This is the most premium cargobike I have ever seen.
Ticks all the boxes. I really want one.
indeed. It's like the Load from R&M but for cool peoples.
@Yataro79 That was kind of the idea actually 😅
@@PhilVandelay you made it better, you made it your own!
Excellent job man…👏👏👏👏👏
@@PhilVandelayHave you think about to make it FAT?
That would be hyper COOL!
Such a great design. I wish this was commercially available. I could really really use this in my daily life. In fact, I would say I have needed such a thing for the good majority of my life. Thanks for sharing with us.
There are hundreds of models like this available actually (well, not exactly like this but similar). If you want something with full suspension you might want to look at Riese&Müller, but prepare to be shocked by the price (which I think is justified btw, but many don't realize what goes into making these).
About what I paid for my used car, but beats busy traffic, and no fuel pump
@@PhilVandelay This is much more industrial compared to R&M, in a good way. Love this!
@@PhilVandelay next build should be the hardest and most controversial. The mouse trap. Thousands of designs and everyone will be deeply engaged. The over engineered mouse trap 🪤 could quite possibly be the hardest thing you have ever attempted. The hardest part will be making it cheap . But that would be up to you.
If I had a dog I love that you can see there reaction, and keep an eye on them. Also carry groceries!!😊😊❤
Over-engineered?? I freakin' LOVE it!👍 😃
Engineering? No mathematics was performed to load test this bike
@@janeblogs324I am not sure if you plan to transport an elephant on this bike to require "maths" 😂
The effort you put into these videos is such a benefit for us all Phil truly wonderful, thank you.
The kick stand amongst other parts really make it look and feel like a premium product. I think that because you use your bikes, you've got a great insight into what works and what things don't work for riders.
The bike's wonderful, but so's the filming and editing - great stuff, well done! Inspirational.
I'm an avid mountainbiker but I've never ridden an e-bike, I can definitely see it being advantageous on a cargo bike, especially with a heavy load. Suspension looks great, even a small amount of travel goes a long way to take the edge off. Also, Sam Pilgrim would be proud of that "stairset of doom" at the end, haha. Great stuff, Phil. Thoroughly enjoyed the build. :)
Haha, it made me think of Sams videos too. I wonder what kind of madness he'd be up to with this bike
@@PhilVandelay do NOT let him ride it, it would come back in pieces! haha
He'd stick his brother in the cargo section and bomb stairs! 🤣
I'd be disappointed if he didn't wreck it to be honest
@@PhilVandelay haha, valid. :)
@@PhilVandelay I'd say he would jump it, but he is not so good at jumping straight, so I guess he would prob have to flip it! hahah. I had to binge watch both videos, great bike. I also really enjoy your dry humor, priceless. I want one of these first, then try to find a use for it. Beautiful bicycle.
After the release of the first video I could not wait to see the final result.
Amusing to see all the attention to details and the care that went into building this nice bicycle. It makes me also appreciate the complexity of bicycles and what mass production allows us to enjoy. Thanks for sharing you project!
Super cool build, absolute dream bike. Congratulations!
Sick build Phil. Congratulations! Outstanding quality as usual :)
Sick?

What an amazing build! Congratulations on the bike and on the video, too.
This is just on another level. The ingenious design, supreme craftsmanship and absolute attention to detail are simply astonishing.
Though, I love my Omnium, I'm currently in a fit of extreme jealousy over this bike. Great work!
I love my omniuim (clone) as well! Actually I still ride it a lot despite having this one. Both styles of bike have their advantages
I can’t believe how good the finished build looks! The end result really showed how much work was put in 🤩
wow, you deserve some sort of a reward both for the quality of the build and the video production!
@28:00 I have learned that when making butt connections like this to fit inside frame rails its better space your connections in different locations. Make the 2nd connection an inch away from the 1st and the 3rd the same distance from the 2nd. Just don't let them overlap. This way you keep the diameter of the harness as small as possible. 3 connections in the same place makes it bigger and harder to pull though the opening. Great video!
Good tip, this also probably makes the area less stiff and less likely multiple solder joints will break at once. Hopefully I'll remember this one next time
Can’t tell which is more impressive, the bike or the video production. 🤔 Quality!
This guy is an artist. Congratulations for the creation process, cinematography and the amazing bike as a result.
Wow! This is incredible. The most aesthetic cargo bike I've ever seen.
thats one hell of a build! really quality stuff.. keep it up man
The attention to every tiny detail, and the expertise is sick. The result is very impressive, I honestly envy you for these skills. Very cool bike, enjoy!
this was truly a pleasure to watch. I love how you didn't hold back at any point and just made it as good as you could, while also making an awesome video about it. Thanks for sharing this with us :D
Well done, she's a beauty. Obviously she's tuff and does well when things get rough. Watching the whole video and seeing how capable the bike is during the montage left me wanting one for myself. Well done sir.
The steering setup is beautiful sir. Thank you for sharing this with us.
My R&M Load4 75 is 38kg. This thing here is really light and super well constructed. Congratulations.
That is absolutely the coolest cargo bike I've ever seen. 10/10, top notch, great build.
Heavily impressed. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! ❤
It was cool to see that you are able to 'pop' the front wheel to go up and down steps. A truly awesome build, and pretty damn light to boot.
its absolutely beautiful how clean your shop is
Keeping the top of the chain level in the finishing shot.. nice.
Потрясающая работа, браво! Я в восторге как от ваших проектов, так и от процесса их реализации.
amazing project! every detail and every idea to finish it. awesome bike. thanks for sharing this.
Great series of videos and excellent build and craftmanship! It's definitely inspired a few ideas for my recumbent motorcycle project. Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely amazing video! Top notch! Keep up the good work!
I have no need at all for a cargobike but would love to own this because I appreciate the skill that went into designing and making it. Thanks for sharing the process with us!
one of the nicest things i have seen someone make on youtube!!,
maybe also the most "i want that" bike i have seen in my life
What a freaking gorgeous B roll section at the end! Aside from the amazing bike, that’s an incredible section. Bravo
This is one of the best cargo bikes i've ever seen.
It would be a good bike to ride in the small streets I live in.
You're great Phil! Thanks for the amazing documentation of this fantastic build
This is so insanely cool! Must be such a rush to be able to apply your skills to something as practical and rad as this that you then get to use everday.
Nice Montana sticker, by the way 🎨
Very impressive accomplishment, design, implementation and practical use.
Wow.... Feels like a documentary... Workmanship and production are top top quality
Wow! Amazing attention to detail and execution! Very fine work!
Absolutely and utterly stunning Phil. The best channel on RUclips as far as I'm concerned. Amazing.
Awesome build and video series Phil, thoroughly enjoy watching that!.
Great design, fab, build, and video. As someone who likes to tinker on bikes this is on a whole another universe.
bro i've been waiting for this video forever! great build
Phil, Schoenes Tag! Having started working at an ebike shop in the last year and getting to know the industry, I have to say that your attention to precision and deep thought in all aspects puts the efforts of large ebike giants to shame. Your videos align very closely in subject matter to the content of my hopes and dreams and I hope to one day have access to a shop where I can build this bike (after having purchased your plans, of course). Keep on truckin'
So cool, congrats on the project of the year here on RUclips. Thanks for the opportunity to join the fun. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful build and great design. Love it.
WOW! This design awesome. Very well done, Phil.
Such a beautiful build, very nice! Great job!
Just awesome. Extremely impressed with your build videos!
Thanks Phil - very impressive build. Definitely looking forward to the future detailed build videos you noted. 👍👍😎👍👍
What a great series, well done to you, really enjoyed watching.
Awesome build as always. I think it needs a fold down seat in the cargo area for surprise passengers. Excellent execution.
I love it! The details are amazing and the look is so clean. If the steering has too much friction you could try just two cables. Those new cables are so strong and it would be easy to carry a pre measured spare set. Keep up the good work.
This is such a GREAT project! Well done.
that's a beautiful beast, and it looks like a sweet riding experience, congratulations!
favorite youtuber hands down. Love the machining
Questions for followup - What's the maximum weight you feel comfortable riding with, and how does a loaded ride compare to an empty ride?
How's the stopping distance (loaded and unloaded) compared to a regular bike?
What's in the cloth storage bag below the battery? (great idea btw)
This is such a GREAT project! Well done.!!!
Wow, a very impressive bike and the amount of time and patience put into this cargo bike. Thank you for sharing your passion and amazing skills. It really opened my eyes to another level of what I could possibility make in future. I've slowing building up resources and making stuff that few people have done from making dual purpose drum sanding machine, custom made a CNC machine to installing a 2014 modern engine 1KD into old 1988 BJ74 Landcruiser and passing inspection on first assessment and I'm no mechanic so I watch people and researched a lot especially the electrical wiring systems so could eliminate a lot of modern features like ABS, Airbag, immoblisers etc that 1988 didn't have. Researching is the key and its people like you and many other u-tubers that inspires people to do things they never imagine they would be doing. So thank you so much for sharing your passions
This is absolutely gorgeous! I really love the attention to detail, the exact use of 3d parts when necessary only, and the solid overall construction. I really enjoyed both videos for this build, even if I don't really ride bikes (I'm more of an electric unicycle person nowadays).
Really, truly, some great work here!
Well, today I learned that electric unicycles exist
Just incredible. Bikes are amazing. Cheers buddy 🤙
amazing how detailed you worked on this...! more videos please!
Absolutely incredible, great work!
Another awesome build ! I’ve taken much inspiration from this !
I've just found out about this channel and I can say that having less than 215k subs at the moment is a crime. I'm very impressed by the various building skills and also filming/editing. Became an instant fan. Kudos from Brazil.
An excellent build! Bike companies take note: *this* is how it's done!
One of the cooles projects I've ever seen on youtube and to put it in your words "I've seen more than I like to admit". Hope to see you ride by some day! Cheers
A true work of art. Congrats!
This has better quality then if a big company made it. Really impressive skills & build.. 100/10
That thing is exceptionally well done!
By far the coolest bike Ihave ever seen!
Supreme quality engineering as usual. It's like jewellery.
this is easily one of the coolest cargo ebikes Ive ever seen
Hey brother
Been waiting for this second part
Soo enjoyable to see video especially hearing narrative.
Really outstanding stuff, bike and videos.
great video! I've loved following your series. keep up the good work
Wow incredible job. Great engineering
really impressed with this build
Stunning work! 🥳 A real labour of love ❤
Beautifull work ! At this level, concept and craft what's in your mind, be an Artisan, it's a dream for a next life :) Thx for sharing !
im very impressed with the quality of machined parts, well done mate
Super awesome! I want one. Not only an amazing cargo bike, but also a very good video! Nicely done on many planes.
I love this bike!!!...i am filled with envy...your design needs to go into production and sold worldwide
I didn't invent this type of bike, this is just my take on it. If you google cargo-bike you'll find there's hundreds of models similar to this available (some with similar features like full suspension)
Love the build of your cargo bike, e-power ftw!
Such a clean build. You can be proud, of what you did :)
GORGEOUS. Beautiful build.
I'd love to attempt a project like this myself. I'd innovate on 2x small front tires for shortness/trike, comfort seat, and perhaps try for a belt driven, internal geared system. The thought is very exciting!
Absolutely stunning!
super super nice, great looking, well engineered
Outstanding work, as always.
Prettiest cargobike I have seen so far. Man i would love one of those!
Beautiful build 👌🏼
Great work!
I ride over that bridge you showed in the end everyday to work :D
WOW, that's all I can say! Well done! Thanks for posting and take care!
This is pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing
I love every one of your videos! Amazing work! Would love to see a work shop tour video😍
That's a super light cargo bike. Nice job.
