- This video is for the Bed Camera Upgrade Installation for all F-Series Trucks. F150, F250, F350, F450, F550. This simple part change make a world of a difference.
This is a great company to do business with! They stand by their product and the camera works much better than the factory one.
Great improvement over OEM visibility , but will be great, if you can add the center line to it .
Awesome. Looks like you guys picked the worst day with all the wind for filming. 😂 but I’m sure you were excited to get the video out. 👍
Great video. Thanks. May need to look into getting this upgrade.
Hurricane in the background blowing in the mic: "Hello and welcome to Custom Solutions Pacific Northwest...."
Oh wow that looks way better. OEM camera is not a true dimensional image
When will they be back in stock?
Never mind o found it says on your video. When will they be in stock.
Out of stock when can i get one?
Hello I am interested in the product. Just wanted to know where did you purchase that bed camera. Mine is also not a great camera plus it just went out. Thanks Roland
Do you offer something for the back up camera or will it work with the back up camera? Also, Ford has an issue
I might be interested in this, but I'm curious on the tech specs. Original vs upgrade resolution? Original FoV vs upgrade? Low light performance of upgrade? My 2022 bed camera is only slightly useful and would love to upgrade it. Just need details to be sure the value is there for my use case. Especially at night when the camera just blows out from headlights and the rest is grainy as all heck. Care to post another video at night? Also, my camera does not have the pixelated center line, 2022 f150 XLT, 8" center screen.
I wonder if this camera can be altered to be used with the digital WOLBOX G804S 12 mirror dash cam? Perhaps they can provide the wiring so it can be altered for installation on my F150 Lariat?
Cool! Any plans for an upgrade for the reverse camera on the 2021+ F150s?
Many of the new F15)'s are coming with the CHMSL Camera removed. Do you know If I can buy this Camera and install it in my F150. I am being told by the dealership that I cannot add the CHMSL High Mount camera if the truck does not come with one.
Do you know if I can take my 2022 3rd light with camera and put it on my 2023 since they deleted the bed cameras on all 2023 trucks? I have Forscan but not sure if I can just turn it back on?
I know they have to have it for legal reasons, but if you made a tailgate camera would you be able to make the box that tells you to check your surroundings in a different location other than stock, stock OEM is Right where you need to see when you're actually trying to check your surroundings.
I agree, horrible location. Ours will not likely have that message, however you will have to agree to liability terms when purchasing. Stay tuned for product updates and releases!
There is a way to remove the message. But it’s jail breaking the Sync.
There is a camera recall due to cloudy cameras. Two different recalls to replace them. Just got a F350 that has a failed right side camera.
This is true however it is not likely they will replace the bed camera as it is not covered under the recall.
@@customsolutionspnwllc I see the two recalls mention front, sides, and back but you are right, they don't specifically mention the bed camera, but hoped the rear meant both.
Beautiful
Just purchased one of your cameras..... One question, how did you get the camera view to stay on while you were driving around at the end of the video?
Hello 2022+ model years come standard being able to view in motion. If you have a later model year you will need a kit from NavTV or similar company to make your cameras viewable in motion.
No good without sd card to record in back, long time. See those vehicles in back of truck, recording your truck with their dash cams.😁
I have so many questions regarding this. I've done so much digging and can't find the specs of the oem hardware. Specifically, what the resolution of the 12 inch infotainment screen is and what the resolution of the oem backup camera is. Just trying to get to the bottom of where the bottleneck is as to why the quality is what it is. Love your upgrade, what a huge improvement!
Is there a similar upgrade for the backup camera? (the one mounted in the tailgate)
You won't find an answer to your questions as Ford keeps everything under wraps and the answer is fluid. What I can say is the bottleneck depends on the truck, actually. I used an oscilloscope to measure the data. The F150 has a different bottleneck than the Superduty, for example, and the part numbers of the cameras also differ between years and model for performance. The screen resolution of the screen is not that high either, but it's not something I can easily measure. My guess is near the 2MP mark or 1080P for the 12" screen. Some F150s don't see much of an improvement due to IPMA and APIM module video processing. Hope that helps.
@@customsolutionspnwllc great info! I wonder why ford keeps it so close to the vest?
Is the harness already there if it didn’t come with that option from the factory
Have you found an answer?
It was there on mine but I have LED brake lights and 360 cam. Ordered from ford and they didn’t give me a bed cam at all
My bed camera not working on my 2018 f250 do you have any idea what’s wrong ? Thanks in advance
Likely need the camera replaced
@@customsolutionspnwllc i already teplace the camera but still same blue screen any other option?
Can I do this to my 2016 ford f150 platinum???🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
You need to make a camera for the tailgate camera as well.
It’s awful from ford
We get that a lot. It's in development. Check back on our website in a couple months.
How can we buy anything? Everything is sold out
Will this help the intermittent operation of the camera that many are having? Centerline?
Intermittent bed camera? Some vehicles do not have the centerline.
@@customsolutionspnwllc when hooking up a fifth wheel camper and or slide in bed camper. The centerline funtion is very useful and a is a must have feature in my opinion. Hopefully down the road this will be an option with this upgraded camera.
Would this camera also work in the "customer placed trailer camera" housing?
Hello Sonny. None of Fords Bed Cameras or our Bed cameras will work in Fords customer placed trailer camera housing. The connector plug is off 45 degrees from the housing.
Is there one for a 2015 F150?
Can this be installed in 2023 F150 that had the chmsl camera delete?
Yes it can. However you need the correct cable that plugs into the harness behind the light assembly and the IMPA module needs to be programmed to activate the channel through FORSCAN.
Do we have a part number or website to order, am I missing something.

Are you guys selling this? I'd like to possibly get one, but there are no links here or on your channel that I can see.
Yes we are. www.customsolutionspnwllc.com
Do you have the link for this

Hi where I can get this camera ?
www.customsolutionspnwllc.com/shop
What year is this for?
This is for the 15+ F150 and the 17+ Superduty.
@Geoff Connors my 18 f150 don't have camera in brake light.
It appears to be a worthwhile upgrade for an embarrassing truck. but the biggest embarrassment is that ford used the same camera from the previous-generation truck in the handle who's aspect ratio is totally off when they upgraded to the big screen in the center of the dash it's so bad that when you back up to a car it's almost indistinguishable..the proportions are completely off...but that's what you get when you buy a truck built to a price point
I've got a 2022 with the 12in display and every camera has very clear resolution aside from the bed camera. But even that camera is perfectly fine for its intended purpose. curious to know what else constitutes as an embarrassment?
@@nicholas2932 the fact that I personally have changed hundreds and there's a tsb and an ssm for camera replacement on virtually every car in the Ford line. The F-150 and F250 cameras get cloudy and faded and there's also a service bulletin for that but they're not available the embarrassing Factor comes in that the aspect ratio is completely wrong when you get the large screen in the F-150 because they use the camera from the previous-generation truck. The cars don't even resemble what they really are and people don't even look like people. The truck is built to a price point and Only Fools keep buying them over and over again.. imagine how many recalls you would have on that truck if it didn't do some of the updates over the air??
@@nicholas2932 I see you didn't read the original post, backup to a Mustang from the side with your truck and tell me it doesn't look like a Miata
@@ubeuonly Ok cool, so basically if X isn't designed perfectly you're disappointed... I'm not saying your wrong with any of your facts, but name one vehicle that isn't designed to a price point? Everything has issues dude. My trucks backup camera is crystal clear. Is it perfect? I guess not since its got you so worked up over it.... Why on earth are you hating at over the air updates? Your phone does it, your computer does it, Ford starts it and now suddenly they are just covering for recalls? Cars today are computers on wheels, someone was going to be first, Fords known for being innovative.
@@nicholas2932 to me you seem like you settle for mediocrity. There is no reason for a brand new vehicle to come off the truck deliver to the dealership meeting 10 modules software updates if you were a technician and you worked on cars you'd see the ones that are built to a price point you see where the corners are cut you would also see the Ford has twice as many recalls as any American manufacturer. This is fact.. 1 Ford set out to redesign their truck Ram hit a home run with their big-screen so Ford had to do something. They rushed it to Market and anyone who's taking them apart knows that that big screen was an afterthought. They use existing camera with the wrong aspect ratio and that's why nothing looks right when you back up. The shapes are all wrong big cars look small people look like mutants, it could have been remedied but for didn't think it was important because it would have costed money, just like that 1960s Mast antenna and the rusty undercarriage on all Ford trucks, these are facts which you should have looked into before you bought the square truck, the fact that over-the-air updates are available before casting to make it work, neither can Tesla, so is the Technology's not quite ready for Primetime why put it out there in one of the hottest selling vehicles in the world? Kind of setting the company up for failure

Nice but not worth $300
I don’t have the original because I can’t afford an F’ing truck that costs $70K that will never see gravel let alone Moab.
Please translate to English.
The original camera was clearer
You must be mistaken which is which. OEM is about 600TVL and the Upgrade is almost 3X that.
