This was def mid 90s. Coney Island high was a staple for the NYC hardcore and punk scene and all touring bands. It was located in st marks and now has been turned into a sushi bar(ground level) and three story condos. The Beastie Boys would often play one offs under as assumed names for die hard fans. They loved playing music. Hands down.
they played under the name Quasar and did a all hardcore set ...1995 Coney Island High www.setlist.fm/setlist/beastie-boys/1995/coney-island-high-new-york-ny-2bdd3026.html

Gem
I have a hard time believing this is 1995. They'd have a way bigger audience.
Ishbu101 probably a secret show
But the clothes already look like the 90s.
This was a secret show, they went on a tour during 1995-97 under the alyias "quasar"
Who was on drums?? So tight
AWOL
Amery AWOL Smith, from Suicidal Tendencies
It’s also on Psycho TV which was exclusive to Coney Island High. I’m out.
I'm thinking it's 1980, or 81, before they wrote there own songs.

I don't know why they would play cover songs of punk bands in a bar when they were mega stars...The Circle Jerks were better then the Beastie Boys
Because they're a hardcore band? Just go away you fucking twat
All bands do cover tracks...
