It would have made much more sense if this “manor” was another DIA front instead of a mob front, except with Mistress of Mystery merchandise as a cover. And it would have been a perfect Railroad safe house.

@@theelite49 She's mentioned heavily during Fallout 4 and appeared on some covers of The Unstoppables issues we find during Fallout 4. You have a point that her special weapons weren't brought in until Fallout 76 though.
Trevisani already went to the trouble of having Shroud costume of his own made. It's hardly have been much of an issue for him to have an appropriate one made in addition to his for his own Mistress of Mystery.

Just a thought on the whole thing with the carpenters, it's possible that they told Trevisani that the billiard room floor was sagging simply to generate more work for themselves; it does seem like most business owners in the time before the war all had some 'shady ' scheme going on- and it's something that does happen in RL, so there's that. The carpenter also mentioned that he really enjoyed working on the place and connected with the 'more work from a rich guy' motive could explain why the floor appears to have been repaired; the work never really needed to be done.

Something interesting, by making the "Silver Shrouds" scarf scarlet red like they have, it actually gives the outfit an appearance much closer to the Shrouds main influence, The Shadow. The Shadow's an old pulp era hero that ran in a long black trench coat, broad black hat, and a bright red scarf. They tried to make a movie with Alec Baldwin in the 90s, but it failed pretty miserably. Still, a neat touch nonetheless.

Because I play on survival and there's no fast travel....once you unlock the Institute, you can fast travel there which is conveniently located smack dab in the center of the map. Almost directly around the corner, lol is the Shroud Manor. So now you can fast travel from any point to the Institute, then walk for 60s or so and be at your home. Store all your new gear you love, and be close enough to quickly sell whatever else. The best one yet imo

I feel like candy should have gone crazy and masqueraded as the silver shroud. They should have had the mob boss be some newbie boss who loved the silver shroud characters buying stuff and owning a comic book shop. He would fund all this with selling chems, gambling and what not. The silver shroud manor would be his own little museum. He would have pictures of all the silver shroud characters, especially the villains. They could have made up pictures for characters and given them names too. Make it all just for this mod. Maybe after 200 years candy would be crazier than ever and pays the triggermen to kill this silver shroud imposter (which is you) which explains why they are after you so much.

A thought on the man in the tanned suit, makes me wonder if it was a reference to the "Sole Survivor" (our PC) or the "Vault Tec Rep" ghoul character.
Of Course that breaks lore, seeing has the player can chose the "Sole Survivors" gender, and "Vault Tec Rep" wears a yellow dirty suit or was it clean yellow suit? (It has been awhile so I don't remember clearly)
So my first thought is more likely, but only if you choose "Nate" over "Nora".
But has we all know... Creation Club is "rarely" lore friendly XD

    Great job, Oxhorn!
When I read the description of the CC item for sale “suspected crime boss” my thoughts went to that being a cover for someone trying to *be* the Silver Shroud before the bombs fell.
They couldn’t get dirt on the guy because he wasn’t a crime boss but he seemed to somehow know what criminals were doing.
Kind of like The Green Hornet.
People thought he was a villain but he is actually the hero.
I also think the retexture of the Shroud costume is interesting.
Basically, if you want to be a hero, but not The Shroud, you can actually be The Shadow!
Okay, yes, that seems to have been the original idea for The Shroud. He is the Fallout Universe’s version of The Shadow.
Now we can choose to be either. 😄😎👍
Seems to be worth $4. I may grab it.
I just wish they had made a Mistress of Mystery outfit/armor and her weapons as well.
If they had done that I would have bought this CC even before watching this to see if I should spend the money. 😉
    Alas.

Well, I have the mysterious serum, it could be nice to speak with Candy, and turn her into the beauty she was in her top days (from a ghoul). THAT could be awesome, together with the possibility to run this house as a settlement and settlers (invite settlers here and equip them with submachine gun and other clothes available here). Growing plant on the attic, should have soem water too. Lot of nice loot, but little too silent in this way.

I also wanted to say that almost every part of this creation reminds me a lot of the various buildings and player homes you get in New Vegas, minus the western theme. I like to think that things from the creation club that don’t show up anywhere else (ie the two mob families in this mod) or missing links in stories (sagging floor boards/sergeant in tan suit) have just been lost to time. It’s been 200 years, closure is something that should be hard to find. I try to imagine all the stories that have been lost from Ancient Egypt or other civilizations and how they’ve been lost to time. I’m sure much information has been lost from before the War. Great vid as always!

Also, I understand how the shroud hobby hides his empire. The gang has some nobody artist make up a poster, maybe through connections, the gang then has these posters authenticated as one of a kind art works, then they sell them to themselves at auction(someone bidding in the audience) then late those junk collectables are sold on the open market for profit. The gang gets by appearing as collectors of art and memorabilia, you want Shroud memorabilia that's extremely rare and valuable? Go to them, and they procure it, except it's all fake and they take the money. But they can avoid charges on this because they can easily make it real art by just having the actors sign it because we know that the gang already know the actors well. They come off as just another memorbellia dealer which is profitable, but highly risky, few people make it in that world, so they do it illegitimately which makes them seem even smarter but also hides their money, say a customer wants a poster, the gang says they'll get one for 1,000,000 dollars, well they'll go to an auction and buy that poster for 2,000,000 and since the auction house is one their payroll, it's all good. They spend their clients million and a million dollars in drug money, then they cook the books and get it all to line up with phantom buyers and bidding on more than one item the client didn't ask for. It's actually a pretty common scheme in the art world and very very hard to catch.

What I like about the player homes in the creation club is that you have places to upgrade your weapons and armor and stock up on supplies in areas where you wouldn’t be able to do so otherwise. This is even more important in survival difficulty where you can’t rely on fast travel to get to your settlements or player homes. Of all the player homes in the creation club as of this comment I like the looks of the noir penthouse and neon flats the best.
