- A start to a series that hopefully gets you out to the beautiful destinations that both South Africa and the rest of Africa have to offer. Throughout the series we will explore incredible scenery, visit popular airstrips and locations accessible bush aircraft.
I was not able to rely on such resources when trying to find all the places to go flying. Stop only flying around the patch or going for a breakfast, get out and explore the beauty that South Africa and the rest of Africa has to offer!
Follow me on Instagram for more up to date and in detail references of all the trip I will be doing in the near future.

No idea why I said Atlantic Ocean… it is the Indian!! I grew up here and should have picked up this mistake 🤦🏻♂️
RUclips presenting isn’t getting any easier 😂
Awesome. Well done
lol, had a hard time listening to first 2 minutes after that comment.
Glad you are the pilot not the navigator
Ha ha. I was about to say! Thanks for showing us!
Nice!!! Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!!
Glad you picked up your error. Difficult navigating if you thought that was the Atlantic!
You are truly living my dream!! Could you give some specs on your plane?
Fantastic Thomas…. Beautiful flying scenery and looking forward to more content. I was just a little worried you’d meet a seagull at low level over the water😬 happy flying 😎
Hi from Thailand! Can't wait for the series...
Fantastic series unfolding. ❤
Still need to make a turn past you guys in Bots!
@@ThomasMarrow will be looking forward to that. Bring Stefan @kfaaircraftandadventures with.
Please come and visit the Northern Cape.
Excellent offering, looking forward to following the series. Your camera set up is great. I fly with 1x GoPro and it's not as nice as yours(maybe my GoPro is old). Nice to see the DSLR included.
Maybe you can include something about your aircraft, something like an introduction to her, I see she's got a nice landing gear, but i don't know anything about specialized Alaskan Gear.
Great idea for a series Can’t wait! Didn’t realise Knysna was on the Atlantic coast!
It isn't and how I didn't notice that mistake is quite alarming as I grew up here and know that it is the Indian ocean!!
@ThomasMarrow :-) !! Was thinking gosh my SA geographical knowledge is bad! Such a great idea for the series. Do please consider Zambia in your future thoughts - my location - we have some amazing bush locations, just a CAA stuck in the dark ages when it comes to experimental aircraft. Am determined to change that over the next few years! Video from you visiting one or 2 locations might be the tonic we need!
Add Waterfall Bluff and Cathedral Rock on the Wild Coast to your list...looking forward to seeing that 😁😁
Wow Beautiful. Looking forward to more of these videos !
Thank you! Will keep ‘em coming
Which airfield were you at when spraying down your plane? Nice vid. Tx
yesssss do it, i love this..!!!
I live in knysna and I'm obsessed with bush planes, I had no idea there was a bush plane community in this area. Maybe you should do a video talking about the cost of owning a bush plane in South Africa
Nice video Thomas, would you mind maybe sharing the airports locations that you go to /land at ?
Will be more in depth in the following videos!
i like the idea
Knysna resident here - awesome video :) do you offer paid trips?
Can you give us the details of what you are flying? Nice bush plane, haven't seen many like this is Cape Town
Made in Johannesburg at Petit airfield. Rotax 915 powered KFA Safari
I live near the Highway International Airport and the noise is becoming unacceptable. Can't you use mufflers like we al do with our cars, bikes, lawnmowers, et, et, et??
To the pilots, can you land a bush plane on the beach like the one Thomas was flying along?
INDIAN OCEAN BRO!
Many shipwrecks?
Agree, you need a camera operator. But , well done, make more
Come and let me show you the natal midlands
I’m coming!
@thomas, let me know when you want to come to the Overberg. @swellendam, @ black oyster catcher @andrews airfiled etc etc etc
Would love to! Send me a message on instagram/facebook and we can get something penciled in
Great presentation! BTW - It’s the Indian Ocean, not the Atlantic…
Isn't Knysna on the Indian ocean since it's east of Cape Agulhas?
Correct, it is the Indian ocean
Not sure how I made this mistake, I grew up here and know that it is the Indian ocean!! This RUclips thing never gets easy haha
In future episodes will yoù be providing a bit more information about the airfields too?
Please! I second that. Doing my ppl here.
Yes! Plan is to add more in depth info in the following videos
The lake just outside Sedgefield is Groenvlei. We can see it from our home! Pretty sure you have, but having a run from Sedgefield to Wilderness would be amazing 😊
What do you do for a living?
nice flying with you as always
We need to do more flying soon!
Great video. Are you using your iPad for navigation?
You need a camera operator...wing camera bit lame, looking forward to more though...
