I have the hot racing crash structure on mine and the aluminum has not caused anything else to break. It's spring loaded so it doesn't put any added pressure on other parts other than itself. It was the best upgrade. It has never broken again. I take it to the skate park. You need the aluminum one or it will keep breaking.
good to know. I have a 3d printed one on right now but I do have a original and a aluminum spare. I got a bunch of other alloy upgrades as well. Still editing the video for that one.

It was a lot of searching to find a place that had stock. I have orders I've placed for this rc that aren't here yet. Now it's the dirt tires that I can't find right now.
1:19 i probably have enough proline stickers to make a proline body, would probably be a hell of alot stronger than a proline body too
i like getting stickers! I just dont use them that much so they stay in my tool boxes lol.
My chain seemed to almost stop stretching after the initial stretch, which took me through 3 chain adjustments. Like you, I've run about 10 packs through this last adjustment, and it hasn't stretched any further! I ordered a chain from Horizon Hobbies, and the FedEx driver lost. then of course, HH was out when it came to replacement. Lol, Keep up the good work!
It definitely slowed down on stretching after the first adjustment. I have had more luck getting parts for this on Amazon and ebay than hobby shops and Horizon. All my Horizon preorders I have no news of yet.

I'm still waiting on my preorder from Horizon and my local hobby shop. Having one does help though. Definitely not fun watching these rip when you should have had yours already by now.

Nice vid now I know how 2 install I got the front tire just waiting on the rear tire before i put them on. I enjoy running mine on the street speed runs and wheelies and the stock rear is toast after about 30 packs and the chain a tad loose easy enough to adjust not a big deal thats too be expected.. Be careful with your left lanes as the chain guard scrapes and if you take it off it will chew up your chain and sprocket as you probably already know. Anyway Im going order a set of stock nobbies and make some ice tires just going to put little screws around the tires and do some ice racing when the pond freezes over this winter now that would be cool right ya got me thinking 😁

better for the streets thats for sure. The stock tires wear out too fast because they are meant for off road use. These wear pretty well and hook up on asphalt. .

Have you run yours with the street tires? Mine is having an issue with the chain guard grinding on the ground....just curious if you've had that same problem and or know of a solution...thx
my chain guide did hit but I just wore it down and now it hasn't been a issue.

What was your solution for left turns? With these tires my chain guard RUBS when making tight left turns, chained popped off twice.
The chain guard I let grind down with left turns. Seems to have ground down enough for me not to hit it much anymore. Never had a chain pop off on mine. I keep my chain clean and lubed and check/adjust slack. Also if your chain and sprockets are worn that can lead to chain coming off.

That screw on the front gork is there for a reason and needs to be tightened. Also upgrades make it a lot tougher. Nothing like going to play with it and 3 min into a run it’s broken.
