    Could you do a video on programming the hot keys, how to get new charts/ maps and perhaps a explanation on how to change the transducers angle for each orientation.

    In the Installation setup, what is "Use AHRS"? Do we want this ON or OFF?

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  2 года назад +1

      AHRS is Attitude Heading Reference System. Basically, it is what tells the unit what is level on the transducer and recognizes which orientation your livescope is in. I would leave it on auto.

    Good content! One question maybe you can help, in downward mode, upon the screen, why is the right side showing as the opposite side. Vise versa on either side. Ex: Im on the right side of the hole but shows that Im on the left on the screen???

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  2 года назад +1

      Appreciate it, Gary! It’s tricky in downward mode because you can’t tell which direction is forward for the transducer. All you need to do is turn your transducer 180 degrees and they will be on the correct side.

    I mainly fish mixed sand & weed areas. Is it easy to distinguish that on Livescope? Thanks.

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  Год назад +1

      You should be able to tell where the weeds are, especially if they are taller. Sand typically stands out pretty good and gives a solid return. Once you get all of the other settings set, I would move gain up and down until you can see a difference in the harder bottom of the sand

    I haven't bought the LiveScope yet, although its on my list. I was wondering, how much room does this take up in the shanty? Correct me if im wrong, but you have to have a dedicated hole for the unit, correct? Thanks!!

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  2 года назад +1

      Glad you enjoyed! If I know I’m not moving soon, I will drill a separate hole. You can use it in the same hole and either take it out when you catch a fish, or leave it in and the fish may get tangled in the ducer. Otherwise the unit itself is around 17-20” for length/width

    I do have a quick question when you are switching in settings from forward to down do you need to change the orientation of the transducer on the pole or do you just leave that in the forward position. Thank you very much!!!

      @tjsguideservice awesome thank you....I just got a unit and have been messing around with the options and it seemed like you could go into orientation and change it from down to forward without switching the angle of the transducer. I'll have to do that 👍👍 I'm assuming for laker fishing in 70-80 feet if water it's best at down angle?

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  7 месяцев назад

      @@benjaminfisher9121 thats what I typically do for laker fishing! You should go check out this video. It will help understand the transducer a ton.

    thanks for this! I had a lot of lag watching my lure using the PS22 with a UHD 73. Yours' looks smooth and real-time....Is this a settings thing or better head unit thing? I'm considering the 106 Ultra instead of the 93 to go with my new livescope. Cheers.

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  Год назад +1

      Glad you found it helpful! That sounds like a system issue, not a settings issue. I just switched to a 106sv with the lvs34 and I am very impressed! So, for what it’s worth, I think it’s a worthwhile investment from the research that I have done. Hope this helps!

    Im super stuck on what screen to get. I was gunna to get the 8610xsv map, but I might go with one of the echomaps. Any ideas or opinions on what to get would super help me out alot ive been losing my mind trying to choose. Looking for one with 10" screen

    • @tjsguideservice

      I have had really good luck with the ultra 106sv. I’ve heard it has a faster processing speed and better resolution than many. I the the gpsmaps get you more features (screen recording, hdmi out, etc…). I would actually like to switch to the gpsmap strictly for the screen recording feature for my videos

    Which why is the transducer supposed to point too to scan? Is it the flat side or the pointy side of the transducer?

    • @tjsguideservice

      Typically when I am in murkier water I will back off on my gain, but turn my color gain up to help offset that. Also, make sure noise reject is on high. That should be a good starting point at least!

    What is the lowest volatge you can safely use your garmin at. Mine had a alarm set for 11 out of the box and at 12V it shut down.

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  2 года назад

      For me it has depended on the battery I’m running and the temp of the for my lithium battery, it seems that anytime it dips below 11 volts it can shut down and any time. With the base lead acid battery it would sometimes dip lower. What battery are you running?

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  2 года назад

      It very much depends. When I am ice fishing I can see it immediately down underneath the transducer. I can see your jig 3ft in front as well, especially if you are fishing shallower. The deeper you go, the more difficult it is to pick up close to it like that.
