There's 3 of them (of course) and the full set makes skydiving not only fun but super fast navigationally. Like, faster than tulin fast. Additionally, the great fairy set bonus is immaculate. Hover stones take a second to activate, allowing rockets to boost them up before the hoverstone takes over. Fans however also take a while to provide any lift, so the hoverstone will have already kicked in before they can do anything
pro tip: there are colosseums in the depths, they give stuff, You found one of them I'm pretty sure, but they all give armor, and some of which you might be interested in

For some reason, hover stones don’t work with fans, rockets do. Also, construct horns can be used for the dispenser instead of charges

In the sky maze while gliding you can tap the dive button and float. It saves stamina and it works better with the glide suit.
