Fastener tips for framing

Quickly going over the type, material, length and amount of fasteners when framing

Good tips.
I'd heard a general rule of 1/3 into the top material, 2/3 into the bottom. That'd be a 4.5" screw-probably decking?-for this case.

Thanks. Yeah, the doubling of thickness is a base rule, but it's never a bad idea to go a bit longer
