I love that these guys are doing so much outside of their Taskmaster season. Their chemistry made them some of the best contestants in any Taskmaster season internationally. Love their friendship, and this was so entertaining to watch.
I have a feeling that Guy is really enjoying getting a taste of the power that Paul wields on taskmaster 😆 Really entertaining stuff, and David was the highlight as usual
I was introduced to Guy via the till death do us Blart. Now he's on my favorite season of any Taskmaster. The podcast was great 😁. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do next.
My brain fucking exploded when you said that holy shit I started watching taskmaster because griffin recommended it on his podcast with Rachel and now he has a friend on it!!!!!
Guy's pronunciation and/or mic is half the challenge of this Bee. I was right there with Leslie hearing Gavante. Once I heard the definition I knew it was Gavotte, but still heard Gavante 😅
Urzila's rant on 9:17 just killed me with laughter. I just finished their season of taskmaster and this cast the best chemistry, they all have their own flavor of chaos and I can watch them for multiple series doing tasks 🤣🤣
When Laura was asked to say a word @10:27 I was like „Hey, wouldn‘t it be fun if it was Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychywrndrobwllllantisiliogogogoch?“ -- and then she brings that exact word? 😂😂
Crazy watching him talk about the failed efforts to turn this into a tv show after the successful effort to turn it into a tv show. Also, Guy never actually spelled exacerbating and im sure he just meant exacerbating but his sentence threw david off, but by not giving the correct spelling we can't really know.
Love the linguistic cameos from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu!
This was so fun to come across. Really enjoyed tm from nz here in usa. Then this popped up. I just love David's expressions! His smile lights up my phone. Everyone is great, and great together. Best all!
Just discovered this. Was really fun to watch as non natvie english speaker from europe! I did expect the Kiwi accent to make it harder for me, but it seems the words were equally difficult for the "contistents"😂. Fun fact: spelling challenges are not a thing in german and italian. (Because in both languages words are pretty much written as they sound, and the same sound is always written the same way wiht very few exceptions that are easier to remember)
I suddenly feel really good about my spelling ability haha, and this was quite entertaining. I'll check out some old episodes too, thanks for the stream upload!
What word was David assigned at 35:02? It sounds like “exasirpating,” which I (like David!) initially interpreted as “exacerbating” (i.e. making worse), but since that was apparently not the case, is it possible that Guy was mispronouncing exasperating (i.e. frustrating - see 36:30) in a way that made the word impossible to spell? If so, David deserves retrospective bonus points and Guy may wish to consult a language coach before this otherwise delightful show makes its triumphant way to TV!
I wanted to make fun of your spelling skills and/or lack of… but as someone on the loser side of life -- glad y’all became friends post show!!! Loving season 2… and if your ever in California I maybe promise not to stalk any of you… hashtag no promises… jk 🖖🏼
WOW poor James Acaster :D Dude tried so hard just to get dissed on the other side of the world :D Also the NZ accent really fucks them up. Impossible to know what to use when I and E sound exactly the same :P
I thought you guys locked down your whole country so you didn’t have to lock down individually in your homes. Hope it wasn’t a long lockdown, and hope you were all ok.
What does Urzila say at 13:15? "English is quite [???] as a language." I thought maybe "limiting" but I know English has way more words than a lot of other languages so that wouldn't make sense
Korean has more but also English objectively is the worst to learn so it's limiting in that regard. Exceptions to every pronunciation/spelling rule. Ch in chair vs chemistry. Cough/Rough/Through/Enough. Etc. Signed, An ESL tutor who apologizes a lot. Or apologises? I actually don't know how NZ spells it which kinda proves my point lol. But seriously. Three languages in a trench coat.
Loved the contestants and Paul, but Jeremy is definitely the weak link. He's too wooden and his scoring seems odd at best. How many BJs did Matt give Jeremy for the seemingly biased scoring?
I love that these guys are doing so much outside of their Taskmaster season. Their chemistry made them some of the best contestants in any Taskmaster season internationally. Love their friendship, and this was so entertaining to watch.
what else have they done together?!
Idk but they could get a movie deal
@@nicholashunt5760 They did a live standup show together with Paul a few days ago unless that was cancelled
Not just internationally. One of the best seasons and best lineup of Taskmaster period, including the UK version.
@@JoeJoeSkates that’s what they said. Internationally means all around the world…
Guy's face when they all decided to team up together was hilarious. Just staring at them in fascination like, "wow, nature is truly incredible."
I didn't know any of them before Taskmaster 2, but now I'm in love with all of them, seriously, they are all just so amazing!
The same, minus Matt.
Knew david from is side-role over at viva la dirt league, but hell...all of them charming in their own way
amazing watching this knowing now that the TV version is into it's 2nd season
I have a feeling that Guy is really enjoying getting a taste of the power that Paul wields on taskmaster 😆
Really entertaining stuff, and David was the highlight as usual
I wish Paul could have been a contestant on this. And dressed as Abe Lincoln for good measure.
i am *IN LOVE* with this cast
I second this statement!
ursula threatening to reveal the master chef winner 😂
What a heroic coming together to achieve the monumental spelling of ephemeral for the zero points. It was beautiful
Guy: “Matt, NO BEANS! David, do you, brother.”
Everyone: Correct.
Team, you were indefatigable and well done on leaving with the score you all came with. 10/10
Weirdest pronunciation of _indefatigable_ I've ever heard.
I was introduced to Guy via the till death do us Blart. Now he's on my favorite season of any Taskmaster. The podcast was great 😁. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do next.
Omg i knew I recognized Guy’s voice from somewhere! Never would have figured out that it was from till death do is blart
Ah, I see you are a person of culture as well!!
My brain fucking exploded when you said that holy shit I started watching taskmaster because griffin recommended it on his podcast with Rachel and now he has a friend on it!!!!!
this setup reminded me of the Abraham Lincoln challenge, which was 💯
Guy's pronunciation and/or mic is half the challenge of this Bee. I was right there with Leslie hearing Gavante. Once I heard the definition I knew it was Gavotte, but still heard Gavante 😅
I pictured something like Gauvaught, but have never heard the word before
I knew heard the word in classical music education. Everyone who was taught be Suzuki method learned Bach's Gavotte in G minor at some point.
That's the Lazenby coming through
One of the best taskmaster seasons ever! Love this 💘💜💛💚🧡💘

Guy was a great moderator amidst the chaotic yet fantastic bunch
Excited to watch this, but mostly just want to say what an amazing series of TM you all are a part of. It's a true bright spot
Crazy watching him talk about the failed efforts to turn this into a tv show after the successful effort to turn it into a tv show.
Also, Guy never actually spelled exacerbating and im sure he just meant exacerbating but his sentence threw david off, but by not giving the correct spelling we can't really know.
David's partner emerging from the jungle to give him a snack sent me!
when was that?
@@MarcMansfield 21:53
We saw his gf on taskmaster, I don’t think that’s the same person?
@@pigpie03 it was filmed months ago, whomst knows
In the stolen item task its evident David had like 3-4 flat mates, also in the same task Laura stole his girlfriend and the room-mate was male.
feel fitting that I watched this at 4am, the energy makes feels like it was filmed at 4am too ahahhaha amazing stuff
The oxford English dictionary are busily adding this stream as the updated example for clusterf*ck. I loved it though
I think it's fair to say that these guys were last in spelling class but first in being a legend
Love the linguistic cameos from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu!

“I’m gonna break your bones I know you’re old.”
I look forwards to the inevitable 'Math Heath' math challenge.
Matt Heath's Math Heat
This might be the best cast of Taskmaster worldwide.
36:14 the affection in his voice!!
I suddenly feel really good about my spelling ability haha, and this was quite entertaining. I'll check out some old episodes too, thanks for the stream upload!
I feel like I fell down a rabbit hole of taskmaster s2 and now I'm here!!! Honestly you all are so comforting to me :)
"Screw you guys, I'm on Zoom calls all the time. But my assistant took the day off."
Thank you all for this--you're all outstanding! Well, maybe not at spelling, but there's more to life than spelling.
I would fund a tv show with Guy hosting comedians spelling things. For real
Guy's mispronunciation of indefatigable had me yelling at the screen each time he said it.
didn't expect the Tim Batt rule to be this relevant without Tim being present lol
As always, the best spelling bees are about teamwork.
This is incredible! Thanks Guy ☺️
We love love love your show on TV3 its the one thing we look forward to on Thursdays. Looking forward to the next season!!

It's part of the joke.
exasperating
I also was wondering that. It’s all in fun but fun could be funner if the words were pronounced correctly.
I didn't know any of you before watching the NZ Taskmaster but you're all awesome :) from England.
hi mate 👋🏻 welcome
Ditto, but I'm from the US. :)
Finding this made my night! It makes me happy seeing everyone having fun together 😀
Around 36:00, is David's one exasperated? Because I didn't recognise it as a word either!
NO WONDER DAVID WAS CONFUSED, GUY WAS SAYING 'EXASPERATED' WRONG
Heard guy mention this idea on an old friendzone, and had to see if he'd followed through with it. Fantastic.
This was adorable!
Just hangout all the time but David has to talk more because I love him!!!!
This is so brilliant.
Absolute legends.
That was one of the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. Well done all of you 😂
Oh my gosh this was beyond fun to watch

Great to see the masterchef crew on live television again, happy birthday to jake
Wonderful and hilarious even though I don't understand most of the cultural references.
absolute mutiny by the end
Awesome
Greetings from España, the country where I currently reside
Facken fantastic group!!!
Its like the Special Olympics of spelling bees and bloody hilarious.Even all 4together just as bad as any individual lol
Ole Guy "Single Bite Apples" Montgomery
I feel like Laura could actually do Bart. Her voice already has that nasal sound.
Thanks for making me laugh a lot.. from the Melbourne Lockdown :D
They should just do a version of Cats Countdown
Love this idea
indefatigable was correct!?
Love Laura’s image, I’ve never seen the pink outfit and tiara without the stereotypical ditzy personality
Yesss, love you all! 💗
See, I heard peer when the actual word was pear. NZ accent confused me.
We don't say logorrhea in Norway, we just say mouth-diarrhea...
After Season 2 of TM it went down hill because they were just so magic.
So hard in a New Zealand accent ... Pear could have been "pair", "peer" or "pier"!
Lovely to see the show in this format
Urzila interrupts too much
In New Zealand, how many homonyms for pear are there, pare, peer, pier ....?
Of course Matt was the one who was late
"I can spell scissors!"
My type of people
When is this bad boy hitting the TV screens
Lowkey want Urzila's pen...
SLEIGHT of hand is a thing?!? Omg, I feel so learned.
It's magic!
when he said exacerpated did he mean exasperated
comfortably the worst batch of spellers we've seen so far
First 2 and a half minutes were the best.
i love you RUclips algorithm
First time. Long time. And I apologize for being stupid… but I am from California… how do you spell “Guy”?
I'm Guy from California. And you spell "Guy" as..."Guy".
Great shout out to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerchwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, or Llanfair PG as it appears on road signs.
where can you get the buzzy bee beanie?
Give every man his DEW.
Everyone can spell peepole.
Fucking love it!
TeaM2 is awesome!
Good god they really are bad spellers lol...that corduroy round was hard to watch lmaooo love these guys though
Maybe my spelling isn't that bad.
It's good to see Matt sucks only 90% as much in real life.
They're all very true to their portrayals on the show.
HEY!!!! I like Matt for wearing that Los Angeles Dodgers hat!
WOW poor James Acaster :D Dude tried so hard just to get dissed on the other side of the world :D Also the NZ accent really fucks them up. Impossible to know what to use when I and E sound exactly the same :P
