The easiest way to get all infinite weapons by getting an S+ rank is by getting the hand cannon and then blasting through the game and it will be easier to S+ ranks since it is easy to unlock the hand canon by getting an S rank in mercenaries you will have an easy time.
Honestly imo there should just be a infinite weapon toggle unlock for all the guns. Sometimes I would just like to run through and use whatever I want yknow
If you clear Professional on S+ you unlock the Cat Ears accessory which grants infinite ammo for all weapons. From what I understand, you can use Bonus Weapons and still qualify to get them, unlike the Handcannon.

The og for me is easier, the only difficult part is to get 5 star leon on water world, other than that the rest was pretty easy, it took me 2 weeks to master their respawn spot and keep up the combo

It’s not that hard. You have to complete 2 games in this order to make it easier. First game use the Chicago typewriter with unlimited ammo once you pull it out from your storage and you can get the cat ears after that first run easy. Second game use the cat ears and you’ll have unlimited ammo for any gun (you can’t use the Chicago typewriter and primal knife on the second run.) My best advise is use your money for the shot gun and the RPG when you can afford it. The RPG will one shot every boss phase saving you so much time
if you play the video at 0.25x speed and at the 1:20 mark, you can see Leon moving his thumb after firing the gun and cocking the hammer like a single action revolver

The Killer7 and Broken Butterfly revolver use magnum ammo just like the OG. I assume you use the magnum ammo on the hand cannon until you unlock the infinite ammo.

No but in order to get the Handcannon you need to finish the game on New Game and the infinite rocket launcher is only available on New Game Plus. So basically impossible to use it for this

2 things I find disappointing about this remake is 1 it's not on Xbox One since Xbox Series X/S games are not compatible with Xbox One and 2 the PRL 412 is not in this remake. I thought they would bring back the PRL 412 into the remake but nope they didn't.
TBH I felt like hardcore was harder for me because I unintentionally never died until I reached the save rooms anyway. I cant wait to play through it but the one playthrough on hardcore was exhaustive enough for me that I will wait for a bit before I do that one. All upgrades unlocked from the start sounds OP though.
Just complete it on proffesional new game, its rather easy this remake compared to the original re4, the castle part was always a pain in the ass in the original, in the remake its easy

I didn’t test this but you can figure it out super easy. Just start a new game and shoot one of the deluxe weapons. Then go to the challenge entry for the Handcannon. If the counter is above 0 they count as bonus weapons. If it’s 0 you can use them👍🏻
U should be able to use ng+. If i beat this game on the hardest difficulty, whats the point of running through it with an easier weapon? Not sure how hard peoffesional mode is, but at least id know id have more fun having access to ammo and weapons from my previous playthroughs.

My bet is yes you're supposed to use the cat ears (or be gigachad). I'm really just mad that Professional isn't available by default because of course I am gigachad but the game won't even let me try to play the game that way without wasting my first playthrough on an assisted mode run. I might just finish hardcore to spite the devs but dang it's a lot of time wasted when you unlock NOTHING for playing hardcore at a normal pace (you do unlock the chicken hat by getting S+ on Hardcore but that's still absolutely out of the question for a first run).

No you cannot, if you beat professional with a s+ ranking you get a accessory that gives you infinite ammo for all weapons bar the rpg which will make it alot faster

Yes, once unlocked the Handcannon will be in your storage at typewriters on all your save files

You cannot use the infinite rocket launcher, but you CAN use Ashley's knight suit.

I didn’t test this but you can figure it out super easy. Just start a new game and shoot one of the deluxe weapons. Then go to the challenge entry for the Handcannon. If the counter is above 0 they count as bonus weapons. If it’s 0 you can use them👍🏻

U should be able to use ng+. If i beat this game on the hardest difficulty, whats the point of running through it with an easier weapon? Not sure how hard peoffesional mode is, but at least id know id have more fun having access to ammo and weapons from my previous playthroughs.
Aww you can't use New Game Plus in order to get Hand Cannon? I was really hoping I could at least have my weapons carried over in order to unlock this.

My bet is yes you're supposed to use the cat ears (or be gigachad).
I'm really just mad that Professional isn't available by default because of course I am gigachad but the game won't even let me try to play the game that way without wasting my first playthrough on an assisted mode run.
I might just finish hardcore to spite the devs but dang it's a lot of time wasted when you unlock NOTHING for playing hardcore at a normal pace (you do unlock the chicken hat by getting S+ on Hardcore but that's still absolutely out of the question for a first run).

i saw this today and sold my red 9 and shotgun and upgraded this handcannon to max after i got it from mercanaries and proceeded to demolish the entire game
I'm gonna keep away from making this gun exclusive . As powerful as this gun is making it infinite feels like it will take the fun away

No you cannot, if you beat professional with a s+ ranking you get a accessory that gives you infinite ammo for all weapons bar the rpg which will make it alot faster
