Sometimes being a mature single woman can be challenging and overwhelming and it occasionally crosses our minds that we would like to take a break from dealing with the moutain of things we have to cope with on our own. But far better than being in a controlling marriage as i was. How lovely to know that there are still gentlemen around 🥰. Mertyles face was picture when you were talking to her 💗
I’ve been divorced for years have 4 kids raised them worked. Nobody to catch me when I fell all those years. I just turned 71 and I realized my kids are adults with kids took me a long time for me to figure out they were self sufficient😂that was my world. Now I am my world self discovery at 71 it’s beautiful. I love all your energy and enthusiasm for life at almost my age so you are an inspiration ❤️

I love that Myrtle doesn't look too impressed with the idea of two hours of training. Such an angelic face! I am so glad I found your channel. I find your meanderings match mine in so many ways. Understand completely the feelings you are having after the car incident. It's always different when you are dealing with stuff on your own. Lots of reflection afterwards. You are great for picking yourself up making the best of everything

Hi Joe what a fabulous vlog that was really enjoyed it. I love the part where you were talking about being single. I totally identify these fleeting moments when we wish there was someone to look out for us but we love our independence so much it would be hard to give up totally get where you’re coming from. I’m so pleased this wonderful gentleman was around to come to your aid and what seemed like an awful situation, I can see why it was tempting to daydream a little bit about him. After 2 marriages with the last one lasting 30 years I am now single for the last 4 years and loving it! I love the peace and doing exactly what I want. I’m like you Jo I don’t need or want a man 😂

I really enjoyed watching and listening to you in the car en route back from the event. You seemed to be at your most natural. You were unconcerned about how your hair looked. You weren't posing to show us your outfit. Your demeanor was very compelling. I'm glad that awful experience was lessened by the arrival of the 'bike man' in shining reflective gear. I like your reflective moments.

Hi Jo, thank you for your vlogs. I'm a Londoner, living in Southern California, and I look forward to immersing myself in a little bit of home with you, every Sunday.
Although I've been away for way too long, I do realize London has its challenges; I still miss it so much though and would move home in a heartbeat if I could.
When you spoke in this vlog about the situation with that aggressive driver, and how the gentleman came along and tried to remedy the problem and ensure you were ok; all I could think of was if that had been here in SoCal, (even in an upscale area) one would have been really concerned about the cyclist, in case the aggressive driver had a gun in his car. Not an uncommon scenario here, unfortunately.
I'm happily single too, after managing to escape from a decades long abusive marriage.
I'm proud to be making it on my own, it's taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears. However, I understand what you meant when you pondered upon what it might be like to have a valiant. kind and caring partner to share life with. Sending lots of love x
Jo I very much relate to the sentiments about being single. It's a lot to have to do everything on your own. A trade off. It's lovely to be cared for on a deep level and to care for someone else on that level too.

Jo, I loved your story about how hard it sometimes is to be alone, and yet, there are moments when we solos, lean comfortably into a nice, kind man's assistance. I have been a solo now for 11 years, and just returned from a three week trip to the UK (and a short mini-excursion to Paris). I was standing at the luggage pickup in Boston, with my luggage cart because I had too much luggage to wheel the luggage without it to the Uber pickup at the airport. I had my space, waited for the luggage, but was quickly crowded out by men who were picking up the luggage for their traveling companions....and I thought, sometimes it's so damn hard to be a solo. That said, maybe I need a rent a husband for those times I wish I had a partner.

I think that whatever situation a woman is in ( single or married) it is so important to embrace that situation and be content. At this point in my life I am very content with my situation. I think it is typical for people to look at a situation that is the opposite of their own and to think the grass is greener over there. Well, it is NOT greener!! Elizabeth in Texas

I have been single for a very long time and now living on my own after my daughter’s departure to university. I’m 62 and find it hard to contemplate having a partner living with me. But, Jo, you hit the nail on the head. Sometimes it would be nice to have someone looking after me and take the pressure off all those things you do for yourself. Plus the majority of my friends are happily married and occasionally I remind them they have the luxury of a husband.❤
Oh, Jo....."that lovely man" was like my late husband. I know I was so Blessed to have 42 years with him. Doing things alone I am getting better at...hugs to you and sweet Myrtle (Loved that coat) ❤

What a vlog this week, Jo! You telling Myrtle to focus....I laughed so hard! I was wondering if Myrtle has some condition that makes it hurt to turn left. Men...I LOVE men...I've raised two and had to kick one man (husband) to the curb...regrettably. There are times I could use the muscle around the house and perhaps someone to bounce ideas or decisions off of...otherwise, NO, not going back. Have a great week Jo :)
Knight of the road…such a kindness is rare. I have been married almost 40 years but live a parallel life rather than a couples relationship. We have our own individual interests and friends but some shared interests too. I lived alone for 8 years and valued my independence and feel I still have that at my core even though I live with someone.

I’ve been single for the greater portion of my life. Are there times when I would like a companion? Yes when I have to move something heavy, deal with household repairs or the car. That’s what I miss, being single - someone to have my back when Life kicks me down. Oddly enough, both my ex-husband and ex-partner only ever had one criticism of me - that I was too independent so they didn’t feel needed. But both abandoned me so what choice do I have??

Jo I am single like you - I love my life but there are times when I feel like you - not very often but I totally get what you are saying - I can do what I want , when I want , talk to who I want too , have my own life - it is hard making decisions at times but I can’t imagine living with anyone now ❤

Not mentioning the eyebrows but i have white nearly non existent eyebrows but i use a powder wit a slanted brush in ash blonde as brown is either too dark or ginger on me. Anastasia duo powder i like. Ive gone for a darker look as it now suits me better. My hair is very light blonde.just a tip . Love that you drive in london. Missing Dave x
