At a concert in Athens in one of the rests I shouted "Nick I love you", then he looked at me and said - "I love you, too!". He is an incredible person!
Think it's on prime,,,if you got that..look around on all the streamers..if not I'm sure you can get a good used dvd copy on Amazon for next to nothing..it's worth it.
so....I gotta ask. When did Nick Cave complete his transformation to become Neil Diamond? Anyone else see it? or just me? I digress......love on the rooooocks.
just watched the film/documentary. seems like a nice bloke, genuine. but the film elongates into self indulgence and narcissism. kinda had a thriller feel to it at the beginning which made it interesting. but the constant overlay of music became irritating. and having to listen to all his passengers worship him or them selves lost it for me. Brighton looked like a council estate too - nice place though.
I'm finding it bizarre, with the release of this film, that it's a foregone conclusion, if you like Nick Cave, you'll love this documentary. I understand the universal drooling from critics, even here, tracing to their endless pursuit of what's-hot-and-what's-not, but there are plenty others who actually listen to Nick Cave's music intensely and often, finding this documentary weirdly conventional, over-produced, sterile, and violative of any biographical trace of punk from the balladeer's past. From the ten-point lighting kit at the mock psychotherapy session, to the jib floating the camera around those armchairs, to the awkward conversations that were conceptually improvised but fundamentally staged, this film is the equivalent of a corporate video for an annual shareholder's meeting, or a broadcast network reality television show egging for market share. Will someone else speak up too, please? Nick Cave is one of the great multi-disciplinary artists of our time, and his extraordinary talents are scurrying around the festival circuit for this film at the expense of what he could be creating quietly at home: a new album, a new screenplay, a new film score, a new novel.
I know this comes 8 years on, but I totally agree with this comment. Remembered the film this morning and I'll rewatch tonight, but I remember feeling like Nick Cave was less deep, more pretentious and ultimately insecure than I'd thought. Amazing songwriter and performer, but art and artist are two distinct entities.
OMG it's awsome!!! yo~~ I look foward to this and the only problem is that where I can see in china??However, it's excellent!! 好期待啊卧槽!!!!!!救命!!!!!!!求汉化啊【←要点脸】没人汉化窝就来啊啊啊!!【←就跟我听的懂似的→_→
Having seen The birthday Party at the hacienda in the early 80's I thought this might be interesting. Nick Cave is not his heroes, he his not Tom Waits , not Nico, Not Blix Bargeld, not Lou Reed, Not Leonard Cohen, Not Ian Curtis. This film made me cringe , and realize what a pretentious light weight he his, but in his world he is an heavy weight. 0 out of 5 , but I will admit the cinematography was very good. Brighton is a great place for Nick Cave has it is full of other middle class wankers.

in a world where Post Malone is one of the most popular "artists"... I'm glad we have Nick Cave to soften the harshness of the stupidity.

pretentious
I'm unsure as to whether this will be extremely boring or extremely interesting............guess that means I'll have to see it in order to decide.

Be even better if he had real talent rather than this mythologized, pretentious gothic poseur.
why don't you just shut up and keep it to yourself, if you don't get it? btw, sorry for you.
