In 1987 I got issued ration packs from 1967. The Luncheon Meat, Type II was death in a tin. The chocolate was white powder held together by thoughts and prayers.
G'day guys this is the oldest cr1m case ever seen on RUclips. Make sure you watch this video, it will be one of my best, cheers
Dude this was a true treasure. It's unfortunate a couple were really showing the age but the first couple looked a lot better than I figured.
G'day mate, yes it really is a miracle, that they all didn't end up the way of the rusty ones 6 good rations out of 10 was pretty good.
Thanks for watching cheers mate
Awesome video I love the look of the old CR1M s
Yes they are pretty cool.
Not sure if many more would be like these ones.
Cheers
Wow that first one was nearly perfect. Should consider sending one to the ration museum.
G'day gundog, thanks for the comment, I assumed they only have us rations.
I might send a message and see if they keen.
Cheers thanks for the idea, cheers mate.
What a find Peter!! I was crossing my fingers for you when you lifted that first lid. Glad to see some survivors 👍
Hi Viper yes me too i was sure the whole lot were going to be nasty black mess, very surprised i ended up with 6 ones with no leaks, a miracle, Cheers mate
Nice score Pete! Had my 🤞 when you popped open that first tin. Happy you have some to review!
G'day mate, yes me to I fully expect to find them all rusty, real lucky that any survived. At all they are going to make a great review.
Cheers mate
Hi Salty Croc !
Wow that's awesome. Great job as always. Love the old stuff. Take care my friend
G'day.
I love the old stuff so much more than the fresh stuff so much more interesting.
Cheers mate
Good on you Peter ! nice video.
Gday John, thanks for watching cheers
That was cool Pete. I would have opened that one out side. Lol. Greetings from Michigan. Keep them coming
Gday Dennis, i film my reviews in the garage so i am almost outside, it went straight to the bin outside after filming.
thanks for your comments, Cheers pete
That is a great find. Seven out of ten, that's pretty good. Looking forward to seeing a full review. Nice unboxing. Take care Pete 👍
Gday Tracey, Thanks for watching the unboxing video, it really was a miracle any survived, i am working on the review of one of the cr1ms at the moment, it will be older than Steves review by 9 years, i am looking to see if he wants to trade one with me, but i cant get a hold of him.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Cheers
Great review, Pete! I'm interested in getting a CR1M now. Thanks buddy
G'day mate they are an awesome ration for sure.
You don't want an old one.
Get a fresh one if you can.
Cheers pete
Ah boy what a great box you got there. Thats such an awesome find!
Hi su really a rare case in deed, you won't see cr1ms older than these anywhere.
Cheers mate
Hahaha, holy cow, those lower ones! Amazing. Well heck, this was fantastic seeing the case! Dang. I love it.
G'day smitty I doubt anyone will find an older case of cr1ms, the cancer cans would have destroyed them all by now, stay tuned in the the review of the ration comming up soon, cheers mate
Awesome find mate ! Great review . This review bought back some memories for sure ! I consumed many 1990 , 1991 , 1992 dated packs back in the day 😋
I’m astonished that 6 of these had in fact survived & yes , the fruit can is almost always the culprit .
Rosemary with Lamb & Vegetables was almost everyone’s favourite meal as well . The survival biscuits were also quite good . I dare say the tube of jam leaked in that accessory packet .
Awesome one Pete !!
Gday Rob,
Thanks for watching the video, i am glad that you enjoyed it and it brought you memories. i am half way though filming the review of the ration and its very obvious that back in the 90's they didn't eat as much as they do now, its no where near as fully stocked as the current cr1ms.
I think its the jam or condensed milk that has leaked.
Cheers Pete.
Very much looking forward to this one Pete !! Woohoo 🥳
Thanks rob going to be a great video
That 4th one just exploded!! 😆👍
Yes we had a few that didn't make it sadly
Amazing find. Glad to see some are intact!
Yes I know it would have been a sad video if they all were rusty black messes.
Thanks for watching as always, cheers mate
@@pete_review as always love your videos
Wow these are older than steves review of a 2000 cr1m
Gday mate yes thats right these a 9 years older, thee oldest ever seen in tack
Wow, what a cool review. Neat part of history right there!!
Thanks mate, yes it really is if your into rations of course.
Cheers mate
Missed you and your videos! Bin away for a bit. But back now. Love ya 💕💯🥰
Thanks Cheryl I have been wondering where you have been.
I hope you are doing well.
Cheers pete
@@pete_review I'm doing good now. Family! But I'm happy to be back and to see you. 💕
Holy................... Well! I have never seen, this package, or, this particular ration. I love something, I have never seen. Granted, age, of, what I have never seen, means, Shows some damage, or, at least , aggravated. Inside look, is awesome sir. Looks like A new ration. We knew there would be damage, over age. It actually seems minimal, for my expectations, due to age. Not A great meal, or , meals, but, Looks good, and, A piece of history , to put on display. I wish you luck, on future endeavors, moves, Etc. Pease, from Somerset , Ky. , USA, John.
Gday John, thanks for watching the video i am glad you enjoyed it, it really is a piece of history for sure, i have been on the look out for a older cr1m with cans for ages i didnt expect to get a whole case.
its not going to be likely that much if any will be consumable, but i am filming the review and i will find out very soon.
Take care mate.
A damn shame! I’ve been lucky. I’ve never had a bad ration and I’ve had them 10 years old. Cans are not known to last too long. 30 years is beyond hope. Blessings 👍🏼
G'day David, the cr1m has always up until recently had cans and they have a short shelf life, i have rations under 10 years old that have leaky cans.
its a shame as there would be so many older cr1ms out there if the fruit can didn't leak.
Take care mate, cheers
Crazy ass treat yah found!
Yes it really was a great find, No older cr1ms have been seen.
Great rvw, I think those gloves were to small 🤣🤣. Could be the way they were stored up right with the pressure on the bottom.
Thanks mate yes I think the gloves were from the kitchen so I think they are the the wife's, I got em on in the end and I needed them.
Cheers mate
@@pete_review but as always great review and good find on those rations. Can’t wait till you crack one open for a full review. Take care and stay safe my friend.
The ugly and the beautiful... wow what a mess. Think it was an expensive shopping mate :-)
Gday Rick, You know what it was a bargain, and i could sell one and recoup my outlay.
i am looking to trade some with other youtubers.
thanks for watching mate
I hope the internal contents end up being in good shape.
I am in the process of editing the review of the ration and let me say it looks better than it smelt.
lots of food right there
Thanks Billie yes they are a huge ration. Thanks for watching my video, cheers mate
Fantastic find! You wouldn't happen to be selling one of these? I assume not
Hi I do have a couple of spares.
Not sure what it's worth though
@@pete_review I collect 1980s era militaria, with a soft spot for rations. Just recently got a vintage Canadian IMP id been after for years which was very exciting! If you want to sell one of these id love to add it to my collection, but I am aware they are rare so I don't blame you if you wish to hold on to them. As for price, I have no idea, ive never seen one sell before so I don't know what they go for, but I've not really been paying attention until recently.
Do these packs or theiur contents actually come with a "use-by" date ?
Hi John, no they don't actually have a date or a inspection date, but I am sure it would be 2 - 3 years after the packaging date.
You know storage conditions are important..
Gday Mate yes for sure storage is key, Thanks for watching my video's, Cheers
Fun review Pete!! Rat shit! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
G'day cam I thought you would enjoy this video.
I chuck in a few more expletives in the next one as well, cheers mate
Crikey.
Yes in deed thanks for watching
