I listen to Rock music; classic Rock, hard Rock, metal Rock, heavy metal Rock, alternative Rock, punk Rock, folk Rock and prog Rock. I also listen to Kate Bush.
My sister read the book in spanish, she hasn't learn english; one day I was listening to this song and she said "I like it, what is it?" and I told her and translated the lyrics, she couldn't stop crying, she told me later that it felt as if a circle's been completed, that she could then put a face and a voice to Cathy, it made sense and I started to cry too.
Another Brazilian here! This song was such a hit in Brazil in 1979, and there I was, listening avidly to it, without even understanding a word of English ❤❤ always touched me so much, especially since I've read the novel!
I saw this show one week earlier in Birmingham it was my 24th birthday... Don't remember how I got a ticket or who I went with.... But I remember the concert and crying watching her pick up all the flowers then disappearing back into what I think was a symbiotic womb, I may be wrong.... But I'm sure glad I was there...
Without the face mic this performance would have been so different. To be able to watch the magic of Kate moving her hands and body in a live concert is just amazing.
I always think of Kate as a continuation of the progressive/expressive/interpretational bands of the early 70’s. Those bands never seem to have a female vocalist…this makes her extremely unique and rare…and completely amazing.
Emily Brontë would be so proud. As the creator of this song, Kate owns the performance of it. Cathy comes from the other world only when Kate sings. It is not the voice of a human being, but that of a ghost. A masterpiece. Cathy dreams about the impossible...
We should all be dancing like this! #katebush was the original artist who showed us how to move sensually, with confidence. Telling stories with her hands, body and face!!! 👍

I remember listening to this song in my car in Beirut when it came on the radio. I recognized its beauty from the first two notes … I have listened to it over a thousand times since - what a beauty ❤
She was so fit back then; and her talent is timeless. It's such a beautifully painful song, sung by a painfully beautiful woman, that it's quite hard to take.
Really incredible artist. Kate Bush and the musicians put so much into each performance night after night. Must have been exhausting. To do all of that at such a young age. To quote Kate "W O W "🌟🧡🌟

OMG did she really sing that entire song without any backup? No covering her vocals so she can rest, no someone keeping her in tune so she doesn't have to work so hard?! Incredible!!! Brilliant in so many ways.
Before I looked at the plot of wuthering heights I couldn't understand it... After reading the plot and coming back to it all I can say is it's a masterpiece...I try watching through the eyes of heathcliffe... All that dance is a way to get heathcliffe to join catch in death to join together on the other side... The final save she does definitely makes me think it's a calling to join her...
