Were you saying the Mini could also support another display as well? It seems like for my situation, I don’t need to take the computer with me and I need memory, speed and storage, the mini seems like the best choice (money wise too)
One thing about the Mac Mini that never gets mentioned is that it is so small and light that you could take it from office to home very easily just by disconnecting the cables and tossing it in a backpack or suitcase. Very convenient.
I bought the MacBook Pro base model with a 256gb ssd and a monitor. I didn’t care if I got the base model because it’s easier for me to sell it and buy a new one when I want to. It’s amazing, and I love the customizable Touch Bar

Your reviews as always are the best. Before they were announced I got the MacPro2020 and I was hesitant. Now looking back for what I do air would not have been best. As he said if you got a monitor and all the fancy stuff get a MacMini. Now if you’re on the go and have a extra SSD you’re light worker get an Air. But Pros are powerful.😅 I’m bias.
@Tech Gear Talk... can you check if this is true... with Apple products especially the new ones... even if there is an extremely teeny tiny problem then you are screwed. Apple themselves CANNOT repair their own products... They will straight away tell you to buy a new product. Is this true?
Hi Jeff. The Mini would definitely work (base configuration with external drive). The Air would be plenty if you're looking for a Notebook. Even the base model would work. If you're working off of external drives, again, you can save some cash on the setup. If you want the convenience of "not needing an external drive at all times" you can upgrade the internal SSD. Hope that helps!

Why not compare 16Gb prices???
Thanks for watching. Because it’s a fixed-cost upgrade for all models from the lowest common denominator I presented.
m1-16gb ssd wear issue?
None that I've experienced. Everything I've seen so far has been theoretical projections. You?
I got the Mac Mini a month ago. I love it. for work and personal use. hook that up to a nice monitor and good to go.
It's a great value! CONGRATS!!! Thanks for being part o the channel!
Money is the first factor to decide which one to buy 😄
Your reviews as always are the best. Before they were announced I got the MacPro2020 and I was hesitant. Now looking back for what I do air would not have been best.
As he said if you got a monitor and all the fancy stuff get a MacMini. Now if you’re on the go and have a extra SSD you’re light worker get an Air. But Pros are powerful.😅 I’m bias.
Thanks so much for always supporting the channel!

Done! Thanks for reminding me 🙏
@Tech Gear Talk... can you check if this is true... with Apple products especially the new ones... even if there is an extremely teeny tiny problem then you are screwed. Apple themselves CANNOT repair their own products... They will straight away tell you to buy a new product. Is this true?
Detailed battery life test!!! 💻
Will work on it Katherine!
My mini comes in today. Battery life!!! Battery life please!!!
CONGRATS!!! I'll work on the battery life video! Thanks for being part of the community.
Been looking into one of these just for photo editing/Lightroom use. Which one would you recommend and what configuration?
@@TechGearTalk thanks so much this is a big help!
👍🏻
Looks like the only use for Macbooks these days is video editing.
#1👍. Still watching 💪
Abe!!!! Breaking into the top 3 - 🙏
Do you expect a new Mac Mini for 2021?
I don't believe so John. The cycle for the Mini hasn't been that short.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks much
👍🏻
Hey man. AmaZing content, love your stuff! I can't wait to see more videos because I'm addicted lol. But if you didn't actually return your M1 Pro, don't give the video a title that alludes to that. Wouldn't want to see this channel go down the clickbait road. But nonetheless, great content.
need a gold one
True... Next time. Appreciate you being part of the channel!
Mac mini and an iPad and I’m good son!
Ah, you turned into an AppleTalk channel.
Waiting on some news camera bodies to come in
Who can do any serious work on a 13 inch screen? Bring on the 16 inch screen to balance the horsepower...
I can't wait for that one!
Whats your daily driver?
My daily driver is the PRO because I really do love the touchbar and the brighter screen (and my main workstation is a windows desktop). Hope that helps. Thanks for being part of the channel!
