I’m on the 2nd playthrough and realized how to get the stairs. Before going into the mausoleum with Ashley, first go to the library. In the back is a pedestal to put the light on. The book shelves will move and go in there to turn the wheel/handle to bring ‘em down. This way when Leon will have access.

This weapon when used properly is better than snipers. Amazing weapon

In the hallway after the armory that leads back to the great hall. It's in a chest right in front of you.
Thank you a million times...I just reached chapter 10 today...keep them coming❤❤
Don't forget Ashley had to find keys to open the stairs

@lordFarquaad 131 yup I totally missed it. Guess I'm going back to a previous save.

You can attach two different scopes to this weapon
@Patrick Novak no because it was act like a sniper in the remake you need a scope for it

This is cool personally I like the change to first person for the rifles. Also makes sense as the rifles in the orginal re4 were chambered in .223
where do you get that cube you used to unlock the assault rifle?
Every time I go there the stairs are not down
So I screwed myself from this gun by speed running this part 🤣
I just randomly stumbled upon this when trying to use a block key 😅
a CQB version of M4 works as a sniper rifle, thats werid...
Exactly. They should've just made a DMR automatic rifle in .308, but it looks like they just copied and pasted the rifle from RE3 remake instead.
It’s weirder that the rifles are all chambered in .223, considering that they are intended to be power weapons.
How do you put the stairs down before the puzzle??
If one ganado used that against leon... 🗿
Well I messed up by speed running Ashley's part.

Nah, Merchant sells it at a discount when you get to the mine section.
Why the weapon in resident evil 4 not use a real name weapon ?
Because they would've had to pay for the license to use it in their game.

yea
