A WWII vet, actually my then curate, gave me as a boy his collection, it included amongst many others Betriebszelle flag, a peaked forage cap, and a party armband with the paper numbered label inside, I added a 98 bayonet bought (at the age of 13!) through Exchange & Mart and sent hardly wrapped through Royal Mail, those were the days.
Really nice video boys! I love information videos like this, it is a huge help to newer collectors. I plan on buying a Volkssturm armband soon, a lot of history in those armbands! Cheers! 😊
Nice one and I couldn't agree more. My case of german medals are all of this type...the war merit selection are great gap fillers and are not bad price wise. I will have to try the ultra violet light test on my west wall medal ribbon...I tried it on a printed party armband of unknown provenance and it didn't glow, so maybe real. I will have to get some dog tags though.....all the best chaps 😊😊😊😊😅😅
The Volkssturm... is not as common as people think there is just loads of copies reproduction... If there squareness to the lettering no flick on the R , there copies very few around are original a big dealer con has been for years
