- The Chicago Sweeper in the Resident Evil 4 Remake (Formerly known as Chicago Typewriter) is a Bonus Weapon which you can unlock under specific requirements. In this video i give all information for that and how you can unlock the infinite ammunition perk for this weapon.

the thing i like the most is infact optional unlimited ammo perk, which means that typewriter and handcannon can be used as "normal" weapon :)

Yeah I love that too that the infinite ammo for the typewriter is optional. What I didn't like about the original RE4 was the gun was so damn powerful and it one shots everything. and I like that it can pretty much become a normal weapon like you said.
Chicago typewriter on the wii version was op since there was pretty much no recoil thanks to motion controls
Capcom actually fucking did it. They made the chicago typewriter/sweeper work like how its suppose to work. Instead of one shotting everything, they gave it insane stopping power so just one bullet causes long hit stun. Brav-fucking -O capcom👏👏👏
I absolutely love how they did this. Before I was like “what’s the point of having this insane fire rate if it just one shots everything anyways” and now it’s perfect
That was my only complaint with the original RE4 typewriter. Infinite ammo, but also had the fire power of a shotgun. Was basically no reason to use full auto, since like you said before, most enemies would die in 1 to 2 shots, excluding bosses, and most sub-bosses.
If I wanted something that had insanely high firepower, I would’ve just switch to the handcannon, or infinite launcher.
So in other words, they nerf the damage of this gun but in exchange they buff the stopping power/stun part of this rifle then.
It looks like how they get shot up in those mobster movies/TV shows 😂 amazing

So do multiple runs on lower difficulty to get max upgrades, then ng+ on professional is the way to go.

In the original you had to beat the game, then you had to beat separate ways and then you had to get 1 million PSTS on NG+. And it would take all day long
Infinite Rocket Launcher from beating the game normally should make it much easier to speedrun just save up the 2 mil for it before you start new game plus.
I guess u should start run professional after unlock the Infinite rocket launcher n speed run on it, don’t forget u need Ashley armor as well during her mission since knight armor will kill her one shot so be prepare

the m1a1 thompson can't accept drum mags, but the m1928 can, it has the charging handle on the top not the side

Fact: Chicago Sweeper (Thomson Sub-Machine Gun) name implies it's have a fairly high fire rate but lacks proper accuracy (While the M1 was around 600r/m, the early variant of Thomsons are around 900r/m. Which makes was high volume of fire rate, but takes skills for landing a rapid clean shot in distance), and had to relay high-cap magazines to mow down any targets in narrow areas (Example: Room corridors or Trenches)
In game, when you have infinite ammo you just need to spray and blaze any targets you seen...

Fun fact: this is technically a new gun. In the original this was called the Chicago Typewriter, and would only have a cylinder magazine if you picked the special outfit from the beginning of ng+

@@jesusjimenez2066 pretty much but technically when you put the suit on in OG RE4 it made the gun an 1928 A1 Thomson, where it is an M1 Thompson every where else.

They should call it the Bell Ringer, what kind of range does it have? Will you still need a pistol or rifle on a S+ run?
When you have passed the standard level, you get access to infinite ammunition. But do you keep it with you or do you have to go through it all over again when you choose the most difficult professional level?
Anything you’ve unlocked can go into New Game + on Professional mode making it easier to complete. So if you’re playing on standard and beat it anything you got there can be used in NG+ Professional difficulty
Everything I've read says it needs be on professional mode for you you to get the cat ears that grants infinite ammo.
You'll need S rank to pretty much unlock everything else good... S rank requires you to clear a save, beating the game, Beating the game a specific time... Then worse of all only saving the game 15 times... Pretty much inf Rocket launcher, Primal Knife and Inf Sweeper is the only thing you're getting

@@friedchickenandwatermelon8307 this video shows us that the final upgrade to the Chicago Sweeper is infinite ammo (literally says ammunition never runs out); The "cat ears" unlockable accessory grants infinite ammo to all weapons when equiped.
I feel like they will make and in game bonus that lets you pay for all bonus and unlockables like resident evil 2 & 3 remake
I really hope they do. It’s not fair if they don’t. Not everyone has the skill or time to play this game all day everyday to obtain S+ rank on hardest difficulty. Just let us pay 5-10 bucks to unlock it. Who cares.

@@katakurifan5213 yeah I don’t like the time restraints on the rankings to unlock the guns. I wish it were just beat the game on professional. Id be okay with that. Go at my own pace work my way through it and eventually beat it. But to have to stress about beating it in under X hours is a pain in the ass.

Ok for everyone wanting to know if you can use infinite launcher and primal knife or even the tommy gun to get a S+ rank you can just not as you may think you can use these beast weapons but only on a fresh new game not new game plus so you can get the infinite launcher but since it’s two million then say goodbye to your run but maybe using the sweeper and Ashly’s armor and also the unbreakable knife could make things a bit easier on your run but idk?
If u just go on professional in ng get infinite launcher and a a maxed out shotgun forget the side activities and puzzles and treasures skip all the cut scenes u will be able to get a S rank and finish the game within 4 hours

yeah, wherever you go it'll be in the storage box from typewritter, same with deluxe weapons (my sentinel nine and skull shaker) if you got those
I just beat this game assisted and i save a lot of money and i almost have 2,000,000 ptas. I want to know if i can use the infinite rocket launcher to unlock the chicago sweeper on New Game Plus Professional A Rank?
The reason being is i really want to unlock the cat ears starting a New Game Professional S+ Rank using the Chicago Sweeper and the cat ears look so cute on Leon.

You can, if you s+ on pro you get cat ears that give all guns unlimited ammo(except the rpg)

Sadly no. Infinite guns bring your grade down.

Also it took me exactly 7 hours and 13 minutes just to beat this game on hardcore so professional I'm sure you'd have to hussle a little more. I actually timed it too. In order to beat it in under 7 hours on professional mode you'd need to be at the wrecking ball part with Ashley within at least 5 hours into the game. Lol
I already beat hardcore 5 hours so I would said definitely getting Ashley armor is important as well, I am getting that without worrying hitting her n skipping all treasure except some of them high valuable

No, the upgrade ticket is only to unlock the any guns exclusive perk right away meaning you wouldn't have to purchase all the upgrades to the gun to unlock the exclusive perk for that specific gun. All guns have an exclusive perk that usually unlocks after you upgrade the gun all the way. That ticket allows you to purchase the exclusive perk immediately without having to upgrade the gun first.

@ChrisWolf 90 as far as I'm aware only a few specific guns like the inf rocket launcher and the few unlockable bonus weapons are infinite. They don't seem to give us as many inf ammo guns as they do in the other games but it's basically as many as you'd gave in the original re4

@Katakuri Fan it's actually not that hard if u just play it through new game+. Get the infinite rocket launcher first and you'll blast through the game no problem.
Now, what's actually ridiculous is having to get s+ rank on professional without new game+ to get the handcannon.

Kinda stupid they start with 30 rounds stick mag with capacity of 50 hahah yet thanks god M1A1 Thompson is available using stick mags since im not fan of the drum mag ones.

Ok, so this can be easy when I have the infinite rocket. Any suggestions on making tons of money in a single play-through?
Play on Assisted and collect all the treasures (Do the best gemstone combinations for higher prices too). Just focus on a few weapons and don't upgrade too much. If there ist still money missing just sell your upgraded weapons and you should reach the 2.000.000 ptas.

They do have infinite ammo for all weapons. You just have to unlock the cat ears in the content shop.

The developers should've just left the magazine the same. Why change it to the drum? To give the player the sense the weapons fully upgraded. It looked perfect as is

You'd be suprised its actully a little easy theres a lot of skips that'll save you a lot of time also just play on ng+ to keep your old loadout once you beat the game you'll get armored ashley too which makes your life even easier when trying to go for a S+ ranking
