    @dwarfish The BBC program inspired the song, but she stated many times she read through the Bronte novel completely before a single verse was written.

    Actually, Wuthering Heights was written by Bronte, and has been around since before Any of us was born, and This song was written way before that Dalton MFtv mess was ever aired, but Kates voice is like a bird, and I just liked the song, dont be so critical, music is to be enjoyed, not picked apart :))) M

    In an interview, Kate said she based the song on something she saw on BBC. Its sad, I know.
