Ahh Scorpius. One of surely a scant few beings in the universe who could say to you "I beg you please with a cherry on top" and still somehow come across utterly terrifying.
It’s amazing how Crichton made Moya, a living ship designed as a peaceful being, to be the most dangerous and powerful ship in the universe with this weapon.
This is something I thought if they made a follow up movie could be a secondary plot. The builders come after chriton and moya who's a living sentient ship decides to ignore the builders wishes etc showing the love she has for the crew after everything.
the ship is actually just the power source, chritons mind was the CPU running the weapon, with the machine acting as an interface for him to...interface with Moiya. the act of closing the black hole also removed all his knowledge about wormholes.
I love this scene. Chrichton knows just how *terrible* this device is. Even if he knows it's necessary at this point, no one but him can appreciate the utter devastation this is capable of creating. It's this horrible, horrible thing that he has been *forced* into using. And making Scorpius beg for it is just icing on the cake.
Beg! "i beg you". Not good enough, say please! "Please." Pretty please! "Pretty please" with a cherry on top "with a cherry, on, top" i wonder how many takes they must have had for Wayne Pygram to keep a straight face in that scene lol
Everything AFTER this part is sooooo much cooler, though. When everyone realizes how dangerous this technology is. I just wish somebody had THAT part on RUclips... :(
Bro made Scorpius beg and basically held the entire system hostage until they achieved peace. What an absolute legend! 😂 Man.. I only recently watched the entire series and it was great. Some of the greatest Sci Fi I have ever seen. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to find anything else that hit quite like FarScape did. Truly a great experience that I’m now sad is over.
I love farscape. I love scorpius. Please...pretty please...with a cherry on top. He's getting what he wants - he doesn't have the slightest clue what John's talking about, he doesn't care - he'll say anything, do anything, to get the thing that he is absolutely convinced has to be done. For all the ego and bluster he carries throughout the series, it's that unflappable sense of righteousness that he carries with him that fuels every line, every delivery - Wayne Pygram (sp?) buried himself in that part, and I love him for it. One of my favorite villains. Right up there with Cancer Man and Darth Vader. ...also, do you notice, he delivers "with a cherry on top" even before John has finished the line? And yet, given previous farscape reactions to various earth-specific references John makes all the time, you know that Scorpius has no idea what a cherry is or why it would be on top of what, but he says it anyway, without any hesitation, so fast John can't even finish the sentence - perhaps I'm reading a little too much into it, but that part of the delivery is the part that always really, really gets me - It's LOADED with significance precisely because Scorpius can't possibly know what it means except what it apparently means to John, and he's soooo ready to give John what he wants that he does it anyway...*shivers*...love this show. Farscape wasn't always perfect, but when it was great, it was magic.
Scorpius will threaten to get what he wants, will kill and torture to get what he wants, but he has no ego or pride when it comes to his goals. He knows that Crichton will give him what he wants if he begs, so he will beg. It is very interesting.
Actually Scorpius probably knows what a cherry is, and what to do with it. Between Harvey and the implant he knows much about humans and earth. He also said 'pretty please with a cherry on top' in the series before.
Scorpius stares at John afterward....All it cost was two enemy fleets, one planet, and the sanctimonious conscience of one human....Crichton, I'd call that a bargain.
find a penny pick it up, now double it, you got two, double it again you got 4. Now double it 27 time and you got a million dollars and the IRS all over your ass, round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows but it all adds up
He just activated that weapon to convince two armadas into peace to save the universe, not so they'd leave him alone(though that was what he personally wanted). He wasn't insane.
DarthRushy Actually, he used the weapon to show both sides that it's one that should never be developed or used! Peace was just a result of both sides not wanting to die
He didn't even know for sure whether the two sides would be ABLE to stop the reaction. Considering what was happening to him throughout the series, all the people screwing with his head, torturing him and his loved ones... I'd say there was a certain amount of snappage involved. Not trying to belittle him or anything. I personally would have snapped LONG before that point.
well she only could because it was experiment ;) Normally leviathans could only make small leviathans, not gunships! Moya isn't different in that aspect.
@@vorshack8968 Warframe is the game, Railjack is what the ship is called (as a class) and voidhole is the ship ability/weapon that allows the creation of a singularity.
Thats a bit like the Lexx. It was the most powerfull ship, too. But it had only the one big weapon. Hence big problems in simple fights, and it showed what happens, if such a ship is in the wrong hands (clue, one distroyed universe, destroyed heaven, hell [it makes sense in context] and earth...)
Well I think Lexx was designed to be an aircraft carriar as well as a superweapon. So it would have been guarded by an army of stingers. Plus I imagine there'd be tonnes of guards onboard.

This is basically just Crichton saying " here you go, here's everything you wanted. Oh look, I broke the universe. Happy now?"
This is why Scorpius is awesome: he's an overlord of fleets and armies, but he'll plead on command for what he believes in.
Yes. Other villains would let their ego get in the way. Scorpius can beg.

The music for that whole ordeal with the wormehole is just incredible.
Ironic that for a moment Moya was the most powerful ship in the galaxy.
Yeah, that's right. Somebody should put whole scene of weapon launch. It is moment of pure awesomness.
Only Scorpius could make "pretty please with a cherry on top" sound dramatically poignant

Can someone please post the scene at the end of PK Wars where John's in the coma, Aeryn places the baby in his arms/next to him and he wakes up?
@abraxas365 good news, even if it is way too late: Farscape: "Wormhole Weapons Make...Armageddon"
tyoe that in, the whole scene is there.
Never saw this episode of Stargate.
FarScape [gate]
John did it...LIKE A BAUS
How come John Crichton didn't go insane after 4 years of total insanity?
If you consider insanity and sanity to be roughly circular and not linear than eventually the insane return to sanity and vice versa.
Two main actors from star gate? What is the story behind this this? I'm interested.
Farscape, a different series entirely ofthe same era. The two cast made the move, partly to draw in the Farscape audience.
It's the other way around. It's two main actors from Farscape, that is in Stargate

Or did they use her Starburst capabilities to power it?
John gave Pilot the plans for it, and the Starburst energy was likely used to power it
