Back in the 1980s I did numerous road trips on my motorcycle ( s), and car.
In addition to that I also drove a Leyland Tusker Julundur Leh Jullundur in summer and Jull Cal or Bom during winter.
Road trips on my Yezdi , Jull ......Leh......manali.........Chd....... Jull, Jull Allahabad, Bom Jull. Jull Dalhousie all the time.
Other motorcycles I had was a 1956 Triumph 650, a 1954 Sunbeam 1100 and a 1955 BSA 650.
I had an Ambassador fitted with a Mercedes 240 D diesel engine.
I was in my 20s then.
Been in USA since 1996. I live in Los Angeles, and am a professional interstate trucker driving a Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer between Los Angeles and Ohio cities. Round trip of about 5000 miles ( not KM).
My wife and I are now in our early 60s and we still do short ( 1000 mile radius) road trips in our Kia Sorrento, Kia Optima or on our Harley Trike Cruiser.

Hey! dharamshala is just 20-30 mins drive from mcleodganj. To cover everything in mcleodganj you wouldnt need more than 1 day. So we suggest that you stay in dharamshala and visit mcleodganj on a full day tour..Hope that helps..
