- The Flash animation removed for legal reasons from rathergood.com because it had the Immigrant Song in it. OR SO THEY SAY!
From recent intelligence, the real reason could be because Fark.com totally hosed the rathergood.com servers. That actually sounds more logical.

Considering that the original flash animation was from the 1990s, back when the World Wide Web was just barely in its infancy, most folks in the US who were online at all were on AOL, Amazon still only sold books, Google was just a search engine, and RUclips didn't yet exist, I'd say you're correct ;)
I remember seeing this in like 2003. I cannot hear this song anymore without thinking about this.

Really true. Today it is all ad revenue and troll bots and phone apps that track every tiny thing you do. Despite the low-resolution and lack of functionality, the early days were much more like an inside joke among geeky friends.

I remember running this video when my kids were actual kids. Well, teenagers ... today, I am a proud grandpa, and if her mom doesn't show her this, I most definitely will! Awesome animation to go with this equally great song.

It hurts me as a swede to admit this since swedes and danes has tried to steal Norways thunder for such a long time: But vikings came orginally from Norway. This video proves it beyond any doubt. The fjords FORCED the vikings to make boats to be able to travel inside Norway crossing the hundreds of fjords in Norway. Sweden and Denmark are both without fjords - so there was no need to invent boats there. Your video just made me realize this fact.

I grew up right.
Every time I look at my cat, I think of this song - like, just now, so I had to see if it was still around.
Also (I hate the 500 char limit), the blood, gore, and death would only fertilize the ground making the fields, yes, softer and greener. "Tales of Thor" doesn't really make sense to me. Yes, Thor was one of the norse gods, most definitely. But yet.. what does that have to do with fields so "soft and green"? That's why I think he's really saying "Gore".
