    Oh, and the reason Spec Ops: The Line saw a bump in price was due to a report that it was being delisted a couple of months ago. That tends to happen. I'd expect it to happen to any backwards compatible games that are currently only available on the 360 marketplace that are still playable on the Series X, as the 360 marketplace is being shut down next month.

    Been when Xbox since Day One. And the Series X is by far the best in my opinion. It's a magnificent culmination of the previous gens. Any Xbox 360 enthusiast should agree.

    It's worth noting that some of these games are signficantly cheaper to buy digitally (Blue Dragon is frequently on sale for a couple of bucks for example).

    Oblivion on series X was so much better than the original on 360 I had to play through it again for 200 hours!

    The list of backwards compatibilityon xbox X is not very long, specially for the original xbox. I bought an xbox x with hopes of condensing my consoles from og xbox, xbox 360 and xbox series S.. and was disappointed that lots of games i have, will not play on xbox x… ??!?. So it wasn’t worth buying the Xbox X..
    plus, the disc version of Original Xbox and xbox 360 games will play without internet connection. The xbox X digits versions, might require internet connection just to play cause of publisher practices now days. (Example, i bought a game on the 360 market, and now its been removed from 360 market and i have to rebuy it to play it on xbox x… Shady practice!)
    So keep your old consoles, look for used copies to buy… as time goes on, they will still play on a 360 or OG xbox… where digital could be gone and not recoverable.. forcing you to buy again.. so be warned!.

    Yeah Spec Ops is crazy - I remember copies of that being dirt cheap, like they couldn't give it away (despite being a very decent game apparently) but then it got removed from the online stores and this is the result... A similar thing has happened to Wolfenstein 2009, though not as extreme.
    I actually picked up Alice today and got the free original game off the store mentioned in the vid. Love that sort weird/horror type genre so expecting to get into it this weekend.

      It's crazy how spec ops was cheap and now is desirable. Goes to show how crazy game collecting can be.

    I would recommend:
    Metal gear revengence
    Lost odyssey
    Final Fantasy 13, 13-2 and lighting returns.
    Fear 1, 2 and 3
    Bully
    Deadly premonition
    A special mention to Otogi and Otogi 2, both Fromsoft games exclusive on the og Xbox.

    Still wish Ninja Blade and even the underrated Gun and more underrated Simpsons Game were backwards compatible with my Series X. Real missed opportunity not bringing them to the list.

    Bro, Blue dragon is expensive now. Its going for about $50+ complete.
    You can get lucky and find a copy cheap, but the second hand market is starting to go for 360 games.

    • @JoyStickJargon
      @JoyStickJargon  Месяц назад +2

      Yeah I saw that there's copies on ebay that go for around that range. I go by pricechart for what game values for and it's right now at 27. Anyone can set what price they want on ebay, it doesn't necessarily mean it's worth 50 bucks though. However, we know it won't get any cheaper!

    • @NuclearAbyss
      @NuclearAbyss Месяц назад +1

      @@JoyStickJargon The biggest problem is that most copies aren't sold complete. The game is in 3 discs, and most people are selling the game with missing discs.
      Not to mention the "Sealed" and "wata graded" stuff.

      you are absolutely right about Blue Dragon skyrocketing recently in value for CIB. 3 weeks ago you could get it for 25-30 dollars but now I’m seeing the trend of 50-80 pricing. This game is only going to be more expensive for CIB due to it being exclusive to the 360, artwork and characters done by the late Akira Toriyama and the fact that it is 3 discs. The game only sold 200,000 copies in the US and mostly sold in Japan putting lifetime sales at about 500K. This will put this game in rare territory as not many physical copies out in the wild for ESRB. Microsoft owns the IP for Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey with Mist Walker being the studio that made it. I don’t see Microsoft reviving either IP anytime soon and don’t now if it will come to gamepass either probably due to some licensing issues but if you want to play Blue Dragon anytime soon, will have to be physical.
      I predict this game will hit the 100 mark sooner than later. If see it for under 50.00 I would grab it, if you get lucky like me and get a mint CIB from GS for 19.99, definitely get it lol

    • @JoyStickJargon
      @JoyStickJargon  28 дней назад +1

      @Patrick-tw7nr oh for sure. It's now like 50 plus at this point. With the store closing, low sales, and of course Akira being gone, this game for sure might hit triple digits. I was fortunate to find this game in goodwill for 2 bucks in 2020 with all 3 disc's. It's also not a bad game. I'm with you, get it while you can lol

    • @NuclearAbyss

      @@Patrick-tw7nr I managed to get a CIB copy for $20. Some games I would recommend getting before its too late
      Nier
      Afro Samurai
      Alice Madness returns
      Tenchu Z
      Divinity 2 the dragon knight saga (made by larian and published by atlus. cant even find a copy as of right now, I got lucky and managed to get a sealed copy for $50 at my local game store)
      Lollipop chainsaw (we are getting a remastered at some point, unless something happens)
      The Cursed Crusader (Its an Atlus game, but last time I checked its been delisted from steam. The only way to play in the future is a physical or emulator)

    Good list! Nice to see Asura and Spec Ops. Honestly, Asura's Wrath was just too early. The idea of releasing a game episodically was too strange to consumers.

    Playing Rayman 3D at 60fps in 3D on a dual IPS New 3DS is absolutely insane. For me nothing could ever beat the Dreamcast as having the best version of Rayman 2 but with these improvements, Rayman 3D is officially king.
