That’s right we’re playing in London this week vs Sam Darnold, sounds like some sweet revenge. I actually would be okay if we lose to him! But looking forward to that one, London is a cool place, love the Tube. The trains in England are sick! Back at yah in Cleveland, I feel that will really showcase how good the OL is vs a tough Browns front.
I think taking an edge is the smart move for the Bears in the 1st rounder unless one of the top OT’s fall to them. Don’t reach for o-line help too early. There will be good players for the interior in the 2nd round.
Yeah I’m with you on that! I think it’s much more difficult, at least typically, to find edge guys on day compared to interior offensive lineman in round 2 as Day 1 starters. I certainly wouldn’t hate it if they did go OL round 1, but does depend how it works out!
I really doubt only 1 QB goes in the first round, but you never know, and I feel like it's possible with the uncertainty of the class. Anyway, watch out for these mock draft simulations lol, but hope you have a good one 😜
I say flip Felton and Thomas at least in terms of needs and where GB might go. The only reason I feel like Felton would be a bat fit is because they already have the RAC guy in Jayden Reed and even a little bit in Dontayvion wicks. They need more that all around dynamic player because Reed is going to get a lot of the short targets and swing passes because he’s a great RAC Receiver. I think right now if I had to put money on it out of the 4 WR’s GB has. Reed Stays for sure, and Wicks stays for sure. If you look at the almost comeback against Minnesota, look who was getting fed the ball. It was Wicks and Reed. Watson was out so I’ll cut him some slack, but those two boys were putting in a show after struggling prior to that moment. So in my hypothetical Watson and doubs are the odd ones out (potentially) so now it’s maybe finding a big play guy like Watson was suppose to be if he never clicks. Deone Walker is so damn intriguing but so damn scary at the same time. Stands straight up and has very poor hands most the time. I didn’t know much about Thomas, but I kinda like him now I’m ngl so I like that😂. Do you think Travis Hunter is a true dual NFL player, but if you’re the Panthers, may it be better to find a player whose simply a better WR for say Bryce Young if he still stays? Hunter is dynamic but he’s a far better corner than WR. He’s still good at WR but not on the same level. Then you have to question whether or not he could genuinely do both at the NFL level and I think it becomes much less a talk about his talent but can he physically do it. Look yes he’s doing it at college but even some of the most gifted and talented players come in to the NFL and it doesn’t translate, or it’s not as solid and they’re only focussing on one position. Now you got a similar guy, who has to focus on now being great at 2 positions because in the nfl to be worthy of a number one pick you can’t just be good, you gotta be elite. Then lastly you have to factor in, can he physically with stand the toll on his body of playing both sides in a full NFL season? Kid is going to be worn down by his rookie contract if he’s a two way. Milroe to the giants is horrible for everyone. Giants don’t know a thing about QB’s (they didn’t even draft Eli) and Milroe is a raw QB so that just sounds like disaster bound to happen but it’s interesting lol.
This is why I love bouncing ideas with yah, because I didn’t even look at it that way with the GB receivers. That makes complete sense so I should of probably gone for a guy like Elic Ayomanor instead with his big play ability who was on the board at the time. I will say Reed and Wicks are so good!! Wicks just gotta work on the drops a bit still, but get open regularly. I think Travis Hunter is rare, and I’m not talking like a steak. I believe he can play both sides in the NFL, but I do agree he should play corner mainly and WR in a rotational role. It will be interesting to see which team drafts him and how they deploy him, but I personally think you have to play him on both sides. With Carolina being in the situation they are in, it will be tough for Scott Fitterer to get to take another QB. They could get a new GM this season, which I think is very possible, so we’ll have to see how that transitions, and what Dave Canales wants to do. 😂 BOOM ROASTED!! Going at the Giants, but hey I think this could be Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll’s last chance!! They could go and try to trade for a QB, but not sure if they could do that financially unless it’s a QB on a rookie deal since they are already paying DJ. Giants are in a tough situation man lol!
Aye I just checked Ayomanor’s game against Colorado and color me intrigued😂. He’s solid and I think he provides some good route running/release with some decent speed. Watching him not only beat Hunter on a few reps but also out muscle him was a little eye opening in a good way. I think that what GB needs is that big physical WR who has some burst. The guy that can box out in the red zone type situation but also bust out for a big gain. Man I love Wicks so much and I think he’s easily got the highest achievable ceiling out of anyone in that WR room. His drops is all mental and it looks like he’s putting a TON of pressure on himself and you can see it with his reactions. That’s going to be something to me at least that comes with age because outside of maybe Jordan Morgan he’s the youngest player in that offense right now. People joke about it all the time now that he’s really going through that Davante Adams Arc😂, but seriously Wicks is going to be the guy, he just needs to trust himself and have that confidence. People don’t talk about how insane the amount of separation he gets per route and he needs to be talked about more. Love the dude too because he seems like the quiet put the head down kinda guy. I was a day 1 believer prior to the draft in 23’ and will be this dudes biggest fan until the career ends, love that guy💀😂. Good man cause I’m a medium-medium rare kinda guy😂. I think he could be used in certain packages like that and I agree that it’s gonna be likely a non QB pick, BUT, it goes back to what I was saying if it’s better to take just a purely offensive guy or a guy like Travis Hunter? Because Hunter would be a great Corner, but that does little for the hopeful development of Young…..while only being I think an alright receiver. Put it this way Hunter is a top 5 at least top 10 corner pick, but maybe like a low end first maybe even 2nd round WR pick. Whether the GM or Owners or whoever gets canned there, it feels like a situation where you got to get a certified offensive weapon with the top pick because if it’s not for Young next year, it’s for whoever the starting QB is in 2025. When you got a young QB the only way you can justify defense round one and especially that early is if you already got the offense covered or if the talent just purely does not match. Honestly that could be the case with defense lining the top more so, but if I’m the Panthers and I know they won’t do this, but shoot I’d drop down 3-4 spots to get my offensive weapon while also netting more value so I can make this team actually competent. As a player I really really really like Travis Hunter and I think even if Carolina went that route you can’t hate it, but what could is it to have a generational talent player if your franchise has no clear direction if that makes sense? It just seems like an easy way to waste talent so that’s why I’m on team “create a legit offense” and build from there. Yeah They’re likely both gone which sucks for Daboll cause he seems like a good guy, but that’s life at the end of the day. We could offer them one Malik Willis for say….a 2nd?🥴 But no logistically you’re right, but I could see a scenario where they went and got a vet (Sam Darnold?) cut ties with DJ’a contract and bite the bullet for a season and in a similar vein work to just really fortify that offense. Hit up Mehki Becton in FA and put him at RG or even LG with Andrew Thomas, maybe consider moving Neal inside, find another tackle or weapon to pair with Nabers. I’m always on the boat of “there will be more QB’s next year” so unless you are just 1000% sold that this dude is legit, make that offense legit because when that guy comes around next time that you’re sold on, you don’t run the risk of burning a kid out like they did with DJ or like the Panthers are doing with BY. Shit they should honestly say fuck it and wait for Arch. Time is a flat circle and that’s the next Cannon event💀😂
@josephlaeger6473 I think Ayomanor will be an interesting prospect cause he’s gonna get the Xavier Legette type treatment I think this off-season. But he does seem like a great addition to there offense, and I could also see them going after a Tre Harris type as well! I hope Travis plays corner mostly, but that is an interesting way to look at it. And I will say, I personally agree with you about figuring out your offense first before working hard on your defense. Mainly cause I feel like you can sign guys cheaper and play tough nosed defense even if your defense isn’t great, scheme and effort drive a defense. Look at the Packers drafting defense almost every year, but could barely get inside the top 15 of defensive rankings. Goes to show defensive coaching is huge, so I am with you 100% with that philosophy. That’s actually why I like what the Falcons have done as a team. They have gone so heavy on the offense and fixed the defense with good coaching and sneaky free agents. I think Daboll has potential to be a great coach. I hope they continue to give him the opportunity. It’s not all been perfect, but I think it’s time they need to pull the Falcons maybe lol. Pick up a QB in FA and draft one, do something!! They have to figure this out cause there offense has been bad for years. This might be the best it’s been with Nabers holding down the team lol. Haha watch out for Arch!! Man the 27 draft could be legendary!! I think Arch will pull a Manning and go 4 years, but the receivers and EDGE rushers in that class about to be sick as well!!!
I almost feel like the Packers problem on defense is two fold. Were there some bad picks? Oh absolutely, but some poor coaching over that time hasn’t helped either. I just want to know what happened to the Packers pass rush….Ive pointed it out and even a couple of guys covering GB brought it up how it looks like they’re trying to get players to rush the edge despite none of them being that kind of athlete. Then a lot of people will say “they’re not good players then”. Well that’s not the case. You don’t need to be able to bend the edge in order to be a good and effective DE but I am just at a lost of what happened to everyone when everyone knows there’s talent there. Nobody but the falcons needs to pull a falcons….shoot maybe they can make a trade for Penix though💀😂. I think Dabol is a good football guy I just don’t know about HC. Sounds like 27 is gonna be the perfect class for GB💀😂
@@josephlaeger6473 🤣🤣🤣 yeah watch out Falcons going to draft another QB lol! But just imagine if the Packers find a way to get Jeremiah Smith or Ryan Williams ☠ You know I was watching the game vs the Rams and even through out the season have been wondering where the heck is Rashan Gary at times!! Van Ness has had some moments same with Preston and Kingsley, but they lack a lot of consistency. Heck Karl Brooks might of been their best pass rusher this week, but I do feel like they are missing that speed rusher off the edge right now!
In this mock, I had him coming back to college. Each draft I typically try to have one QB coming back just because it seems like there is also one guy that comes back. With that being said, Allar has the elite power arm, sneaky scramble ability, and I think he does a good job working through the field. He’s definitely a field general type, and I also love the story, seems like a hard worker. Accuracy has to improve, has some occasional decision making issues, there is definitely some stiffness to his game with his wind up and just overall athleticism. Also wonder if at times he can elevate the offense consistently. Penn State doesn’t have the greatest group of weapons it seems, so I can give him a bit of a pass there. He’s a really interesting and overall very polarizing. I like Allar tho, certainly has one of the higher ceilings. Do you like Allar?
You don’t think so? I will say Brock Bowers is basically a WR, so maybe they feel comfortable with Bowers, Mayer, Meyers, and Tucker next season, but I could still see them going after a WR, probably not 1st round tho.
You think all the picks were bad or just some in particular? I feel like everyone has different rankings, but it is so early in the process. I'm definitely not 100%, but I have watched the film and games tho of these players and can have a discussion on players you disagree on.
Outstanding. I bet this took a minute. Good luck in London!
