These videos include three ad breaks in the middle and the images keep moving. Maybe this is one of the motivations to get the youtube uploads up to date, so if they have to announce the end of the youtube channel, they can do it on the podcast and the youtube channel at the same time.

The thing about RUclips Red and the lack of communication with independent creators is that RUclips isn't particularly interested in those creators. RUclips is primarily interested in chasing the corporate music and movie dollars. I'm certain all the details of RUclips Red were communicated to those corporations well in advance. If the independent creators make more money with Red that will be a pleasant side effect rather than a goal of the process. This is also why the copyrights claim system isn't going to get better anytime soon. The system is set up to favor those corporations that they are interested in working closely with, and they aren't going to upset that apple cart by changing the system to be more fair to independent content creators.
