Boeing P-8A Poseidon up close takeoff - Royal Australian Air Force - Avalon Airshow 2017

Australias first Boeing P-8A Poseidon departing from Avalon airport after dropping off equipment for the Avalon International Airshow 2017.
Recently delivered to the RAAF's No. 11 Squadron based out of Edinburgh Air Force base Adelaide, these will be replacing the ageing AP-3C Orions currently stationed there. While it will be a sad day when the Orions are gone, can't wait to see the new Poseidon fleet flying around. Currently the RAAF have 12 on firm order with another potential three on the cards. They will be performing Maritime surveillance while also having anti ship/submarine warfare capability.
