This is awesome man. I just bought a used 2001 Warrior and I absolutely love it. It was in perfect condition too, no rust, few scratches, plastic was brand new, and the guy even had the manual for it.
I grew up with a kid that had a '88 white warror.. kicked the snot out of my brand new 91 250X all damn day. I remember when this was Yamaha's 1 - 2 punch man.. incredible machines. Nothing sounded or performed like this pair back in the day. I swear rocks hurt a little more when you're trailing a damn banshee lol nice channel btw.
Thank you! Yeah the warrior is beast on the trail, I have owned three and they all were bulletproof. Those rocks tickle a little but the ones that bounce off my facegaurd are the ones that really concern me hahaha
+Bryn Dunbrack they are definitely a good solid trail machine. never had a single problem with any of the 3 warriors I owned and I put them all through some serious abuse too.
You should get some pipes for that warrior u can find some really good bassy sound from them bikes. I would recommend DG pipes that's wat I run and it sounds really good
The Guy In The Bushes I’ve tried them all, in the end I went with the Yoshimura RS3 with the FMF PowerBomb, removing the arrestor and screening the tip and wall-a... beast!! Have a peek👍 ruclips.net/video/cSGfdDULfjE/видео.html
4 new tires, and all upper & lower control arm bushings on my Warrior. Nothing major that's for sure. Should be entertaining to get it out in the snow soon. Not half as capable as a 4wd but still fun to mess around on !
+Bryn Dunbrack this is my old Warrior in the snow! My warrior left all the Banshees behind that day, they couldn't get traction on the hill in the soft melting snow and mud ruclips.net/video/5qnvCdtu2L4/видео.html
this is at Shasta Chappie OHV area near Lake Shasta. The creek we started at is called Motion Creek. The end of the video we are climbing up the backside of Coley Mountain.
when you want to slow down or when you need to climb a steep hill and it feels like the engine is starting to bog. listen to the engine, she will tell you when she is struggling.
I'm getting a warrior this week or next week and looking to get good power from it and torque, what exhaust does this one have ? I'm thinking fmf power bomb header and a fmf power core Iv silencer for mine
- Mastered_Failure - i liked my old 88 because it had the pull start backup for if the battery went dead. Good to have although they are easy to roll start in 2nd or 3rd gear on a hill.
I am relatively new to the ATV world (though I did grow up with dirt bikes as a teen); anyway, I own a modified 05' Raptor 350 (Big Gun header, muffler, carb free-flow mod, and twist throttle) and have a sort of medical question: how long does the hand tingling last? I ride pretty aggressively and try to keep my grip loose, but of late, my hands keep going numb and throbbing. I have ridden nearly every weekend for the last 6 weeks, but need to let things settle down before I ride again.
You are getting what they call "arm pump" man and yeah like you said you need to work on relaxing and not overgripping the bars. Part of this I think is nerves and part is being in shape and having the grip strength to hold on. Being sore and the throbbing is normal at first, it will get better as you learn not to overgrip and relax more with more experience. I still get it too myself on really rocky ground. Have you tried a thumb throttle instead of the twister?
Thanks for the feedback: the twister is what came on the ATV and I have contemplated returning it to a thumb unit, but I quickly discovered my dislike of thumb units when snowmobiling last winter, as it makes my hand ache like a beotch, lol
+Brett Hughes if you are buying a used one check that the rear axle is good and tight in the housing. if there is a lot of slack where the axle meets the housing it could need new bearings. try rocking it from side to side and see if there is slack. it should start up easy, idle, and run strong with no smoke out the exhaust. a smoking exhaust could mean the valves are shot, out of adjustment or the whole engine needs a rebuild.
Brett Hughes Great machine, bullet proof and lots can be done to the platform Have a look “THE UNFINISHED” Skies the limit with imagination ruclips.net/video/cSGfdDULfjE/видео.html
I have a 02 warrior. I like it. Just put bunch of money. Pretty Good and they last long But men i miss my banshee.. I keep it on 2 wheels thouuuu my kx250 rips
Hey man, I have a question for you. If you had your choice of a reasonably priced and used warrior, banshee, blaster, raptor, 400ex, ltz450... which would you go for? I've tried to google it to break down what the consensus is but I just keep running into fanboy forums that praise one or two and bash the others, then the next forum is the flip.
Those are all good machines. Kind of comes down to your preference and riding style. I love my yamahas but Honda and Suzuki both make nice machines also. Warrior is a good starting quad if you have never really ridden a sport quad before
I guess I should have included that I spent every day for a good three years on this little Suzuki Quadsport 230 I had when I was like.. 8 maybe? Was entirely to big for me, but even then I was hanging off the side throwing it around corners as best I could. I've probably flipped and thrown myself off a quad more times than weekend riders have even started their machine. So I'm comfortable on four wheels. I'm looking for something that can take the abuse of being rode hard. Lots of wide open and potentially hards bumps. Field and woods out back have some nasty divots that I haven't eased out yet.
@@beastinahalfmode warrior would probably be about the same as your old Suzuki suspension wise, they are not great. It would have a little more power being s 350 and 6 forward gears instead of 5 like most quads. Before you jump onto a banshee I would try out a blast or Honda trx250r, see if you even like the feel of a two stroke.
@@trailblogger -- Thanks for the heads up. I'll see what I can't figure out about riding a few before making a commitment. I don't have any bias on two stroke or four stroke, but grew up looking at 2 strokes from the grocery store magazine rack back in the 90s. Whats your opinion on the matter.. smaller 2 stroke and being lighter, or bigger 4 stroke obviously being heavier. What do you find you enjoy more? I am a very spirited rider. If I'm not gunning it, sliding around, or otherwise pushing the machine I'm don't feel like I'm really riding, and it seems like you're maybe the same.
Mulvihill Bros I got one for $300 a mint 2000 warrior and it needed a $220 part the stator was gone and it ran and it needed a carb but it runs now and running better then ever
I have a crf100f but I might sell it for a raptor 250, Right know I have about 1-2 feet of snow. All my friends want me to a snowmobile I said screw it and I told them I'm gonna get a raptor instead.
+Honda Kid well if I lived where there was more snow I might go for a snomo but here there is hardly enough snow unless you travel up into the mountains. The way I see it, you can always bolt some skiis on the front of your raptor and run paddle tires in the back during the winter but they can't exactly bolt nobbies on their snomobiles and drive them down the rocky trails...
+Donavan Merrifield Start with the clutch pulled in. Anytime you want to stop, pull that clutch in. Just get used to using the clutch at the same time as the brake. Slowly release the clutch and give it just a tiny bit of gas as you are letting that clutch out then pull the clutch right back in again without even moving. Do this multiple times without letting the clutch out all the way. This way you will get the feel of the clutch before you even start rolling. When you are ready let the clutch out slowly as you are giving it gas then ride about 10 feet- immediately pull the clutch back in again and brake to a stop. Get used to riding 10-15 feet at a time in a straight line on flat ground then move up to riding in a oval or circular pattern. Once you get used to the oval or circle it is time to conquer hills and trails etc. Go slow and give yourself time to learn. Don't listen to anyone else just learn at your own pace and ride the speed that you are comfortable at. Remember you can't practice riding if you are in the hospital or have a broken arm. Always, I mean ALWAYS wear a helmet. Not trying to preach but you did ask :-)
+Kaden Murdock hahaha yeah Nacho is a little crazy I mainly didn't want to get stuck on the trail behind him on the steep spot if he didnt make it. that last part was a fun little climb.

I hated warriors for a long time but recently I’ve been looking at them again and I’m considering getting on as a sort of trail blaster.
They dont have a ton of top speed but they are a great trail machine
Makes me want to take my warrior out and just drive it around the neighborhood! I wish we had trails like that around here.

Nice video buddy! I'm going to do some riding in a little bit, taking the Hero 3 with me.

You should get some pipes for that warrior u can find some really good bassy sound from them bikes. I would recommend DG pipes that's wat I run and it sounds really good
I had DG on my first warrior, I liked them too. I like the white bros also though.

thanks for watching. what are you getting fixed right now?
+Bryn Dunbrack what kind of quad do you ride? Why is it down for repairs?
4 new tires, and all upper & lower control arm bushings on my Warrior. Nothing major that's for sure. Should be entertaining to get it out in the snow soon. Not half as capable as a 4wd but still fun to mess around on !

I'd like to post a few vids of my trail riding but I only got a first gen GoPro and am half reluctant to use it lol
