Incredible fossil and excellent prep by your Dad. Can't tell you how much I would love to find something anywhere near this when I revisit with my daughter in February. I've asked Santa for some prep tools in anticipation! I am fascinated with the videos you upload!
Thanks so much, we really appreciate that! Sounds great regarding your tools, I hope you get what you asked for! Glad you’re enjoying our videos, thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏻🎄🦕🔬🦖
Gosh that crinoid is truly stunning! The side with the ammonites looks like a work of art. At some point, could you show us how you polish the pyrite nodules into the golden spheres?
Thank you, it’s so intricate isn’t it! Especially with the ammonites present. We’ll certainly bear that in mind for future videos, thanks for the idea 🙏🏻
Wow you guys upload almost everyday. Very qualitative videos and nice finds ! If i would live there, i definetly would spend alot of time searching at the beach aswell. Like i do with minerals, shells, mushrooms and plants. its definetly an addicting sense not even necessary related to geology or palentology for me. Thanks for sharing and friendly greetings from Switzerland :)
Great video. Thanks for sharing your hunt with us. I like how your dad prepped the fossil by hollowing out the mouth of the ammonite shell. I hadn’t seen that before.
so my nephew was at the north sea in germany for holiday and he brought home some stones he liked. given the shape of the stones he picked i showed him this channel and now he's all into fossils
That crinoid is a wonder - beautiful prep and makes a nice change from the ammonites . Saw a similar vinous from Lyme Regis recently - on a hand sized pebble and equally astonishing to see . Great finding !
Thank you, it’s nice to see a change from the ammonites every now and again isn’t it, we will try to vary it up a bit more in upcoming videos as well. They really are lovely specimens 🔬🎄🦖🦕
My biggest Hildi is 5 1/2 inches and I managed to fully prep it both sides right to the centre it has pride of place among my other fossils in my collection 😀
Sounds great! Well done 🦕 We do offer that service, please contact us at yorkshirefossils@mail.com with some photos and me/Shae will get back to you, thanks 🙏🏻
Sorry, friend, if you may know what type of animal fossils are actually in this video because I see too many of them to see if there are other types of rocks in them
Could you do a video explaining all the different rock/pebble colors? Thanks! Your channel is wonderful.
Thank you for the video idea, we will certainly bear that in mind! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching

Great video as always. You should make a video or a book about all the ammonites you can find in Yorkshire, or does it already exist?
Thanks so much! Books like that already exist and more are being made 📚 There’s lots to know and lots of unknowns still to work out!

What’s the largest in diameter ammonite that you or your family ever found?
Hmmm I think it’s around 1.5-2 feet across but it’s not 3-Dimensional unfortunately!
@@YorkshireFossils Wow! Still amazing.
Got any trilobytes?.
We don’t unfortunately!
