This must be one of the most valuable flight lessons I have ever taken. Gyroscopics are not taught at all during your PPL and not much emphasis is placed on spinning. If you were to inadvertently get into a spin, are you equipped to get out of it?
We went up in the Extra 200 aerobatic aircraft to explore the fully developed and flat spins, both erect and inverted. Whilst inverted sounds a whole lot worse, it is actually easier to recover from.
This aerobatic journey that I am going on has given me a 3 dimensional mindset on flying. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in taking their aviation career further. That and a taildragger rating of course...
