American Dipper - Winter | 4k

A partner to the icy banks. American dippers thrive amidst winter’s harshest conditions, plunging in and out of the rushing water, filling their bills with various invertebrates. After several hours in the field, plenty of soaked equipment and bruises from slippery creek beds, the second episode of my American dipper series is complete. The next episode will feature spring, as runoff from melting snow in the mountains increases, bringing significant change to these small aquatic birds.
