We played with them, Sugarcult, Story of the Year, The Starting Line, and the Used in 2005 and they spent about 20 minutes before the doors opened getting it perfect. And it obviously sounded like it had effects but it wasn’t overkill. Live, it blends right in with the rest of the band. The only time they used extra reverb was for really long screams and at the end of certain songs. But live, they owned it. Story of the Year was awesome too. Sugarcult was wasted and played in their briefs and boxers, and The Used were preaching for about 50% of their set. But great times regardless.
decades late but worth noting the 2nd part of the guitar intro included in this live version was left out of the album recording but included on the acoustic version and sometimes played live.

Side note: years ago I did 4 grams of really good shrooms and my buddy Quinn let me housesit his basement practice space and his gorgeous drum kit. I got so retardedly high lol and legit?!
