I’m so sorry. My Mom died in December at age 97. She always said she wanted to “go to sleep and wake in heaven” and that is what she did. Fortunately, she was able to stay home with me and I was able to care for her until her swift journey to heaven. All my love and care for you from Texas.
I lost my mom to cancer when I was 17. As she was dying I remember holding her hand, and her grip was so strong that it shocked me. How could someone whose body was so weak hold on so tightly...the power of a mother's love. It is endless. Your mention of holding Mutti's hand reminded me of that moment. It's been 15 years and I'd forgotten. Thank you for unlocking a beautiful memory. Sending love and a season of healing to you Jo.

I remember I saw on RUclips a clip of Jo Matilda and Mutti in a car. This started my love for the vlog loved Mutti's wisdom and her love of yoga. But most of all the relationship with her daughter Jo. My favourite episode was the Sainsbury shopping. Such a sad loss but an inspiration to us all 🌟 gentle hugs Jo and family 😢😘😘

I am so sorry to hear of Mutti’s passing,but grateful to hear how peaceful it was for her. My mom died when I was 17 I am now 68. Yet I feel her with me everyday. When I wear a piece of her jewelry or a scarf of her’s. You were both lucky to have each other’s love;and you can carry that with you as you journey through life. ❤❤❤

Oh Jo. We share a lot this week. My Mum passed away just six weeks ago, one month short of her 95th birthday, also in a wonderful care home where she had dementia. It leaves an emptiness and a sadness. Take care of yourself❤

I saw this post this morning on Instagram and have had a bittersweet sad day. She was such a joy, such a joy I always directed my comments towards her.
We all enter a new chapter but I know the angels guided her gently home and she is with us now in a new way. 🌹🌸🙏

Jo-I first found your vlogs because of Matilda and delighted in watching the two of you in the car with Mutti. I am so sorry for you ur loss(I lost my mom this past Christmas)and as much as we know it is coming, the grief can be overwhelming. My dad had dementia his past 10 years and I felt we lost him slowly-my mom had cared for him at home for years and finally found a wonderful care as it became impossible at home. You are so fortunate to have the vlogs to watch and remember her in happier times. You were blessed to have her in your life for all those years. My deepest sympathies.
