  • In the 1950s, the proposed Aswan High Dam on the Nile threatened to submerge the Abu Simbel temple and other ancient monuments of the Nubian Valley. But in an extraordinary effort, 50 countries collaborated to relocate the monuments. That sparked the creation of UNESCO's World Heritage Convention, which now protects over 1200 heritage properties across the world.

    Leaders of all nations should collectively attend some conference that shows the evolution of man and his achievements as a whole. On returning back, I guess they won't be as narrow-focused on their individual identities based on religion or race or color.
