I saw him in the viva Las Vegas where I was a kid... I find him at that age, around 10 very sallow and I want to know how much so I bought his vinyl and I like his first songs, I find him very attractive... In time I forgot to check on his life when internet has changed the world... This year with the role of Austin Butler I remember my thought when I was 10!! In that period in this part of the planet we don't have access to any kind of story out of the border... Now I'm simply stunning about his life, his beauty all over/ inside out. As for his Voice!!!.... God have mercy 🙏❣️💔
I am 41 years of age i was 6 when Elvis died my mother always brought me up listening to Elvis i can sing like Elvis but will never be as good as him I know practically every word to every song he sang . I sang my 4 children to sleep with his songs and as the grew older I thought they would grow out of it but my children never have and they are 9/11/15/19 so my point is no matter how old or young you are Elvis will touch the hearts of all ages enough said I think
Thank you for posting this, it just shows how talented this man was. His voice is filled with emotion and is so powerful. No one will ever come close to his greatness. Elvis is still the King, he may have left the building but his presence is still here and stronger than ever.
Hi, yes portocul, I was in Manchester on 26th Feb, amazing, packed with young and old, it just PROVES WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT ELVIS IS AFTER ALMOST 33 YEARS STILL THE MOST LOVED, ADORED ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME AND HIS FAN BASE IS GROWING. LONG MAY HE REIGN.
the best singer ever im 44 and his songs still pull at my heart strings i always listen to his music sometimes it brings a tear to my eye other times it makes me smile always on my mind elvis the king 4 ever
Have LOVED this guy ever since I was 10 yrs old, and it hasn't gone away....I STILL listen to him and CAN'T believe how AMAZING HE IS!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!
I love this song!!! Thank you so much for putting the version I listen to while I'm running at the gym with. Elvis lives within all of his true fans!!! Now and forevermore.
Absolutely fabulous. I was listening to the radio as I was making my breakfast. We always listened to the radio. Radio one was my favourite station. just quietly listening as one does. An announcement came on that Elvis Presley had died. My knees buckled under me and I nearly fainted. First and last time ever. Oh I was such a fan. What a sad loss.
Today, tomorrow, forever E you are the man and always will be. Noone willever be able to replace your music or your style. What you've given to us is simply irreplacable. There will always be one Elvis. Thank you so much!!!!!!
fortunate enough to be able to say I saw Elvis sing this song with the sweet inspirations. His legacy will never die. one of the Greatest entertainers of all times
I edicate the words of an Abba song TO Elvis, "Thank you for the music , the song I`m singing, Thanks for all the joy they`re bringing" How true, I cannot imagine how my life would have been without Elvis in it. Thank you so very very much Elvis, you were, are and always will be the greatest.
his performance is so perfect that I can't find the words to describe it. Elvis' voice was amazing. As I understand, this performance released as this same version from the concert. So you can't to make better the best. R.I.P Elvis Presley we'll miss you
"E" was always/is/forever will be the true stud of entertainment! No other artist can sing country, rock, pop, then gospel in a single concert and keep a crowd entranced like Elvis.
Charming, sweet song performed by the greatest performer of all times, Elvis Presley!I'll remember you forever my gorgeous boy and I miss you so much honey! RIP my beloved Elvis! ♥♥♥♥♥
There are very few people that can sing Rock-n-Roll, Country, Easy Listening, or anything else and make it sound like music from heaven. He had everything a man could ever want but true happiness. God took him from us way too soon.
BJ Thomas had the big hit with this song but after listening to Elvis Thomas is forgotten. Elvis was able to bring out all the emotion in every single note. He lived these songs.
The power of Elvis. Elvis understood live performances and how to make 'moments'. While the studio recording are good, the live performances stand the test of time.
BJ Thomas is not forgotten. He has a smooth immediately recognized voice. He sings this song so beautifully. BUT, Elvis cannot be matched. He just can't. The great thing is, we can love and listen to both of them.
Surrounded by fantastic musicians and vocalists he was truly a great entertainer and gave his all to his audience. To those who worked with him that are still living,I say THANK YOU. You are all legends in American music history.
totally agreed! i mean this is live and it just sounds perfect!! there´ll never be a voice like his or music like that again but that is also what makes it even more precious!! R.I.P elvis
The 'Elvis Arrangement' which included the incredible backing vocals of The Sweet Inaspirations and The Imperials created a wall of sound and an experience we will never see in our lifetimes. magical
I was 18 and expecting my first son when It came over the radio that the King was dead. Could hardly believe it. I cried then at the thought of him dieing alone despite all the fans he had. Me and my elder sister were big fans and had all his albums.
He may have been 'alone', but he wasn't lonely. He had his super beautiful and super oblivious fiance in the room next door. The only hope there was that fateful night was that maybe Ginger would've checked on him sooner. The King is gone. His name will live forever.
What a great song, singer, back up singers, music perfect and live. I was 13 in 1955, I heard all of his songs for the 50's. He wouldn't say this. Elvis was the King of Rockn'Roll and everything else he sang.
i could never put to words how much i love this performance ... one of the finest ever from a genius - how to deliver a truth in melody through the universal language of music ... ..Elvis directs as he performs with the most amazing precision
I have grown up with the awesome voice of ep, and not just that, the professional performance of a great great man. I am 39. so sad to see my children are not going to be able to enjoy such pure soul music.......... love you Elvis Presley and your family
ELVIS was an amazing human being,,i just cant understand how special god could make one person, his music reached world wide,,,,there is and will be only one ELVIS
Occasionally, and only occasionally, a song comes along and it is so touching and magnificent that it brings tears to your eyes. This is one such song/performance by Elvis and it will certainly blow the X factor judges away.
Endless listening, Amazing Man Amazing talent, so much untruth written over the years, unless you was near to him you couldn't even start to realise what a caring individual he was, taken over by the grooling night after night Vegas performances 2 a night for 3 years @ 1.5 hrs each, no wonder the man burned himself out!!!!
+David Birch I just listened the other night to an interview where his guys said sometimes he did 3 shows a night, 7 days a week. Even when he was sick, had a fever, he was expected to get on stage. One time his guys said he was almost comatose and they dunked Elvis head in ice water to get him more conscious so he would go on with the show that evening--not his guys that did this to Elvis but 2 others that made that happen. I think Elvis was unhappy for too long and it caught up. A very sad story and for such a multi-talented individual who had earned a special place in people's hearts, but had too many of the wrong people surrounding him. Yes, Elvis was a most giving man--he never forgot his roots and poverty and was always wanting to share and make people happy. Even in the 1950's as a child I knew that about Elvis. He never changed in wanting to help people. I would recommend Elvis: A generous man. Shows the true nature of Elvis. He loved doing for people and giving a helping hand. Reminds me of the song "Let Me Help" :)
MaryElizabeth99 You and David Birch are absolutely right.I apologize if I come between you, but I feel so bad about the tragic Elvis death. He was an immense artist and a very special human being. He was surrounded by people that were not able to understand him. They believed to help him saying always yes and closing him in a world that was not real life. Then his manager who was a good promoter, but a very bad manager. He made Elvis (and himself) rich and famous, but didn't know anything about music and the inner spiritual side of Elvis. He was feeling bad also in the beginnings later on he was hospitalized quite often.Once he had high temperature, but he wanted to perform, because he knew that fans from Perù and Japan had come; After the show, he wanted to celebrate Lisa-Marie's birthday,Priscilla saw that at the table Linda Thompson was also sitting so she, stood up and went away with the little girl who could not even cut the cake his father had ordered for her.He was sick and broken-hearted.He was exhausted by the tours and sessions the colonel booked untl his last days. One of the MM said that after such shows he didn't ever remember what songs he had performed. There would be much more to say, but I stop here, because I dont want to bother you:
+anna maria facchiano Oh, you never come between me / us !! You don't bother me Anna Maria ! We can express our thoughts on these COMMENTS. I recently purchased the DVD about Elvis generosity and it was very "moving". I already knew much of it, but did learn more about Elvis and what a very sharing and generous man he was. I also don't think most of the people around Elvis were very much in-tune with him. I'm sure he wasn't always very easy to be with, but it's just sad Elvis didn't feel that unconditional love and understanding he craved so much that he felt with his mother. All you said in your comment is so interesting, and about Lisa-Marie's birthday cake -- those kinds of things can break a sensitive heart. And after listening to Linda Thompson saying Elvis said sometimes to her he was intensely lonely, made me very sad. Reminded me of what Ginger Alden said Elvis said to her: I'm not that street out there (Elvis Presley Boulevard). If you cut me I bleed. Or the words friend Bill Medley says in his tribute song to Elvis about his mother: "A lonely pain we refused to see." Because of Elvis, I find I'm thinking of myself and how I feel about loneliness, as I live alone. My dog helps so much :) He's my man !! In Elvis later performances in Vegas, he puts words into his songs or replaces words with things that ruin the song some, but I think I know why he does these things...I think this comes from his prescription drugs, and maybe his divorce and Lisa-Marie going to Los Angeles, which had to be so difficult for Elvis. LA is far from Graceland in Tennessee. I live just south of LA and my uncle lives in Tennessee, so I know it's far.
I can not even put into words the feelings I get when I hear Elvis sing. My words could not even give him the justice he deserves. Wish I could have seen him in person. This is as close as I will ever get.
Sounded great back than and sounds even better today. A true superstar who left much much too soon. This is a fantastic clip that brings us back to a better time in the USA.
Favourite Elvis song, love this version, takes me back to my teenage years I was out of step with my mates but I didn't care then and I don't care now ELVIS IS THE KING!!!!!!
What I like about it is that although it's live and he doesn't really know the words, the song is that good that it was the only version released - not the studio one. Also, notice how he keeps the emphasise on the Sweet Inspirations? Keeping them in the spotlight!
I went to Graceland and ran into an impersonator, he asked me what my favorite Elvis song was, I told him this one, and the first thing he says is, "Oh, the one where he fucks up the words?"
....yet another amazing performance by the KING. perfection, however elvis never thought that he was good enough in so many ways, he was always searching. i truely hope he found what he was in search of. R.I.P. elvis xx
I was little (9-10) when Elvis died. My mom sat down at the kitchen table and cried and cried. I grew up listening to the King. Too young to be part of the hoopla, but...He's my favorite all-time singer and entertainer. No one is even close. A distant second is Freddie Mercury. Singers and entertainers to die for! Sex appeal like no other!
This was from Elvis' That's The Way It Is album and live show. I own the special edition of the live show on dvd and this song was omitted from it. WHY??!! It's one of his best performances ever. In the beginning of the special edition dvd Elvis clearly says that he hopes he doesn't forget the words to this song. But why leave that line in when the song was omitted? It doesn't make sense.
+gary lyons When the show was released in the movie houses I Just Cant Help Believin was shown . Then when it first ever released for public purchase in Video format it was also featured on there .
When I first heard this song is when i was on a tour through Graceland and it was on a TV up in the corners of every room that you walked through and loved the song at that moment! The first step that i took through the front door...I got goosebumps just knowing that i was walking in the same place that the King of rock and roll once walked many years before! It is the most beautiful place that i have ever been in and will never forget it!!!!R.I.P. Elvis and know Joyce and Dan in KY miss you LOTS!
Love this song. Favorite Elvis song and I love all his songs. Elvis Presley was the greatest entertainer ever because of his sincerity and pure love of song.
Almost 38 year's since elvis died and still people listen to him, timeless music and an unbelievable voice and talent that will never be matched.

fortunate enough to be able to say I saw Elvis sing this song with the sweet inspirations. His legacy will never die. one of the Greatest entertainers of all times
Wow ! clicked on this by mistake after watching a documentary on Elvis and this song is beautiful - truly at his best.
This will be my wedding song... We never forget Elvis. I wish him peace and happyness... wherever he is...

I am 76 years old. Loved Elvis since I was 19 (he was 20) & saw him perform. The greats like him last forever. Need I say more?
Beautiful song, Great voice!!!
Im 67, and grew up with Elvis's music and specials and movies. No one has ever come close to him. He was and is still the best.

So So True!! Makes you smile just watching the video.

A great song sung by Elvis Presley!
Occasionally, and only occasionally, a song comes along and it is so touching and magnificent that it brings tears to your eyes. This is one such song/performance by Elvis and it will certainly blow the X factor judges away.

yes...endless listening... ;-) He had so strong, powerful, beautiful, amazing voice!!!
David birch how right you are! We must thank col Parker who didn't really cared of him as a person but was only looking for money.

Just awesome.
Elvis was a great singer with a great voice. How many guys have said "I wish I was him"? Saddest day in history when he died. Never forget that day.
l love him to this day❤❤❤❤
This is the best as it gets. He knew what he was doing...driving the audience crazy with his charm.

i love you Elvis!!
I can not even put into words the feelings I get when I hear Elvis sing. My words could not even give him the justice he deserves. Wish I could have seen him in person. This is as close as I will ever get.
These are my favorite backup singers. He must have liked this song, because he did't slide over any words
I want you back
We don't care if you are older, we want to hear your voice
Sounded great back than and sounds even better today. A true superstar who left much much too soon. This is a fantastic clip that brings us back to a better time in the USA.
Still the BEST ever
Favourite Elvis song, love this version, takes me back to my teenage years I was out of step with my mates but I didn't care then and I don't care now ELVIS IS THE KING!!!!!!
ELVIS THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER.
Today's singers wish they had half the talent ELVIS HAD.
Cindy January yes Cindy your right there
56susieque IF ELVIS WERE ALIVE HE COULD TEACH TODAY'S ENTERTAINERS HOW TO HOLD THE AUDIENCE INTEREST.
What I like about it is that although it's live and he doesn't really know the words, the song is that good that it was the only version released - not the studio one.
Also, notice how he keeps the emphasise on the Sweet Inspirations? Keeping them in the spotlight!
AGREE.
Music ran through his veins and he was an unfolding miracle!!!! TRUE PERFECTION!!!
I just can't help believing (one more time...just one more time)
No one will ever come close to this man, he'll always be the greatest!
What a performer! I am sure he confuses the lyrics ("smiles" rather than "whispers") at 3:37 and surpresses his laughter but the moment is priceless!

thank you king elvis
I've just listened to this with cans on. Sweet, sweet sound. I feel so sad that I only know appreciate the greatness of the man. God Bless You Elvis!

I just can't help believing that you are not with us. Certainly you are in a better place you deserved it.
Love this song. Favorite Elvis song and I love all his songs.
Elvis Presley was the greatest entertainer ever because of his sincerity and pure love of song.
When music was quality and it was about the songs not the money
