Dear Miss Molly, your Golden Highway band is so mic sensitive, I've never heard your guitar get lost in the mix. Everyone is listening so hard, it all gets out front. Great talents, you and all your bandmates, so good to see the future in such great hands. Thank you,,,,thank you.
I am glad you did this video. I wanted more on how this guitar worked for you. I have a lot of respect for you as an acoustic player. That says a lot. The neck looks like a pretty wide radius compared to a Martin or some Taylors.
Hard to tell over YT, but this seems a level or two above the Fender Acoustatonics which seem to have flamed out. Yamaha now has interesting guitar with built in effects.
I've had this problem for years and maybe hopefully you have answered .... even still I would say this guitar and a bit of a hummingbird hybrid is what I'm looking for.... I will definitely be looking at this instrument in the near future
I think it is time for me to upgrade the FIshman in my J45 to LR Bagg Hifi Duet. Do you think AEG-1 is too expensive for a plywood guitar? And the body shape reminds me of my 60 year old neighbour. That reminds me I also need to start working out. Molly is great.
Cool. Not sure who built Lindsey Buckingham’s semi acoustic back in the day, but her playing style here and talking about keeping all the guitar parts up in the mix instantly reminded me of Fleetwood Mac. So many songs have started with a very cool guitar part, then the band kicks in and you lose the guitar almost completely.. till the outro.
The issue with this instrument, is that it has a very narrow nut width... of about 1 11/16.... That makes it more difficult for fingerstyle and flatpicking. Hopefully there will be a verstion of this unique guitar with a 1 3/4 nut width.
@@scottmoreau5630 its 1.7... so that is barely more then 1.68, that is 1 11/16.. This nut is not even 1.73, which is also narrow.. So, a 1.7 nut, is very close to 1 11/16... and that narrow width, means the strings are closer together, which works against finger-style, and flat picking. Notice that Molly has put a capo on the Guitar in the Video? The Capo is a new Nut.. so, she's making it wider.....by doing that because she is playing a picking style that is hindered by a very narrow nut width., like 1.7.
Fortunately for some, the nut is narrow. My fretting hand had 2 operations on it before I was 5, and several other injuries. Finger picking and clawhammer on a narrow nut are just fine for me. The wider nuts are a problem.
An amazing thing happens after a while once you play a new guitar with different specs than what you're used to, your hands actually adjust to the instrument. Anyone can adjust to the nut width with enough time. I watched Trey Hensley flatpick the crap out of this guitar with zero issues. Of course, he could do that on any guitar. He also finger picked on it just fine.

I saw Molly playing this live a couple months ago and I had a real "WHAT IS THAT GUITAR!?" reaction in the moment. It sounded great live.
same!
Molly is such an amazing musician. She inspires us old players. Love her whatever she's playing.❤
Molly is such a sweet heart! So much talent, and so humble....

Great guitar, made greater still, in the hands of the incredible Molly Tuttle!
Nice demo. We love Molly up in Nevada County.
Thank you Molly :)
LUV me some Molly Tuttle💖💖🌹🌹

How about Justin Johnson next?
Has a township jive feel
One day when the price comes down.

what?
I wish she had demoed the guitar without being 4th fret capo. Wanted to hear her touch in standard pitch to showcase the guitar.
It doesn't sound like its plugged in. I wish she had said what settings she used, so we know not to do it that way....
Isn’t that the point of an acoustic pickup?
To make it sound natural like it’s not plugged in?
That’s what i prefer in a pickup.
Stupidest comment on the internet. You win man
I don't think your going to see these on stage for very long, if at all...not in Bluegrass anyway.
Seen her play this live multiple times already. So...
@davidc2938 I'm sure you have. That's cool. I just don't think it will last long.
