inspiration from that movie, as he (back when Elliot still went by Ellen) played Shadowcat
