That a really nice quality camera. The zoom looks great, thank for the effort there. I'm going to liquid metal my M17R2, because it runs hot as heck (CPU 100c just opening Chrome). Its a few years old and I think the factory paste is shot.

changed the thermal paste on my g15 and gpu temps went down about 10 degrees C but CPU went from like 83 to 100 degrees i dont know what i did wrong. The thermal paste looked like it hat tiny bits of liquid metal. Any suggestions?
Edit: turns out that dell is using a special compound called element 31 which contains Liquid Metal. That was the issue for the rise of temperature on the cpu.

Do you have update after 2 year? Did u reapply liquid metal or do something?

Do you have any idea of what thickness the thermal pads are? I messed up mine and threw them in the trash cause I don't know what they were lol, replaced them with some gelid 2mm pads but now I'm thermal throttling hard...

May I ask, what is the solution you use to scan the surface of the chips around the GPU?

Never use liqidmetal with copper heatsinks. Overtime the heatsink and the chip will form an extrem bound like solder. I destroyed my AiO CPU heatsink with this!!

I read it was aluminum. safe to copper. so what is safe?

Safe with copper . Not safe with aluminium

It’s perfect for copper, been using it for 4 years on my 6700k without issues. There is some very very very slow embrittlement. This is a big issue is you use aluminum.

@@TechMDRUclips its safe to use with nickel plated cooper, with cooper only it will form an galium-cooper alloy (CuGa) , the good part is that the only problem generated by using it directly on copper will be the need to reapply the paste after a some time.

you strongly bend the board and do not treat it carefully. I would not trust you to climb into a laptop. using liquid metal for a copper heatsink is crazy. soon your processor will crack :)

What are you talking about lmao.
Liquid metal SHOULD go with a copper heatsink. It eats through aluminium, not copper.
