Pull the springs and let the truck sit on the bump stops. Bouncing it in the shop with the steering pointed dead straight ain't showing you real world conditions. If it makes hard contact with the exhaust it will happen at the least opportune time. (FYI truck will settle to the bump stops under heavy braking on a smooth road and light braking on a bumpy road)

I'm fairly familiar with how they like to act under braking with my personal truck. It's closer than I wanted, but to change it makes it not what I wanted. If I have to, I will, but until its aligned and I get a better idea, I just cant see reworking it. If we have to, we will. I'm never afraid to admit when a plan doesnt work. That's the name of the game!
