    Good overview of layers. I had the app open on my iPad while watching. A thought to the folks at Navionics - a button on the App to push for training. It may be there, and although I fly commercial aircraft, its not intuitive to find help. Of course, if its super obvious and I’ve missed it, I am aware I just left myself wide open to your comments. Lol
    Before I send - I better say - I am off to the Navionics website to look for New User training. Thanks for what ‘appears’ to be a great app. Look forward to mastering in Central Florida :)

      Thank you so much for your comment and suggestion!
      Currently, we do have some resources for learning the app.
      You might be interested in having a look at our Help Index:

      There is also the Boating App Academy series of videos on RUclips:
      ruclips.net/p/PLHQEguDhuBaB8UUDb855VILt2jTsz5g-3
      There is not currently a direct tutorial link from the app itself, but we do take customer input under consideration. I have forwarded your suggestion to our developers. We cannot guarantee if and when a new feature will be implemented, but encourage you to like and follow our pages on social media to stay abreast of any future updates.

    What is the best devise to download and use Navionics while out in the water?

    • @navionics
      @navionics  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment. Navionics can be used on any Android phone/tablet above Android Version 5, and any iOS phone/tablet above iOS version 10. Our chart information is also accessible via serialized plotter cards, if you have a compatible plotter. (see here: tinyurl.com/y7dalnac) You will be receiving the same chart details no matter which product you choose (app or plotter card) so whichever means you decide, you will be accessing quality maps.

    Hello guys. I have contacted you via email about problems on the update for sonarcharts in Brazil. I’ve been sounding all around here since last 4 years but in the last 3 months there are no updates on my soundings to sonarcharts. What’s happening?

    • @navionics
      @navionics  3 года назад

      Cristian: Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear you are not seeing updated SonarChart data within your charting. In general, the SonarChart layer is updated with valid sonar log information uploaded to us within 2 weeks of receipt. This may take longer in areas that are either uncharted or may need updated coastline information.
      Since you have contacted us previously, we will have an agent reach out for additional details so we can investigate further. Have a great day.

    How do I get my tracks to transfer from my Simrad GO 5 to the navionics app on my phone and tablet?

    • @navionics
      @navionics  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your question. Tracks can be exported from your plotter in a GPX file format and then imported into the Navionics Boating app.
      You would need to first export the tracks from your plotter to a memory card using the steps provided in your operator’s manual. Once exported, you would email the GPX file you saved to yourself so you can open the email with the file on the phone or tablet you have the Boating app installed to.
      Once you have the email, simply import the file by sharing it to your Navionics Boating app from the email. You can find more information in our support document at support.garmin.com/en-US/navionics/faq/svQYf7Ckm14zQIwAIVXle7.

    • @navionics
      @navionics  2 года назад

      Dear Customer: Thank you for your comment. Our developers are aware of text not rotating on devices along with the charts. If you wish to be added to the open ticket, please from the app go to Menu>Submit Feedback and in the email that opens, reference Case #703827.

    Sir how to determine mud and sand in navionics app? Pls help😣😣

    • @navionics
      @navionics  3 года назад +1

      Rey: Thank you for contacting us.
      Bottom composition such as sand, mud, gravel, etc, are indicated in the chart information using abbreviations such as S, M, G, etc. These are usually found in the detail as you zoom in on the map.
      Some of our charting also includes colored seabed areas, where each of these bottom compositions are highlighted in a different color on the map. This option is available in select regions: Portugal, France, North of Corsica and select US HD lakes. To turn on this feature within your app go to Menu > Map Options > Colored Seabed Areas (toggle ON).

      @navionics  3 года назад

      Hello again, Rey.
      The Philippines are included in a couple of different coverage areas, depending on other areas you may do your boating in. We offer our Asia & Africa coverage, which includes Africa, the Middle East, Indian Ocean, China & Japan, Australia & New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, including the Philippines. Our other option is just the Pacific Islands, which includes the Philippines).
      Chart coverage can be purchased within your mobile app from Menu > Charts & Upgrades.
