I swear if y’all held a training camp I would find my way to LA just for that shit!! Awesome work right across the board. More power, love and respect to you guys 🙏🏾👊🏾
That hard corner at the top of the hill near the end....good reflexes! Can only win a few ways, but there are many places to lose. Congrats on your title defense!
Agree with D Charles over there. Some race commentary would be perfect for us viewers to understand what's going on in the race. The ones that u did with the race commentators themselves were awesome. A back camera would a great add-up too. All in all, ur vids are so sick.
After following every tactical move from start to finish, I'm exhausted!!! At my level of understating I view this as a "Master Class in Crit racing". Thank you Sir, thank you!
Well coordinated team riding. With Justin's risk tolerance in the corners and threading the needle, plus sheer strength with the tactics of reading the race for timing. Just a treat to follow.
congratulations to the team - its been an amazing period of dominance, testament to what must be a supreme amount of hard work. I think I read this elsewhere but worth reiterating its akin to watching Jordan and the Bulls doing their thing! shame you aren’t getting the same amount of recognition but thats just cycling I guess.
14:37 two riders swoop in half way through final lap, calm...let them pull for 2 secs...then pounce! Love the patience...and confidence that he will have it when he needs it! Awesome.
I did cycling for about 14 years and made it to the P1,2s and I have now been doing boxing for the past 9 years and I know deep in my heart that cycling it’s totally brutal sport and pure power, endurance and “huevos” vs boxing is Technical and físicas for 36 minutes with breaks in between. Congratulations on your win. I had asked an old pro cyclist how do know to follow the winning break and he said YOU HAVE TO GO ON EVERY BREAK!! Respectfully,
I was there to witness this in real life! Super good race. I crashed 4 times watching this video, lol. When Justin bought the breakaway back they shut down because they knew better. I wish Hunter and Cory wouldve had their personal bikes in this race, they went down due to untimely mechanicals however this win for them all their efforts were appreciated. Great team work Legion and monster riding Justin!! Continued success!! *To see this race from another angle visit ruclips.net/video/K8Qvck2XsHI/видео.html
Wow - great footage and so exciting - but where are the crowds? I agree with Justin that Crits are the way forward for the US anyway - not sure if we have these style races in the UK. Great to see a BME team doing so well . I nearly had a heart attack on some of those corners - and I'm just watching lol .. Plus I saw that power meter hit 1000 after being at around 34 when you were drafting
great coverage and camera work. Those guys were cooking. They must have been averaging around 30 to 40 mph. I bet their average watts for the entire race somewhere in the high 300's and those accelarations averaging around 1500 watts. incredible
Funny how the biggest crit race in the USA is also the most anti climatic in terms of crowd presence and spectators. Tulsa Tough or San Rafael should be the nationals race.
Cory and Hunter bikes both had mechanical issues prior to the start of the race. Bike Di2 (electric shifting) wouldn't shift the gears. The red Treks that they are riding are the loaner bikes provided by race support SRAM. Couldn't get properly adjusted on the Treks...they had less than 5 mins to get on the start line with the loaner bikes. Saddle height and other adjustments wasnt correct, etc. Both of them pulled out of the race and didnt finish the race because the loaner bikes wasnt giving them their natural comfortable feel and responsiveness of their personal bikes. They both were truly upset that their bikes went down and they raced their hearts out with the loaner bikes. Pretty bad azz, much respect! That's part of why this win was super emotional for them, the team and a few fans like myself. Check the emotion captured on my video. Great race Legion.
So what did it take? I guess you have to understand this type of event to know, because I'm just like yeah you got first place and I know you gotta be first to win :p
I feel like any cyclist can appreciate the strength, endurance, tactics and team work in this video. Don't have to ride crits / road bikes only to understand.
@@8rk Strength and endurance for sure...past that I have no clue. That's like saying anyone who watches sports can appreciate the tactics and team work of cricket. I need some splainin'.
Michael, What I would say this video showed: It takes a great team to stay organized, stick to the gameplan and bring back a break that is 20sec out. I also think it showed you need a 1600+w sprint.
Anyone think the Dude in the Orange Jersey (pardon me if I didnt know his name) was riding a little( lot) reckless through those corners? hope he was calling inside.
No. Not reckless at all. Just aggressive and clean. He held his line every time. And since the other riders were solid too, they weren’t overly spooked by the divebombs and everyone made it thru the corners. Good hard clean racing!
i know right. that downtown looked like a ghost town with abandoned buildings. wonder why they chose that location two years in a row. having it in Socal would have been way better.
Oh boy where to start Let's just go with the obvious and leave it at that It's a race, why are you going to spend energy when it's not needed? This isnt a group ride, this is a national championship, and justin has the best sprint by far over anyone else. His best chance to win is to stay at the front of the race and unleash his sprint. If hes a breakaway rider then sure he should work and try and stay away. But hes not. Hes got a massive sprint and an incredible ability to repeatedly attack over and over.
Certainly good cyclist but the team work in this this is another level.
Mike Morris that’s what we pride ourselves on
@@nationsnumber1beast It certainly works.
No doubt, superb heads up racing and team work! Congrats on your championship!
A "good" cyclist? Yeah - a repeat national champion is a good cyclist - hilarious 😂

I'm going to go put my heart rate monitor on and watch this again. I'm trying to see something. this was intense
My heart rate definitely spiked that last lap. Anticipation was killer even though we all know the outcome.
Agree with D Charles over there. Some race commentary would be perfect for us viewers to understand what's going on in the race. The ones that u did with the race commentators themselves were awesome. A back camera would a great add-up too. All in all, ur vids are so sick.
I watched this while riding my trainer. Kept me motivated, in the game and training when its cold outside. Thanks
"I'll help when I can" LOL gottem
I chuckled at that too. Smart.

Tat overtake before the last corner is such a crucial and brave attack !
Can’t get enough of this, you kill it. Wish I had the confidence in those corners like that.
That reel in from your angle was sweet to watch. Glad I could make things at least a bit interesting for ya😂
Not even a huge cycling fan or anything but damn I love watching the intensity of their races :D These guys fucking give it...amazes me everytime

By far the best race and race video yet. Great job Legion. Outstanding competition made a awesome race. Todd
I'd love to hear some commentary for a little more context - it looks like you lapped the field and sat in for the last bit and then took the sprint?
D Charles Let’s do it Cory

Holy moly. I could only wish to average 47-50kph on a bike!
