      It's a German flag actually. It's just turned sideways.

    • @LaBurek

      +Sophia Do No, I'm pretty sure it is the Belgian flag.

      All the flags are turned sideways, but it is the German flag since Patricia is German. This is the Belgian flag 🇧🇪 and this is the German flag 🇩🇪

      But correctly it is highrise^^ skyscraper is a big highrise.
      But not that important^^

    • @Merecir
      @Merecir 9 лет назад

      Nutzername92a
      Höghus is not skyscraper, it is highrise.
      Skyscraper is skyskrapa, and there is only one skyskrapa in Sweden. A small one.

    • @Nutzername92a
      @Nutzername92a 9 лет назад +3

      Merecir I know. Somebody already said that. And it's the same with Hochhaus. Hochhaus means Highrise. Skyscraper would be Wolkenkratzer. So, her train of thought ("Höghus = Hochhaus") is still correct.

    Haha, when she guessed that "öl" means oil I got a total backflash to when I worked in a camping.
    This german couple had asked us if we could get some beer for them since we didn't normally sell that.
    They were an older couple who weren't very comfortable with english, so since I had studied german at school (and forgotten most of it) I got sent to tell them that it had arrived.
    So I knock on their door and the man opens and I go:
    "Eh, ehm... Der...die.. der öl ist gekommen, ok? Der öl? You know, you bestellen, der öl? Ööööl? Ja, öl!
    And I'm like "Why doesn't he get it??"
    Halfway back to the reception I realize that beer is called bier in german and that I'd been telling the poor man that his oil had arrived, no wonder he looked at me like I was an alien. Probably thought I was scamming him or something. XD
    I apologized later and we had a good laugh about it, but identical words with a different meaning can really mess things up! :)

      OtorrinLaringologo= otorhinolaringologyst/otolaryngologist.
      Ten en cuenta que es un neologismo derivado del griego y del latín, muy susceptibles de ser adoptados en inglés y otros idiomas como el sueco. No es el caso del alemán.
      Pero entiendo lo que quieres decir; había que ponerles palabras más chungas. Seguro que sí que se hubieran vuelto locos con palabras como cizalla, tranquillo (con LL), gazapo, mamarracho, etc...

    • @MrPoke1mon

      +Pedro Rivas it is pretty difficult. once a person said (forgot name) (i don't know the exact sentence) " you need 3 hour to lern englisch, 3 month to learn french and 3/30 years to learn german". German is a very complex language where you nearly can put every sentence in diffrent stuctere. e.g (Hans bite the dog) it is Hans beißt den Hund, but you can also write Den Hund beißt Hans without changing the meaning while in englisch if you do that it completly changed.

    Odd that that German girl and that Swede didn't guess those words better. Even a blind maid would see the AUGEN in ÖGON. Pun intended.

    Solglasögon:
    Sol-Glasögon (Sun-Glases)
    Glas-ögon (Glass-eyes)
    Swedish is complicated. xD

    • @agricolon
      @agricolon 9 лет назад +8

      ***** but again: it's quite similar ;) in German it's Sonnenbrille (Sonne=sun + Brille=glasses) but Glasaugen (Glas=glass + Augen=eyes) * in medieval German it was even closer: "ougen" instead of "Augen" ^^

      @TheDwagonHD 9 лет назад +12

      Gunnar M There's slang for glasses in sweden. "Brillor" quite simular to german's "Brille" dont you think? ;)

    Patricia do you speak bavarian or schwaebisch, or other dialects? Ö, Å Æ are all words in scandinavian. Erik or patricia both speak english and spanish castellano, how well do pedro and erik speak german, or pedro and patricia swedish? Or miriam speaks swedish or german, or erik or patricia french?

    I was very sure of that Swedish word that meant sunglasses. As an English speaker I was able to guess a lot of the German and Swedish words. I think they would have a hard time guessing my other native language, Navajo.
