Today´s boxers are too concerned about the 0´s. That´s why we love Linares, Lomachenko to say two of the modern era... They represent everything boxing stands for. Exceptional skill, they take risks, they are devoted and they won´t budge to setbacks. Jorge is a great warrior i was sad seeing him losing his last fight, but he gave us so much thrill. Great documentary mate, thanks!
I’m extremely sad we won’t get to see anymore fights from Linares. He has been one of my favorite fighters to watch for the last 10 years. What a career.
Truly an inspiration to young boxers everywhere, he took the tougher times in his career as a lesson to come back better and stronger ( with such a mindset we always "win")
A gentleman and a warrior. The finest offensive stylist since the one and only Ricardo Lopez. Linares versus Kevin Mitchell is one of the great boxing matches for purests of modern times...exciting as all hell too. I find it hard to believe but almost no one gives Linares any hate, and in this day and age, the guy seems to get only love and respect from the press and the fans and that alone says everything you need to know. May the man have all the health and happiness in his retirement, he mored than earned it. Respect.
I've had the pleasure to have met Jorge. He's a really nice guy who I got to have a good chat with. From that meeting, I have a treasured framed photo of us together on my man cave wall. I also met Salas the same day. Also, what a great guy. So funny. I also have a picture with him on the wall.
Mr linares is … and always will be and that’s it… may the second part of your life be blessed as the first and my the good lord protect you and your loved ones 🙏🏼 honour and integrity is mr linares 🇬🇧🥊
i always liked watching his fights. i think he was a great boxer. maybe not extremely accomplished (in mainstream meaning) but great to watch, enjoy and study.
No he wouldn’t , that was prime Loma. One of if not the most technical boxer we have ever seen. Prime linares was great but what we saw prime Loma do against all these world champions was out of this world
@@crs7794 prime Loma was still losing on one card and even on a 2nd card in the 11th round against a faded Linares, who dropped prime Loma and won half the fight. Had Jorge been younger, quicker, and more reflexive, there's a real chance he would've won that fight on points. Jorge could take body shots when he was younger. And Lomachenko isn't close to being the most technical fighter ever. That makes you sound new to the sport. He has massive technical flaws that have led to him losing on multiple occasions. He throws arm punches and squares up/crosses his feet constantly. Lesser fighters are bamboozled by his movements but every time he fought anyone remotely technical themselves salido, Ortiz, Linares, Haney, pedraza, Lopez, etc. he didn't look spectacular.

I admire so much more a fighter that is willing to risk losing in the quest for glory. Linares is a perfect example.
💯
Farewell champ
Linares is a hidden gem in the world of boxing and has been one of my favorite fighters.
He sure was! Very entertaining fighter to watch!

Linares has some of the most aesthetically pleasing offense in boxing history. I love his combinations. Hope he has a great retirement.

He's one of my favorites! I love that people aren't being mean towards him here right now unlike other times

Thank you very much for that fantastic video ! Linares deserved so much this tribute !
He is my favorite boxer of all time, he was so fast, balanced, strong, hard hitting and able to move real smooth
A classic tribute to one of the best “boxer-punchers”’who gave us some great fights. Thank you for making this synopsis available.👍😇🥊🥊

Well said! I know, I see very little hate for the guy. Much like the Japanese fighters, came through the ranks always showing lots of respect.
Great breakdown, good career he had, wish him the best!
Thankful of your work
My pleasure!

Linares 1 of the best fluent combination punchers I've ever seen. Very exciting to see offensively
Excellent documentary, many thanks.
We will miss you brother thank you, and may God continue to bless you and your family.
Amazing work like always Jamie 💯🔥🥊life4life
Appreciate it Billy! 👊
I find it so cool Linares got sent to Japan at such a young age
Dude is the real deal tho always respected his warrior spirit

Great warrior

Its sad he will be remembered for losing to a 22 yr old. And the crazy part is the 22 yr old gets more hate than him
He would've beaten Lomachenko had he been a couple years younger.

Would’ve loved to see him vs Ryan Garcia at 140 one last pay day for Linares to but if he’s happy he shouldn’t come back
Yeah I think he would’ve actually had more success compared to the Catterall fight. But clearly these other guys didn’t want the fight.
My one and only favorite fighter of modern day.
